When I was contacted to come in to have them fix the poor nail job and damage to my cuticles, they only changed the polish. I asked if I could have a paraffin wax treatment for my sore fingers, and they told me they would have to charge me extra for that since they already redid my nails for free, even though they were fixing the poor job they previously did which was improperly curing the gel polish so that it peeled off immediately. They did apply gel builder to my nails, but that was due to them over filing the polish off and making my nails paper thin and breaking off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was told they promised to fix the problem via messages on yelp if I updated my negative feedback review.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But my main issue was the pain and bleeding of my cuticles which didn't heal for several weeks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked if they had any cuticle oil I could take home to treat them, they refused and told me to go buy aquaphor and use that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So they didn't actually address my main concern which was my bleeding damaged cuticles, and only changed the paint.

I got my Gel-X nails done here on Tuesday evening, and it's only been 4 days... they already look awful. The edges are rough and uneven, and the shape is so wide they literally look like dinosaur nails. I honestly don't think the technician has proper Gel-X skills. The only reason I came here was because they were open late and my regular nail tech was closed -- and I regret it. I told her I needed my nails to look perfect for a photoshoot today, but instead of feeling confident and excited, I'm embarrassed by how they look. Such a letdown. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else for Gel-X nails. Trust

For a $90 service I'm not flattered. Should have only charged me $60. See the inspiration, what I was given and a 10 day look at how they held up. Gems fell off after 4 days of normal hand washing. Acrylic was not properly placed on nail bed creating clearly seen lifts and acrylic chipping/bulky grow out. 3D gel was not set proper so bubbles were left which attracts all dirt etc to get trapped and they do not come out.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quite frankly I was told to come in and was holding up an already scheduled customer leaving my nails to be rushed as the other customer hovered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not a good feeling already. The nails did not fulfill the 1 month retention I was expecting let alone they didn't make it past day 10. Day 1 was fun and all but now I have dusty looking nails with no gems and busted looking grow out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dont get me wrong they were really sweet and the place is very nice looking but I'd rather pay for good quality service not the look of the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]...

Been coming here the few months and it's quality every time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]No need to make an appointments for last minute. They will stay up late to accommodate you especially if you get off of work at 5pm or need your nails done at the last minute for a party or just last minute upkeep.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone here is a pleasure to talk to especially waxing with Katie or recommendation if you don't know what you want especially with nail designs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Will is excellent as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff here work together so you may have someone working on your pedi and another one working on your mani. The place is clean and the chairs are new. If you need pampering or just relaxing from the chaos of everyday life to pause and get your nails at top shape. I will definitely recommend this place.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I walked in with no appointment and met Katie and Tiffany. Wow. They treated me with such respect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They took such excellent care of me. I was blown away. I've just spent the last two weeks moving and my nails and toes were an absolute hot mess! When I left, I felt so good and renewed. Katie took care of my nails and a way that nobody ever has. She really took her time to make sure I was happy. My nails were really damaged from another salon and Katie really knew what she was doing to take care of them. When I left, they looked amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can tell that both kitty and Tiffany enjoy what they do.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely recommend the salon I left very happy and satisfied. I'll definitely be back.

This was my first time trying this nail salon, mainly because it was conveniently close to my school. Unfortunately, this was the most painful and uncomfortable manicure I have ever experienced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was serviced by the only male technician there; he never gave his name.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] From the start, he was squeezing and gripping my fingers far too hard. I was fidgeting in my seat the entire time because of the pain, and I even jumped twice. I have never had a manicure where the cuticles were drilled away, normally they are trimmed with nippers, like the kind woman who did my pedicure used. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He hurt my cuticles repeatedly, and not once did he apologize for drilling into my cuticles and skin.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At one point, he was so rough with the drill that he actually drilled my finger pad. After doing that, he looked at me and asked if he was hurting me. What do you think? [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told him clearly that he was hurting my fingers and gripping them too tightly. He said "OK" and loosened his grip for maybe 30 seconds, then went right back to squeezing my fingers tightly again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm sure my discomfort was captured on their cameras. When it came time to shape the nails before painting, he kept filing my skin around the nails. It was painful, and I kept pulling my hand back. This happened three separate times with the nail file. The third time, I pulled my hand away because he continued filing my skin, and it was burning and hurting. He then asked me if I was scared. I responded, "No, I told you that you were hurting my finger." I will provide a picture of the gash. it was bleeding after I left.I genuinely wanted to leave before he even applied the French tip because I was that uncomfortable and in that much pain, and he clearly didn't care. However, I was afraid of how they might react if I left with unfinished nails without paying, so I stayed, sat there, and just prayed for it to be over. I am extremely displeased with the final result. The nails are absolutely sloppy. He applied the nail too far down over my cuticles and skin using monomer (see pictures). Every single nail has air bubbles in it, which I have never experienced before (see pictures). Some of the bubbles are harder to see, but I was able to capture several on camera. The undertone of the nails is also far too pink, making them look pink and green at the same time.[[HIGHLIGHT]]I initially wanted square-shaped nails and told him I wanted them short, really short. He told me it would be easier for him to do a narrow nail if I wanted them that short, so I agreed to a pointy shape.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once we reached the length I wanted, he then said, "Oh, these are really short. We should just do square."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In all the manicures I've ever had, I have never been told that square nails can't be done at a short length. That comment made absolutely no sense. To make things worse, after applying the final top coat and curing the nails in the UV light, he went back in with the nail file again, which ruined the paint entirely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wanted to tip the woman who did my pedicure because she was kind and gentle, but I didn't know how he would react if I tipped her and not him.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Because of that, I ended up leaving without tipping at all, which was embarrassing in itself. for my manicure alone it was $70 which the quality of them is not worth. Overall, this experience was painful, uncomfortable, and unacceptable.

