I visited Sparkle Shine Salon for the first time in late January. At that time, Ms. Beth carefully trimmed my locks into a stylish cut by at least 13" as I was badly needing a significant trim since I had not had a cut since before the pandemic (eeks!). During my next visit in mid-March, I finally decided to take the opportunity to color my hair a more unique shade and requested rose gold highlights. Ms. Beth is a color mixologist extraordinaire! She consulted with me regarding how I wanted my shade of rose gold to look, and it came out beautifully! Most recently, when my rose gold started to fade and become a bit brassy, I decided to go more pink with the highlights this time. I tried out Beth's salon for the first time during Covid. I found her very easy to work with and very communicative. I was long overdue for a haircut because I avoided going to salons during quarantine and got my haircut for the first time in a year. I felt very comfortable in her salon, since she was wearing a shield in addition to a mask, took my temperature upon arriving, and sanitized all the equipment and my hands before starting the haircut. The salon consisted of just me and Beth! Beth gave me a dry cut for curly hair and I found her very knowledgeable. This review is for a DevaCut (getting your hair cut dry) by Beth. I found her on DevaCurls website of stylist who've completed their training. Since your hair is cut first and then washed this takes longer than a traditional haircut. Beth booked two hours since it's my first dry cut and to make sure that I understood how to wash, condition and style my hair with the Curly Girl Method. I was impressed with her knowledge and walked away knowing I'm able to do this on my own. Beth is the only Deva certified stylist in Fremont. If you've been wanting to follow the Curly Girl Method I strongly suggest having Beth as your DevaCut stylist. I was so impressed I booked my next appointment before I left. When you go for a DevaCut your hair should be naturally dry with no products on your hair. Without anything on my hair it was very dry looking and wild. The after imagine is from using DevaCurl products and diffusing my hair. No color was applied during this visit but it looks so different. read more
