I have been waiting for over a year for my wedding gown to arrive and I am writing this 1 day before the set date, and I have no dress to speak of. $3,400.00 is what she stole from me. SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND HEARTACHE. RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAM BRIDAL SHOP. I have been waiting a while to write this review.. in hopes that Dina may make things right but as (apparently) usual for her, she has done nothing but lie. Having ruined what would've been a very simple process for me.. she is among one of the worst business owners I have ever known. On day one, when I had my first bridal gown try on. Bridesmaids and mother in law joined me. I went in with a budget of $2,500.00 and she didn't show me a single dress under $3,000.00. That should've been my first red flag but somehow we let her convince us to pay all cash and absolutely no credit immediately for a $1,000.00 discount on a beautiful gown. Leaving with just a silly paper receipt was another mistake I made. There was no guarantee of delivery and when asked for tracking info, I was ignored. After months of no contact around October I decided to contact her. She ignored me until December saying I would get my dress mid month. I explained that this was unacceptable. I needed to alter my dress and I had been asking for months already. Still no tracking info. I finally decided to reach out to the manufacturer and asked about my order. They called me back the following day and explained that THERE WAS NO ORDER FOR MY DRESS EVER SENT TO THEM. This was NOT the first time they were hearing this about the same shop with the same exact issue. They said they were sending me the dress as a courtesy and i was more grateful than words can describe. I still do not have a dress but I am hopeful that it will arrive since the manufacturer has taken over. As for Dina, the owner I have been lied to over and over. She deserves to be shutdown for being a thief. I am not the only person she has scammed and I promise I will not be her last. I'm not even mad that she showed up for the appt in pajamas, late.. but like let that be a sign. Even the experience in the store was awful. Good luck, please be wary and vigilant. February 2024 my daughter put a deposit on a $4000 wedding gown, bought a veil and put a deposit of $395 on a Crystal Hair Comb. It took over a year to finally get her wedding dress which was full of anxiety and worry and was very difficult to get..... It is June 2026 and we still have not received the Crystal hair comb that the owner promised to send within two weeks after we picked up the wedding dress. That was about a year and a half ago. I will continue to write negative reviews and update you on the results of these negative reviews. You would think that she would read these reviews and send my daughter her hair comb two years later. She will take your money and NEVER order the dress and then ask for MORE MONEY to "expedite" shipping. I thought buying my wedding dress was going to a seamless experience. It was an absolutely horrendous experience at lace and luxe. It was close to impossible to get in contact with Dina the owner of the store. She did not answer phone calls, emails, or IG DMs. I almost did not get my dress because of the lack of communication and professionalism. When I inquired about my dress no one was able to tell me if it was shipped or when it would be recieved. When I requested a tracking number it was always miraculously unable to be provided by both the sales associates and Dina. Luckily, I was able to get my dress 2 weeks before my wedding, after legitimately having to call the store on repeat. --I was turned down by several seamstress as it was too much to do within a short period of time. Although I paid a "rush delivery fee" of $ 250.00 which was not rushed at all. For reference, I ordered my dress 8 months in advance. They were all over me when I went in for a gown for my son's wedding and as soon as they got that damn money, they couldn't give a shit about me. I never heard from them ever again until I went into the store and they still had an apathetic attitude when my dress finally came in they put it in a regular thin plastic dry cleaning bag that slipped out as soon as I left the store right onto third Avenue. Dealing with Luxe & Lace was an incredibly frustrating experience. While shopping, I felt pressured by the shop owner to purchase the dress. After deciding against the dress in the middle of the transaction due to pricing and canceling without a purchase, Dina avoided my phone calls and would not refund my money without me requesting it back. After she promised to refund the money in several days, she once again avoided my call. Ultimately, I received my refund after showing up to the shop in person to express my frustration and request my money back. I went to the appointment with several family members and did like the dress, but was hesitant about making a decision on the spot. Dina was was insistent, even after saying multiple times that I like to sleep on my decisions and would prefer to get back to her the next day. After going back and forth, I asked about the cost of the dress and she assured me she would work with my budget and I agreed. As they were putting the sample dress into the bag for me to leave with that day, she priced the dress at the top of my budget. She then told me to avoid credit card fees that I could pay via zelle and venmo, since the full amount could not be processed on just one. As I was pulling up zelle, she said she would look up her account on my phone to process the payment and she submitted half the amount for the transaction as she explained the cost would again be over my budget since she was giving me the price prior to tax. I was feeling uneasy over this interaction and told her I would feel better not purchasing the dress in the moment, canceling the transaction, and that I would get back to her later on with a decision. I left a message indicating that I decided against the dress, but I later realized there was still a $2000 debit to my account from when I canceled the transaction while still in the store. I called and left another message requesting her to call me back with no response. After several more attempts to reach Dina with no answer, I called from a different phone number and promptly got a call back. I told her I had decided against the dress but that I wanted my money back since I did not purchase the dress. She said she would call me back and refund me in a couple days. Several days passed with no refund, and once again she avoided my call. I eventually got my money back, but only after I had to show up to the shop in person to express my frustration over the missing refund. read more