I stopped by today as a walk in, asked for price on color change only. I was told $25. My nail tech station 5 was a sweet heart but charged me for $35. According to her she did a manicure. why!? you were told color change only. the manicure she did was a half assed

Obsessed is an understatement for these nails. I've never left a nail salon so happy! I shared my experience with an old salon and that I've been growing my nails out to get rid of my little rings of fire I had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Katie suggested gelx as I was about to give into acrylics again after a full years break.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The gelx set I got is probably my favorite set ever. Beautiful work!!! Will also did my pedicure and his effort and notice to detail was excellent. I got their deluxe pedicure and his 5 minute massage was such a treat! So impressed by this location I will absolutely be back and plan on making this my new spot. So happy to end my year with a beautiful gelx set and a lovely pedicure. Thank you!!!

OMGGGG LINDA IS THE BEST!!! I walked in to this nail salon while last minute shopping and they were very accommodating. My nail tech LINDA was very patient and did a wonderful job. She took her time and was very detailed, other nails techs tend to rush you which I find annoying. My nails are still intact as of today which I truly appreciate when I spent money at a nail salon. I have been with Katie for over 3 years. She is simply the best! She has moved to this new location, and I would follow her anywhere. Her attention to detail is amazing, she loves to be creative and she can literally do it all. This new location is bright and inviting. The chairs are super comfortable. I've had great pedicures here too, they offer so many different options. Parking is plentiful too. This should be your next go to nail salon. read more

Quality. First impressions are everything. The customer service was 8.5 out of 10. Extremely friendly and everyone was professional and accommodating. The nail tech that performed my services seemed to had been a bit inexperienced. Another tech came and took over. My nails were polished and shape poorly. The third technician was great. However I spent almost 3 hours in the salon. I did not get a design and I had I short almond acrylic set. I would not recommend read more

Amazing and quick! I reached out for a pedicure appointment and the booking process was quick and easy. Once I arrived, everyone was so nice and friendly, and the salon was very clean. The pedicure chairs were incredibly comfortable and I was able to relax. The person that took care of me was Vincent and he did an amazing job with my pedicure, even fixing my two big toes with acrylic. Y'all I found the best nail salon! I've moved around so much, but you only get results like this when you go to a solo artist...women know what I'm talking about, usually these chain places make sure you're in and out in record time so they can get to the next customer. Not here!! Lin took her time with my nails to make sure the shape was absolutely perfect, and no this isn't the first time I've been here, and no she didn't do it special for the review, this is what she does every time! Tina made me feel so relaxed when she did my pedicure! And nothing can be said for how happy these amazing ladies are! This was my first time going to this salon. I went in for a fill and color change! When I left I was not super happy with the way they came out. When I called, they were super accommodating and asked me to come in to get them fixed. I came back in and met with don. He is an amazing nail tech! He took great detail into my nails making sure they were what I wanted the whole way through. There were lots of laughs and I felt happy to be there. First time here don't usually go here but needed to soak off my nails and get a manicure charged me 45$ just to do that I asked for my cuticles to be cut and 3 days later my cuticles are peeling. Visited the new salon today and had a wonderful experience. Lux Nails is under new ownership with updated gorgeous salon chairs, decor, and a great aesthetic. The new owner is so sweet and offered cookies/drinks while Don (my nail tech) worked on my nails with so much patience, attention to detail, and cleanliness. He was so nice and did an amazing job! My mom suffers with ingrown toenails and they were able to relieve her pain without hurting her and were sanitary while doing so. Would definitely recommend! read more

