I don't usually leave reviews, but I was seriously disappointed by their apparent lack of ethics recently. They twice upsold the service and price without advising me in advance. If it had happened just once, I would have considered it just a mishap; but it happened twice. 1. I left shirts with them to launder. When I went to pick them up the price was about doubled. They explained that there were stains that required dry cleaning, so they charged me for dry cleaning with no advance notice. I showed them a copy of their original estimate, and they honored it in the end. 2. I left several shirts again for laundering. They noted one shirt had a stain and marked it for special treatment (as most cleaners do, at no extra charge). Later when I notice the total estimate was about 50% higher than usual I went back to inquire further. They told me that there was an added charge for stains, and, most surprisingly, they said all of my shirts had stains and were charging more for all of them. I wasn't as concerned about the cost, as I was with what appeared to be an unethical practice of up-selling the price in both occasions without advising me. I will not do business with them in the future. read more

Anna and her family run this "in house" business and do it incredibly well. They are always friendly, always professional, and the clothes come out beautifully - every time. Most dry cleaners now ship their clothes out and don't have the flexibility or personal service that Orchid does. I moved out of the immediate area and continue to bring my clothes to Orchid - not only because they are conscientious and do good work - but also because I want to support family owned, small businesses. I am a new customer to Orchid Cleaners. First I went in and looks very professional. I went to the counter and saw a woman very kind and great service . I handed 3 sweater, 4 laundry shirts and one dress for alterations . I asked if they can do it by tomorrow and they said yes. The price was pretty good. The next day I went back, i picked the clothes up and went home and took a look. They did so good on the clothes and for my sweater they took out all dusts and stuff. For my brother's laundry shirts they were well shaped with great press. It was not wrinkled at all. No specific smells my dress fits out so great it was long at first and after the alterations, it fits so well!! I recommend this cleaners for sure I will go to this cleaners again. read more

I bought a brand new dress (never worn) for my baby shower and it came in a plastic bag in the mail so was wrinkled. My mom offered to take it to the cleaners to be steamed. When she picked it up there were multiple brown/red marks on different parts of the light pink dress. She brought it back in to see if they could do anything and the man at the front accused her of bringing in a blood stained dress. If the dress is blood stained, it's their blood as IT WAS NEVER WORN. They kind of got the stains out but there are more. This is absolutely disgusting and not worth the hassle. My husband used Orchid Cleaners originally because his office used to be located nearby. He continues to use it because he really likes them. Last week he needed to do a pickup and a drop off. It was just before 5, and I called to find out what time they closed, hoping it was 6. Although it was supposed to close at 5, I was told they would wait for us anyway. We have used Anna at Orchid cleaners for 13 out of the last 14 years, which was when we moved to Northern CA. Originally, we lived in Campbell which was only a few blocks away from their shop. We moved to Morgan Hill 9 years ago and still continue to use there service, even with the distance issue. You WILL NOT find a better dry cleaner! Anna is one of the sweetest people we know and she has always taken great care of us. The quality of their dry cleaning and laundry service is superior but it is the wonderful customer service and Anna's great smile that keeps us coming back all the way from Morgan Hill! read more

I started to use Orchid a few months ago. They're friendly enough, and the cleaning is competent. The real problem is the fact that I can't get my cleaning when I need to get it. First off, they're not open on Sundays - I work in an office monday through friday, so that creates challenges right out the gate. But worse - two times I've gone to pick up my cleaning during hours when they were supposed to be open only to find them closed. And most recently, I dropped off some shirts the week of Thanksgiving. I specifically asked whether they'd be open the Saturday after Thanksgiving and they said yes. And they were closed. So I had to do five days of travel missing most of my shirts. And when I finally picked up my shirts almost two weeks after I dropped them off, the staff at the counter didn't take accountability. Going to take my business elsewhere. read more

A friend of mine recommended this place because they do the cleaning in house. I didn't know that was a thing, but tried them anyway. I have a large chair and ottoman that are slipcovered with a very heavy cotton cover. It's light blue and my 60 lb. black dog gets all snuggled in there when I can't see him doing it. The thing was pretty dirty. I tried to wash it myself (no dryer, of course), but it just didn't work. I took the pieces to Orchid and a week later I had what looked like a brand new slip cover. My family and i have used Orchid Cleaners for at least 2X month for the past 5 years. They do a beautiful job with the cleaning and pay attention to detail. They will sew a loose button or tiny tear without being asked. When your garment is cleaned ,it is folded over a hanger with tissue to relieve wrinkles when hanging in your closet or traveling. I find Anna and her employees to be very polite and even help me carry my clothing to the car. They always have a 25% coupon in the monthly mailers and online.
