Very disappointed with Sand's cleaners especially recently. We have been coming here for a long time. I had given 15 pieces for dry cleaning, they returned 12 on the day it was due and couldn't find 3 pieces. I was asked to return the next day which I did and they still couldn't locate it. The lady in the front, Rosa, was trying her best but she hasn't been trained in how to use the system. She called the owner who was of absolutely no help. She told her to figure it out. She did not offer to come help! While this was happening, another lady came in and they couldn't find her garment either. Luckily the customer saw it on the rack as it was going around. I was told they would look for it and if found they would drop it off to us since we needed it for an event we were flying out to. I tried calling 3 times the next morning, no one picks up. No one even reached out to let us know if it was found or not or to apologize . Very poor customer service and management. I will not be returning here. read more

I stopped by to check this place out. DO NOT GO! They are racists and only serve Hispanics. I go inside and no one is there to help. I hear someone in the back and I yell out "hello!". The lady sees me and gets on her cell phone to call a "Juanita". They casually speak on the phone (non work related) while I am yelling out for help for 10 minutes! Then a gentleman walks in (also hispanic) and I asked him how to get help here and he just yells out "Hello!". That same lady answers right away and comes to the front to help the man. Are you serious? She for sure heard me. She then went to help the guy even though I waiting there for 10 minutes already. She looked at me with disgust up and down because why? There is a new young man that works there and he is just so unpleasant and rude with no customer service skills. This has been the cleaners of choice for me and other members of my family for many, many years. I have never had any issues until yesterday. I dropped off my clothes on Monday, but the person who handled the register was not in, yet, so I wasn't able to pay. I called the store later that morning and the lady asked me if I was going to pay with cash. I replied that I was going to pay by check. The lady said that if I came in that same day to pay with cash, she would give me a 5% discount. I declined saying that I would come in to pay by check when I picked up my dry cleaning. She said it would be ready on Wednesday by the end of the day. When I picked up my clothes, I handed the gentleman a check for the full amount. He looked at it and went to the back of the store. He came back with two women, the lady who took my clothes when I dropped them off Monday morning, and Rosalie (I think that's her name - she's been working there for years). I was told that they do not accept checks. I let them know that I spoke with a woman on the phone whom I told I would be paying by check and nothing was ever said to me otherwise. The woman with Rosalie looked confused and tried asking Rosalie to accept my check, but Rosalie looked at my check then looked at me and said, "we have not accepted checks for years!" I asked her why I wasn't told that when I spoke with the woman on the phone and told her that I would be paying by check. Rosalie replied, "she's new." I did not have any cash with me because I was not prepared to pay with cash, so I had to pay by credit card and was charged a fee to use my card. This experience went from potentially receiving a 5% discount to being charged a 3% surcharge fee. I am not disputing the fee, many stores charge the customer the surcharge fee. My complaint is that this could have easily been resolved had someone told me they don't accept checks or had they posted a sign notifying customers that checks were not accepted. To top it off, when I got home and examined my coats, they looked as if they were old and worn out. How could they go from being in great shape when I dropped them off to looking so old when I picked them up? I hope this place does better! read more

Not sure if Rosa is still here, since I didn't see her the last visit, but want to do a shout out as she was always the person i interacted when dropping and picking up my clothes, especially for work. She is always energetic and have a big smile and is well appreciated. I never had any issues and they have gone above and beyond for some of my past requests, and they delivered. I've been coming to this dry cleaners for over 16 years. Could not stand the previous owner, he was just an ass. Haven't met the new owner but the intake person, Rosie, seems happy so he must be ok. My clothes have always been clean and pressed and no problems at all. I think they shrunk a shirt of mine 9 years ago but everything else has been done right. And always on time. My only complaint, and the reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is, the website advertises $3.25 prepaid, no limit, Any Garment Cleaned and Pressed. And it's always cost the same for me to clean a pant, top, sweater, cardigan, etc., until the last couple times I've come. Now I'm charged more for cardigans, I don't get it, some of my pants are heavier than a cardigan...oh well, I'm not going to stop using this cleaners, they do a nice job and Rosie makes the place fun!! read more

Don't go here. I asked the person at the front desk if they use a chemical which does not leave a smell because it gives me headaches and she told me no. It does not leave a smell. I picked up my clothes and as I was driving I noticed this smell. I then found out that it was coming from the clothes. While I was there I smelled one of the shirts but didn't seem to notice anything. But once I got the clothes in the car, that's when I noticed it. I went back and said "you told me that the chemical that you guys used didn't have a smell". She then told me "well, sometimes it does and customer do complain about it". WTH? I then said "I asked you before dropping them off if your chemical leaves a smell" and she didn't respond or say anything. That was money waisted. I now have clothes hanging in a bedroom that I dont use hoping that smell will go away. It may take 3 or 4 months, but I have to give that a shot or else take them somewhere else and spend more money to have them re-cleaned. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