Finally getting a much needed mani and pedi for the first time in years. Clean salon, friendly and great service BUT the tech who did my mani cut me several times on my middle finger and pinky finger. The lady apologized and put some alcohol on it which stung like a mf. I've been cut before at other nail salons and its not out of the usual but this was the first time being cut over and over again on the same finger it was okay when I left but after I got home it started to hurt. I just hope it doesn't get infected. The tech also did not know how to do this design even though I showed her this right when I sat down. She attempted this design a couple of time and I just told her to forget it I don't want it anymore so she ask the another person who I assume was the owner for assistance. Not saying I won't come back but I definitely will ask for a different tech. I'm kicking myself because I forgot her name. read more

I went there today and Amy that did my nails and William is at the front desk. They both are amazing. !!!I would highly recommend this nail salon. I've been to many but none like this for the owner to put a happy birthday song on for one of their clients I thought was pretty nice !! you will not be disappointed. They guarantee their work and if there's something you don't like they will definitely redo it and start over. Definitely going back. Thank you Amy for doing my nails. read more

The vibe is off, I don't like the way certain people here treat me every time I come. I didn't get what I requested, they completely fumbled on both my mani and pedi. I went in today for a pedicure. I was able to schedule a same day appointment. The salon itself is very nice, clean and modern. They have soft instrumental music playing, very relaxing. They have 10 pedicure massaging chair stations. Tina did a great job painting my toes. They have different types of pedicures you can choose from. This is a great nail salon. Technicians were super attentive to my 10 year old daughter and I. We both received gel mani and regular pedi. The salon is beautiful, new and clean. Music was really nice. Piano versions of popular songs made for a relaxing child friendly environment. My only one issue is the gel polish did not stay on long. After 10 days both my daughters and I polish had started to chip and peel. I highly recommend this salon for service. Perhaps they need to apply a better base for gel polish. Thank you! Reply to shop: thank you. 3-5 days is very short for a gel polish. I use regular "gel" polish with no uv and will not have chips for a week. I will continue to do my nails at home. The customer service was great but the service provided was not at all what I had expected. My coworker and I went in for gel manicures and pedicures and they didn't even last one week. I had to go back twice to get my nails fixed and still ended up leaving unsatisfied. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I was so looking forward to a much needed pedicure but turned out to be the Worst pedicure ever . First off instead of removing my existing gell polish by filing & soaking in acetone ( which takes longer ) they put a gel remover polish which staring burning immediately & when I told her she said "it's faster it's ok" and didn't listen that I wanted it wiped off because it was burning . Then I looked up the bottle of product & it was a $2 strong chemical from temu . Should have left there but I stayed and she proceeded to cut my toe nails but not clean underneath them . So I asked her to clean underneath them and she said she did . After polish and her rubbing lotion on my legs (prob spendt 30 seconds rubbing my feet and the rest was rubbing lotion on my legs ) she said we were done so I asked her for the tool and cleaned all this out from under my toes myself . What's the point of a pedicure if your not going to clean the toes properly and not massage the feet . And I paid for the deluxe by the way $75 later and I'm unhappy . Will probably go elsewhere in a few days to get an actual pedicure read more

Went here with my sister and daughter to try to find a new nail place and we looooved it! Vibe is very welcoming. We got dip and gel manicures. Katie did amazing dip nails it's very natural look. Can't wait to go back and try designs! Like other reviews they do offer water and some snacks which was a bonus. read more

Except they actually don't have the extra long in stock, she was going to just apply the Long tip halfway down my nail bed. I declined and asked for the extra long tips I'm paying for. She then took out "xtra xtra long" and said $85 for these. So completely skipped over extra long and still charged me. Whatever , I agreed because benefit of the doubt. Once the foundation is laid, they ask me what designs I want. I showed them several pictures as inspiration and described what I would like, open to all suggestions and directions. They quoted me an additional $75 on top of the $85, and although I was completely shocked , I figured I was just out of my budget and needed to pick another design. Everything I suggested was $60+ on top of $85. Finally I asked ok what about French tip?! They said $25 extra. Okay, very expensive but I hope they look good. Keep in mind the entire time, only 1 person in the whole salon spoke English and whenever I would ask a question, my tech would yell for the English speaker very annoyed as if I was a problematic customer. I also got a full set gel x pedicure, and needed one nail repaired as it's growing back from falling off. When my tech was removing dead skin from the sides of my nail bed, she snipped my skin and cut me. In total for full set xtra long French tip and French tip gel x pedicure, I paid $190 not including tip. 3 days later, my repaired toe nail came off. Okay, maybe it was just too small of a nail. BUT THEN ON THE 4TH DAY, MY FINGERNAIL BREAKS IN HALF. $190 for basic nails, that break not even a full business week later. So disappointed, will never come back.

