Liked that my haircut was so cool. I got the Korean bob on the inside and a thinned out haircut for the outside hair cuz my hair tends to be coarse and thick. Now my hair is light and easy to style/wash. I showed Amy the video of the haircut. And she was able to make it happen, checking in with me frequently to make sure the shortness was where I wanted! I really like it! I decided to come to Luxe because my sister came home with a hair cut. She used to be sad whenever she got a hair cut, because she doesn't like when hairstylists cut her hair shorter than she'd like. I went there for a hair cut! Generally it was not bad. She was kind and good. Only thing is she couldn't speak English and it made it though for me to say what hair style I want. The only place at which I'll ever get my hair done! I've been going to Luxe Beauty Studio since 2021 and they have never disappointed :) I always leave astonished at how soft, bouncy, and vibrant my hair is. Prices are very reasonable and all of the stylists are very friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough! I usually see Amy for color and highlights, and Amy, per my previous review, is amazing. Because Amy recently had her second child and was out of the salon for a bit, I decided to book a cut with Mai, having previously liked the way she cut other clients' hair. I'm soooo happy with the way my cut turned out. I've always been a color girl and never really cared too much about the way my hair is cut; like, as long as my hair is vaguely neat and hadn't all been chopped off, I'm fine with it. But now that I've seen Mai, I really can't go anywhere else for cut. She brings my Pinterest inspo photos to life. I asked for layers and curtain bangs and my hair is stinking cute!! I'm obsessed!!! Cut and style was $46! Took about an hour but we were chatting the whole time. From now on, I'll be seeing Mai for cuts and cut maintenance, and Amy color. So how much does a haircut really cost? I was in need of a post partum haircut and my friend discovered this place 1.5 months ago. We have similar hair type and she was also in need of a fresh cut post partum and she said they were fast. She told me her haircut was $35. I made an appointment and showed up 5 min early... everyone was busy and no one got around to me till 15-20 min later. I get it everyone else was getting their hair colored. I finally get seated and do a basic cut, mostly trim and I feel like i kept getting upsold. They really wanted me to dye my hair and do a softener treatment and wax stuff. I hadnt planned to be out long so opted out. After my haircut and eyebrow wax I paid. After leaving I did the math and my haircut was $50. Which is understandable for a salon but for the cut i got and my friend's experience, I was not expecting it to cost that much. I believe all the great reviews are for the coloring which I cant speak on... but as for the haircut it would've been the same as if I went to any of the other cheaper walk in salons. read more

I've come here twice since moving to the area. I picked them because of the good reviews and decent pricing. Both times I came, all I wanted was a trim and to layer my hair a bit. My first visit was a week before my wedding and it went well. The woman was friendly, asked about my wedding, and did a good job. The second time I came in was a couple weeks before my honeymoon. It was a different woman this time and she was running late/still working on a client. She seemed surprised by my presence even though someone else working there confirmed I had an appointment. She was very preoccupied during the appointment. She was constantly checking her phone and texting someone. Then she stopped and was gone for quite awhile while tending to the other client that she was finishing up. She ended up cutting much more off my hair than I asked for and she made the layers around my face very short. It was a bit stressful because I wanted to keep the length for my trip so my hair wasn't blowing in my face became the front pieces wouldn't fit into a ponytail. I initially had made my appointment online on Booksy, but Cristi called me and rescheduled my appointment which ended up working out better for me. So if you do book on Booksy just make sure you confirm it, sometimes the apps don't connect with the businesses properly. I was coming in for only highlights, and I ended up getting highlights and a haircut I really enjoyed it, Cristi did an awesome job on my highlights, Cristi gave me great tips in order to keep up the highlights, She also gave me a really good head massage. Came in for Amy and a totally different stylist was assigned to me without even letting me know before or during the service until I asked. She chopped my hair and toned my hair super dark, I came in for a light brown tone not black. I ended up having to come back and still hated my hair. I usually get a hair cut with either Amy, Christy or Mai... not sure exactly which one but it was definitely two of the names above. I scheduled another haircut but this time with Ana bc my usuals were not available and I had to go out of town on short notice. She was very nice but I am so unhappy with my hair cut. I had asked her for one thing and it seems like she gave me curtain bangs (which I wanted) and then trimmed the bottom of my hair. (Instead of adding layers through out. ) When I told her I wanted more layers as the stylists that I mentioned above had given me previously with no problems, she said my hair was too thin to give me more layers. She kept cutting away at my bangs and my ends. I've basically ended up with a hair cut that I'm going to have to put in a bun for awhile. Long review but please read. I honestly wasn't going to leave a review but I definitely need the hair stylists here to learn from their mistakes. I went in for my appointment and they told me to wait 30 minutes, and sure, I understand it can get busy, but then I didn't even get the stylist that I asked for. How is that okay? If the stylist is busy that day/ time, then maybe don't tell your client that appointment works. I went in with salon dyed black hair that was done a year ago which I mentioned to my stylist. I then asked to be dark brown with some dimension. First red flag is that she didn't do any color remover or a test strand to see how my hair would lift with the bleach. Second red flag is that she was working on me AND another client (we were both doing color on our hairs, and we all know these are lengthy sessions that deserve a hair stylist's full attention.) Well I'm not sure if she forgot about me or what and I didn't see her set a timer, but my hair was FALLING out in chunks and like string cheese and felt like hay. She then had to cut off more than I asked because I know the damage was bad. Not once did she acknowledge the damage or apologize. I finish the appointment and my hair was NOTHING like the inspo picture, the highlights were so thick that it looked so streaky and unblended. It looked somewhat okay in the salon, and I tried convincing myself it was okay but I went in the sun and tried taking pictures and honestly felt ugly, which is a feeling no woman should feel after leaving a hair salon. I was traumatized by my hair falling out and I can see my scalp on the back of my head now. I had to go to a second salon to fix the color and do a keratin treatment (which is something the stylist didn't offer either) and spend even MORE money. They initially asked me to come back to fix it, but honestly, why would I even step foot in that salon again? I then called the salon back explaining the situation and they offered to refund me the money ($385.) Now the reason I wasn't going to leave a review is that they offered me a refund, but that simply doesn't make this situation okay and is the bare minimum. I had to call back again and then reach out AGAIN for them to send me the refund back. Not ONCE in that phone call did I hear an apology either. This is not how you treat clients who are paying a lot of money for a service. I had to spend so much money at the second salon, and then I spent over $200 on hair products to fix my damaged hair. I'm insecure about my hair now which is something I never had an insecurity about. My hair continues to fall out when I brush it or shower. These hair stylists need to learn from their mistakes, be honest and have integrity, and ACKNOWLEDGE and APOLOGIZE to clients when mistakes happen. I am never going back here and do not recommend this salon. read more

I'm so grateful I found Luxe Beauty studio, and bonus points that it's walking distance from my apartment. My hair has gone through many, many, bleaching/toning sessions over the last few years and recently it started taking on a green tone - so not ideal. I made an appointment for toning to get it back to its ashy color, and Amy did a fantastic job. The salon is clean, experience was very relaxing, and the color came out beautiful!
