We have used Luxor numerous times while visiting New York and have been pleased with the service. Unfortunately, I am contacting you to share our extreme disappointment with our experience this visit. When did Luxor discontinue providing service to the front door? We scheduled Luxor for three events. Service from our hotel, the Park Lane to a wedding at the Lighthouse, Chelsea Piers. When the driver arrived, he had to make room in the front seat-he had an order for two passengers and it should have been for four. I had to ride in the front seat, not exactly what I envisioned when paying for car service. It was raining, we were in Formal attire, my wife and daughter in heels and the driver dropped us off curbside at Westside Highway and said it's over there. We walked and walked, not familiar with the venue or where the Lighthouse was-no cover, no umbrella and again dressed in Formal attire, we finally arrived. As we walked it became evident their is a COVERED parking structure and the driver should have taken us to the front door of the Lighthouse, which is under a porte cochere. Our next experience was to the River Cafe in Brooklyn. This is a fine dining restaurant, we were dressed accordingly. Once again, we were not taken to the front door of the restaurant. Apparently the driver missed the driveway, so we were left at the curb to walk on a cobblestone path from the main street to the restaurant. My wife was in heels, making it difficult and dangerous to walk on the cobblestone, not to mention a bit embarrassing to arrive walking and not in our car service for the doorman to greet us. Hopefully this feedback will assist you in making the necessary changes and ensuring your drivers are educated on the service levels expected from paying customers. I needed to get to rural CT from EWR on Christmas Eve and the airport was sold out of all rental cars. I found Luxor Limo and after reading so many positive reviews, I visited their website. The site gave access to a live chat and all my questions regarding rates and policies were answered quickly and thoroughly. I booked a one-way transfer (the process was quick & easy on the site). When I boarded the plane, the pilot announced the wind was in our favor and we were expected to arrive :30 minutes early. I was able to text Luxor right from the plane and adjust my reservation. When the flight landed, they were right on top of things. I received a notification that the driver was on site (with a name, description, license plate, and phone number) early--before I even deplaned! Although I chose curbside pickup, the process was super easy. Nader was absolutely excellent--the epitome of a professional. His hospitality was unmatched, and he was courteous, funny, and friendly. The vehicle was immaculate, comfortable, well-stocked and appointed, and Nader took care to make sure that he chose the quickest route and circumvented traffic as much as possible. When we arrived, he shook my parents' hands and offered holiday wishes. I have the highest opinion of Luxor Limo. My 1st experience was stellar. I will definitely book with them again. I was terrified when it came time to choosing the vendor for my wedding day transportation . After hearing transportation horror stories, this was the one vendor where I really did an extensive search before making a final decision. Luxor Limo's were very professional from the beginning - answering any questions I had along the way, which is was what really drew me towards them. The morning of the wedding, I knew I made the right decision. I had received a text saying that the limo was outside my fiancé's apartment. I called him to let him know and he said that they had been there for about an hour waiting for the pickup time that I had requested. I was amazed! The second transportation bus was there at the Church waiting for us as I requested. Even the next day we requested transportation pick-up and the 36 passenger bus arrived an hour before scheduled to make sure they were there on time! The only thing that was a con for us was their GPS system. It was accurate and got us to our destinations, but it took us out of the way going to our destination and coming back home the next day. I would suggest updating the GPS system because it definitely made the trip much longer than it should have taken. Their drivers were extremely nice and accommodating. Overall amazing experience! I looked at many different companies when reserving private transportation. This was our first trip to NY and wanted to do it with style! Due to a flight problem, I actually had to call Luxor in the morning and let them know we would have to push back the airport pickup from Newark by over 3 hours. It was no problem and no charge. They emailed me a confirmation of the new pickup time. Then, after we landed, I got a text message alerting me that my driver was there and waiting. I then got a call from the driver just to make sure we knew what baggage claim we were going to and we met him there (I selected the meet and greet option). He offered to go pickup the car and meet us outside so we didn't have to walk anywhere and we accepted. The driver's name was Can and he was great. He was very cordial and easy going in his conversation. Despite the craziness that is NY city driving, he maneuvered us perfectly and smoothly. He was a great driver and we enjoyed the conversation. The car was very spacious (we selected the Lincoln MKT) and comfortable. There were water and mints in the car waiting for us and the drive was exactly what I was looking for. We booked a reservation back to the airport with Luxor and was glad I selected them. If needed again, I would not hesitate to use Luxor and their prices were one of the best I found. read more