The walls were dirty, the baseboards were dusty, they had stuff duct taped on the chairs that were falling apart. The furniture and pillows were mismatched and the hallway to the restroom had a shredded curtain and wasn't well maintained in the back. Bathroom was pretty dirty too. * There were only three technicians working on a Saturday and the overall quality of service reflected that. *They did have AC which felt nice during this hot summer, but other than not much else going for this place. Unfortunately, despite the friendly staff the experience didn't meet our expectations and we won't be returning.

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. And thanks again for the massage therapist recommendation. Rest and recovery, here I come!

If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

Update in response to the business owner's comment: This is a genuine review from a legitimate, repeat customer. I've visited Lux Nails multiple times over the past year or so, and I'm aware of exactly what I experienced during my last visit. I didn't use my full legal name for booking or payment... Many people walk in without a formal appointment record tied to a specific name, and that doesn't make my experience any less real or valid. The issues I described, including the unavailability of a manager when requested and the feeling of being overcharged compared to standard visits and standard rates, happened exactly as I stated. Dismissing it outright because you "could not locate any record" under "this name or description" doesn't erase what occurred. I'm not here to fabricate complaints... I'm sharing my honest experience as someone who has given your business repeat patronage. I reached out to Lux Nails through Yelp needing a last-minute appointment (life with kids and a jam-packed May/June schedule!), and they delivered. Their response was quick and kind, and they made it so easy to get in. I was overdue for both a manicure and pedicure, and from the moment I walked in, I felt taken care of. The salon is beautiful, sparkling clean, and the chairs are state of the art--so comfortable and relaxing. Will did my natural, short French tip manicure and was incredibly professional, gentle, and meticulous. I wish she would've let me know in advance she was running late. I was bothered by the fact that my tech has no sense of urgency, didn't acknowledge me the entire time she was finishing her client. She even walked past me outside with her client to take photos of her nails while already running late af. I really wanted to walk out and get my nails done somewhere else but my card was on file and I was afraid I'd be marked as a no show even though I was on time. I finally get sat down, I expressed that I was upset but she didn't seem to care or know how to react at all. The owner, Wendy was super nice and still trying to make my experience a good one. I appreciated that. I even apologized because I felt like I came off so rude, but can you blame me? The rest of the appointment went fine, we talked a bit and she did pretty much what I asked for but now that I'm home I really feel like I was ripped off. If my birthday wasn't the next day, I would've tried to find somewhere else to go.. I spent like $165 on a pedicure and gel x set with designs. Please see the designs in my photo. I did compliment my nails, I did tell her that I'd really liked them because the French she did on my toes was good! but when I got home and actually examined the work on my hands up close, the chrome isn't even that well done. The designs she drew on were sloppy! I posted my nails in a nail fb group for an opinion on my nails and experience and everyone told me it was 100% not worth what I paid. They said the execution was bad and she was unprofessional, which I agree. They were even surprised she didn't give any type of courtesy discount considering how late she was. $3 off my callus removal is not sufficient lol. They have a 15 minute grace period for late clients, they should really have something in place for when their techs are 40+ mins late. I honestly wouldn't come back. Way way overpriced.

Besides the usual manicure and pedicures, they also do waxing and lashes as well. I do love coming here to get my brows waxed. Previously I went to another salon that messed up and waxed my brows and ended up making one of my brows have a missing hair line split in the middle of my brows. Angela was able to wax my brows in a way that made the hair grow back so now it's no longer missing! Also, I have ingrown skin around my big toe. The two ladies that worked on me (I forgot their names, sorry!) were very sweet and worked quickly yet effectively too. The cost of everything wasn't too bad either, I was expecting to pay $190 but was surprised when it only came out to $110! The woman doing my nails took 90 min just to shape them and another 30 minutes to paint, I asked for square and short. After 2 hours at charge out she wrote down $80 and I was asking how she got to that number. She said $35 for nails, extra $15 for gel and extra charge for coffin. I've had coffin nails before that is not what I asked for and you can see in the picture these are 100% not coffin nails. Disappointed because I was told over the phone a certain set of prices and felt like I was being up charge for things I didn't ask for. The man that did my pedicure was sweet and did a good job. I won't be returning