Absolutely beautiful dresses and decent selection, small-personalized attention, and they definitely listen to what you want when they pick out dresses for you. They are open to doing any alterations you want - but it is definitely costly. However, it was worth it for me - my dress got SO many compliments the day of the wedding! I never felt so beautiful in my life. My only regret is buying the cathedral length veil they pushed on me a bit - it ended up flying out of my hair when I first walked outside for my ceremony (which is not their fault) I just never wanted one in the first place, I should have trusted my gut. read more

I've never left a negative review for an establishment- but the negative experience I had here needs to be considered. This boutique carried a dress my sister wanted to try on. When I arrived, the sales lady was extremely pushy, refused to let our family discuss without interrupting, and even kept forcing my sister to proclaim it was the dress even after she said she would like to consider at home. When my sister said she would put a RETURNABLE deposit down for the dress, she asked the woman to input the phone number in her app- and the woman SENT THE MONEY TO HERSELF. When my sister reflected, she called the woman back to get her deposit back, as she was no longer interested. The woman than began to ignore all calls from her, and only answered when calling from another phone. After asking for the deposit back, the woman kept pushing to keep the deposit- even offering to lower the price that she previously was ADAMANT the store could not sell it at. She then said she would return the deposit... which never came. My sister had to turn to the BANK to return her money that was unlawfully being kept from her. I would recommend this business to those who are looking to be lied to, bullied, and stolen from. read more

The long story short is that Dina is unprofessional and does not know how to run a business. I bought my dress in August for my wedding that was taking place the following May. That's NINE months. Dina said my dress would arrive mid March. I called again March 14 and Dina's assistant answered and said my dress was coming in the next week or week and a half. Called back a week and a half later, Dina's assistant again answered and said my dress would come next week. At this point, we are 5 weeks away from my wedding and no dress. I was anxious, stressed, wanted answers as to where my dress was and Dina was nowhere to be found. I called three days in a row asking for her and she was busy each time. Eventually when my dress did get delivered, she had no problem calling me to tell me it was delivered. Only then was she found. Don't waste your time with her. I went to Lux + Lace in February to check out some Swarovski accessories for my wedding. I had another place in mind that is more popular, but I like the vibe that I got from Dina, the shop owner. Besides, I enjoy a more intimate setting as long as I like the quality and options to chose from. This shop has all of those qualities. They carry veils, robes, shoes and I think she will also have dresses soon. She can have custom veils made, just ask how far in advance it needs to be ordered. I ordered the three jewelry pieces in my picture, a pair of earrings, a hair comb (sparkliest I've ever seen!) and this beautiful bracelet. I received my items in about two weeks, way quicker than Dina has estimated. The pieces are pricey but Dina gave me a discount for ordering all three pieces. Although the prices are high (everything for weddings is $$$) but prior to coming here I had ordered a piece from an Etsy that claimed to be authentic Swarovski and the difference was so obvious, these pieces had sparkle that danced in the light. I've been to a few dress shops both in Manhattan and Brooklyn and I've always felt pressured by the salesman but Dina Morra, the owner of Luxe and Lace boutique in Brooklyn put me at full ease and she really listened to what I wanted. I always wanted a fairy tale kind of wedding and thought the ideal, perfect dress for me was ballgown or A line with cascading ruffles so Dina brought a couple of A line dresses but saw something that she thought would look nice on me - and she was SO right!! I never would've picked this sort of dress because I've always liked dresses like ballgowns so to my surprise I loved her choice she picked for me. And guess what?! I instantly fell in love with the dress and envisioned myself walking down the aisle. First off I just want to say that as a bride I'm already anxious and feeling insecure and although I have an idea of what I want it's still part of the experience to be open minded. With that being said this place is Racist. This place came highly recommended and I was excited. For a place to request a credit card hold for a time slot and still rush you, shouldn't be requiring it in the first place. I came from jersey but like I said it was highly recommended, one of my friends said yes to the place here however when I entered they confirmed my appointment and I started to look at some dresses I was only able to try on three before the older lady who was assisting me started to rush me. (Apparently the older woman is the mother to the woman who runs it idk) I know the reservation was for one hour but it was barely 20 minutes and the lady was rushing me out. I even said it was only 1:20pm and she complained that they were booked every hour and I'm like I know my appointment started at 1pm. Overall it was an unpleasant experience and the lady didn't assist me or encourage me to try on anything let alone suggested if I should continue to see anymore dresses. I actually loved two dresses but due to the service I do not trust this place with something important as my wedding dress. It's not worth leaving a credit card information to a place that will not value you. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Also the reason I said they were racist is because there was another bride and she was getting all the right attention and addressing her concerns and even encouraged her to try on more and pulled out dresses for her but they we're practically rushing me out. read more

I found this shop while walking down 3rd avenue one day and have purchased a custom veil, shoes accessories and other one of a kind items for my wedding in a few weeks. The owner of the shop is beyond helpful and accommodating. If she doesn't have something, she will order it, give you one off the shelf, or figure out some way to make you happy. She called the minute my veil was ready and offered to stay late and wait for me to get it. Her bridal accessories are stunning, the hair combs and crowns are unique and the earrings are all beautiful and can be worn for going out, business functions or other events.