A Family of six in New York for the first time with excess luggage and using Luxor Limo made it perfect! We used them three times during our 10 day trip. The first pickup was at LGA, received a text with name of driver and plate number, called and they were there ready to pick us up on time. Nice clean vehicle with drinks ready and my family was enjoying their ride into New York taking in the views on our way to Crowne Plaza Times Square. The second pickup was to take us from Crown Plaza Times Square to NCL port. As we walked out of the hotel they were there on time ready to pick us. Nice they were using a sign in the window with our name on it so we knew the van was for us. Our driver made a safe trip to the port making sure we were dropped off just where we needed to be with no extra walking dragging all that luggage. The third pickup was for NCL port and it went very smooth as it was scheduled for 9:15 am and our driver was there at 9:16 am (no place for him to park and he had to drive around). Again there was a text with drivers name, plate number plus a sign in the window with our name. The driver dropped us off at LGA right at a curb side check in for American which helped us to not carry all our luggage anywhere at all. My wife Terry and I flew up New York City on July 16 2014 for a James Taylor concert at Jones Beach. Our Plane we delayed over 2 hours so I e-mail Luxor from the plane and they said no problem that they would be watching the flight and would be there waiting. We landed at La Guardia our driver (Jeff) was my first call off the plane he was there and waiting. It was a brand new Lincoln MKS (very nice) Jeff jumped out and loaded the baggage and had both door open in seconds got use to our hotel in record time during rush hour. The story doesn't stop there we had a personal meet and greet with James Taylor that night at the concert and it was about an hour and half ride to the concert so we had reserved a 6 passenger stretch limo. "Well its New York City" a beautiful white limo was waiting on us with our names on it what a great feeling. The Limo was stocked with ice, water and soft drinks and had wonderful custom LED lighting interior we had the car about 8 hours and the price was great. We have also used there sedan service the whole time we where in town, ever driver was on time friendly and helpful. I booked a surprise dinner at the River Cafe for my partner and I (I was going to propose!). I wanted a car to take us there in style and chose Luxor's Mercedes S550, they emailed me with the license plate and our drivers name when he was on route to collect us, they also replied instantly to my email with a request on a slight pickup location change. When we stepped out of the hotel our driver was waiting for us...bang on time...and we then got into the car, immaculate inside and free bottled water waiting. The journey was about 1.25 hours in the end due to traffic (Times Sq to Brooklyn) but it hardly felt like it being in such a luxury interior! I had looked at so many limo company's prior to booking with Luxor but they all had complicated pricing structures or hard to navigate websites, Luxor's site was clean, easy to use and seamless. Without doubt we were both hugely impressed with Luxor's service from beginning to end and I would not hesitate booking them again when we are in New York (We are from near London, UK). Our driver even apologised for the delay when we arrived at our destination, even though it was completely unavoidable due to the NYC mad rush of traffic on a Monday evening!! I booked luxor limo for my son's high school prom on June. 5th, 2015. I booked the day before the event and shockingly the vehicle I was interested in was available. However, if you book online and you don't have a desktop computer you have to take photos of your identification card and credit card and upload pics to the companies email address. That was extremely annoying. The reason being is because the company wants you to sign a authorization form to release funds from your credit card company. The chauffeurs name was John, he arrived on time and was extremely professional and kind. However, the vehicle was dirty, had no shine, and pictures could not be taken from a certain angle because it would be very visible. Also, the company charged me a minimum 3 hour fee because the event was a prom. If you charge a customer $330.46 for a one way transfer the vehicle should have been spotless, the shine from the vehicle should have blinded us. Everyone that came to take pics and show support noticed the vehicle was filthy. It did rain earlier that day but the SUV should have been wiped down before arrival. Because the customer service was so phenomenal and John was GREAT I think I may use luxor limo service again. read more

