I was under the clear impression that an appointment was successfully made for that date. Today, Saturday, August 1, 2026, anticipating my scheduled service, I attempted to confirm my appointment by calling the salon multiple times throughout the morning. To my surprise and frustration, I eventually received a call back from a male staff member. He abruptly informed me that no appointment was on file under my name. When I tried to explain the booking I had made the previous week, he became dismissive and offered no assistance in investigating the apparent discrepancy. He simply reiterated that Mrs. Lisa was booked and that the salon would be unable to accommodate me. This interaction was incredibly unhelpful and frankly, quite rude. The staff member made no effort to understand what might have gone wrong with the booking system or to offer any form of resolution or alternative. The lack of accountability and the dismissive attitude displayed were entirely unprofessional. Today was different, I noticed they now have a tablet for checking in. Instantly, I completed the prompts and added the service I wanted and sat down. There were two employees that saw me come in yet did not speak to me. I continued to wait. Then two customers came in where they were greeted. After confirming the two ladies that came in after me were about to get serviced I get up and speak to someone, basically letting them know that I checked in, haven't been spoken to and was here for a gel pedicure. Not even 20 minutes later, after moving to the next station, the owner came back again, hovered over me while inspecting my nails, and started yelling that they were "too long" and that the price would now be $165. I was honestly shocked and confused because we had already discussed everything multiple times. It felt like she was intentionally creating problems and trying to pressure me into paying more money. What upset me most was the way she spoke to me. She was yelling at me in front of everyone as if I were a child, even though I had been respectful the entire time. At that point, I told the nail tech to stop because I no longer felt comfortable or respected there. No customer deserves to be treated that way. To make matters worse, I still ended up losing money even though my nails were never completed or painted. Only my toes were done. I will absolutely never return. Another major concern was sanitation. I noticed that they were not properly sanitizing or using new tools between customers. Instead, I saw tools simply being rinsed with soap and water before being reused. Unfortunately, I did not realize this until it was already too late. That is completely unacceptable for a nail salon and honestly made me even more uncomfortable about the entire experience. I also couldn't ignore the difference in how customers of color were treated. I am mixed Black and Hispanic, and I immediately noticed the shift in attitude when I walked in. I also witnessed another African American woman being treated poorly. That alone should have been my sign to leave. It was uncomfortable and disappointing. If you are a person of color, especially Black women, I genuinely recommend spending your money elsewhere. However, first off- ya know when the saline has racks and rows of polish on the wall? And how sometimes when your polish is very old it starts to separate? Yeah. Lots of that along the walls. I chose a very neutral color that seemed to be fairly new. The tech definitely seemed to be tired and distracted. She did not spend much time exfoliating my feet- there are still some dry spots for sure, and she seemed distracted. She used her packets of exfoliant and lotion and seemed be rather sparing with them-like 1/8 of a packet. Let's say that my legs have some surface area, so it didn't really seem like enough. Also- anyone else have flashbacks to Legally Blonde when your nail tech starts shouting Vietnamese when you sit in the chair? Just me?! Day 2 and my toes look good- no smudges. Still on the hunt for a favorite spot, but I would come here again in a pinch.