This place is great and cheap, until you have a problem. The fact of the matter is it's not IF you will have a problem, but when. I've had two sheep-skin car seat covers ruined and a silk shirt w/ plastic beading. In both cases the owner (who is not a pleasant man, BTW) refused to take responsibility. His excuse for the sheep-skin covers was that he contracted the work out, and I should talk to the contractor about restitution. The silk shirt clearly stated on the label it needed to be dry cleaned; but, somehow the buttons melted onto the silk. He claimed he followed the label instructions, and I need to take it up with the manufacturer. Good thing Macy's has a very generous return policy. I would not recommend this cleaner. Based solely on the fact that they refuse to take responsibility for anything they smurf up. read more

I had been using Sands for about 10 months or so with no MAJOR problems (I take my jeans there to be dry cleaned to preserve the color & shape and twice they laundered them instead). The staff is friendly enough and the $1.75 pre-pay price is tough to beat. Now, I'm not sure what went down in LAURA R.'s case but I will never again give these guys my business. The owner gave four shirts and a pair of slacks of mine to another customer with a similar last name, never once checking to see that the numbers on the receipt matched, obviously. It has now been over two weeks and I still haven't had all of my items returned to me yet. When I finally got the slacks back, the guy had actually worn them & Sands didn't bother to re-clean them. I've had to hound this guy every few days to see what the progress is because, he has yet to call me even once to inform me of what's going on. His apologies feel empty and once I have my last shirt returned to me, you can bet good money I will never go back. read more

I don't do a whole lot of dry cleaning, but this is where I've been going the last several months after the last place I was going to pissed me off by losing the tie off of my dress (which has been dry cleaned tons of times in the past without any problems). They might be cash pay only, but then I usually don't bring a whole lot in at once, so I just pay cash & haven't tried any other form of payment. Anyway, they've done a good job for me so far, at great prices! Some one needs to explain to me why people bring jeans & casual clothes to the dry cleaners!? I see that every once in a while & I don't get that. It's in a little strip mall on the west side of Saratoga Ave. south of Stevens Creek) with a narrow parking lot in front, which can get pretty busy on weekends (people going to eat at the restaurants there), but there's parking in the back too if the short term parking spaces are full. read more

Yeah, it is cheap, but eventually your clothing starts disappearing! I dropped off 5 shirts for cleaning. When I picked them up there were only 4. His copy of the ticket had been changed to show that 4 shirts were dropped off. I confronted him with my ticket and he made up some story about me taking (a dirty!) shirt out of pile at time of drop off. Then he told me to go home and figure out which shirt was missing. I wish I could give less stars. Horrible experience. First time using them, gave them clothes for DRY CLEANING and I am almost certain they laundered the clothes. Second, the clothes were not even pressed/ironed correctly-- the bottom of the shirt (the part that gets tucked in to the pants) was still wrinkly, creased all over the clothes. Overall a BAD dry cleaner. Cash business = shady, no customer management system to help make life easier when doing business with them / them keeping track of your stuff/preferences. Back to poorly pressed shirts / questionable cleaning -- I let them know it's my first time, I live in the area, and NICELY ask if this is an accurate example of their business/work (if so I don't wan to come back) the employee tells me to come back tomorrow and she will talk with the owner... well I come back the next day and NOTHING is done. No notes, no info, nothing. Just my same poorly cleaned clothes with wrinkles that I UNFORTUNATELY prepaid therefore not allowing me to get a refund ("we don't give them only the owner does")... straight up bad work, bad business practices, and poor customer service... don't be fooled by the inexpensive/cheap prices because it stems from them NOT DOING ANYTHING correctly, in a way you get what you pay for. read more

Horrible attitude! I've been going to them for the last 10 years. There has never been a problem with the cleaning as such. Minor issues here and there. The last time I left my husband's chinos and told them that we don't want it creased. They accidentally creased it, took it back and asked them to redo it. When I picked it after they had "redone" it, I found that the crease was still there and they just folded it the other way. Took it back and the owner was SUPER RUDE. He kept telling me that I'm lying and that the pant was already creased and it's not possible that they could've made a mistake. I was appalled by the attitude. So much for old customers! Mistakes happen, I would've been okay if he told me that crease won't go away,but to tell me that I'm lying... that just did it for me. They've lost an old customer. Will never go back! read more

Do not come to this place for wedding dress dry cleaning. They told me it's $100 for dry cleaning the wedding dress when I came in to drop off the dress . But two days later they called me saying I have to pay $49 extra because the dress looks expensive and delicate. I was okay with the price change as long as the dress can be cleaned properly. But it wasn't, it doesn't look like it has been cleaned at all, especially the bottom part of the dress still looks the same. Very disappointed, complete waste of money and time. read more

The prices here are good. I've never felt like I've been overcharged for anything here. I take my shirts and suits here with the occasional casual shirt that I'd rather not wash. The people here are really nice and the turn-around time is reasonable. They're not open on Sundays in case that's important to you in a dry cleaners. Unfortunately, I attempted to give this place a couple of chances to redeem themselves; however, the owner just didn't seem interested in keeping their faithful clients. First, my colorful skirt was highly faded from the dry cleaning. Second, buttons were off my mom's blouses. When I approached the owner about the buttons, he stated that he didn't have them and walked away. I'm sorry but that's not how you take care of a customer.