I can not recommend this company enough. The booking process was so easy and the communication from them was quick and helpful. I was worried what would happen if our flight was late but they reassured me that they track the flights. When we left the terminal I got a text message to say the driver was around the corner, he arrived in 2 minutes and helped us with the luggage. This man was lovely, he chatted to us and pointed out landmarks on the way. We had champagne on our booking and it seemed to have been lost in the communication but he stopped at a liquor store, bought champagne and poured it for us! At the hotel he parked right st the door and again unloaded our bags. On the way home the driver was also lovely just quieter, still professional and helpful though. Real value for money and if you can afford to you should. By the time you count your taxi fares this was far better value for the personal service and the experience. Will use these guys again when we return and have recommended to family members who are planning just now. Very good experience. My first time using Luxor Limo, or a limo service at all. I started by asking many questions on their website. They have a helpful pop-up that lets you ask questions in real time. I also spoke to them on phone. They were easy to communicate with and readily accessible, and when it came to booking, I received an email of the whole transaction. I didn't find this to be the case with other limo places. And with the other limo services I'd called, it felt like I was communicating with a third world country and struggled to understand what they were even saying. There was a tiny bit of confusion when they picked me up, as the area had lots of construction and very few places for the limos to pull into, but I don't think that was Luxor's fault. I called them and they located the driver, who called me immediately. The driver was the best and a welcome surprise. Professional, polite and very smart. We had a great philosophical discussion. I arrived at my interview happy, non-plussed and ready. (I can't say the same for the taxis I've taken in the past. Talk about stress!) I will definitely recommend Luxor to my friends. read more

I am a first-time visitor to NYC and went with two girlfriends. We used Luxor Limo for our 4-day trip. Luxor helped me with planning and even though I bugged them to death with questions, they were always helpful and patient with me. Worked with me on pricing too, since I had a certain budget. We got picked up at Laguardia (on time) and we were on our way!! We had a long list of things to do and I would say that we ended up doing 98% of them!! We were astonished. They arrived at our hotel prior to pickup time . . . we had the same driver for three of the days (Shahzada) and he was just awesome. He knew the city in and out and had no problems finding anything. He did anything we wanted to do and was so accommodating. I needed a scooter and he had no problem dealing with that either. I would use the company again if I ever go to NYC. The only thing I didn't care for was that they bill each day separately instead of one billing . . . that lead to credit card thinking fraud and slowing down their payments then having to stop and handle that issue with them. Alexis took the call when I called back to actually make the reservation. She, too was Awesome. Eli, our driver, showed up 20 minutes early, called us to let us know he was waiting outside and there was no need to rush ( He didn't start the clock until we came down;-0)...He was dressed professionally, (Exactly what I wanted) He was driving a 2015 Lincoln MKT. The car was spotless, mints and water were inside the car. He opened the doors and went above and beyond the call of duty to make certain we had a pleasant experience. For 3 hrs. the total bill was apprx. 227.00. It was well worth it. He narrated as we drove along. It was a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. I strongly recommend Luxor Limo in New York. To be honest I was a little bit unsure whether my booking of luxor limousines for my airport transfers and private city round trip was a good decision or not. The main reason for my negative attitude has been based to the fact that the Luxor website didn't working well, that the call center agent wasn't really friendly and first of all the negative ranking at Yelp. But Luxor Limousins has positiv surprised me from the first beginning. To the airport arrival date the car (SUV Escalade) was on site right in time. Ok, the car has seen better times in the past, but it was clean and comfortable. But my best experience ever was the 3 hours private city round trip with the chrysler stretch limousine. The car was amazing and the driver (Dimitri) was well informed about the city. Whenever we've had the wish to stop the car, Dimitri has found allways nice parking places - even it was not allowed to stop the car...:-) Many thanks once more to Dimitri for this beautiful and funny trip. We used Luxor again to get us back from hotel in midtown to LGA. I was nervous bc we didn't want to miss our flight. I got an email from the company 15 min before our pickup time with the drivers name and cell #. I texted the driver to confirm that he was on the way and he responded immediately that he was 2 min from our hote. Before we could get our group of 14 to the street, he was already there. He loaded all our luggage and masterfully drove us through the busy streets. We never sat still in traffic and we're safely at the airport 45 min later. The 14 passenger sprinter van we used both to and from the airport were spotless and luxurious. I was even able to charge my dying cell phone using one of the ports in the van. Amazing, flawless experience. I did TONS of research on shuttle companies and apparently only the unhappy people write reviews. I took a chance on Luxor because of the beautiful pictures of the vans, and while I knew it could be a sham, I was not disappointed at all. I will use Luxor over and over for every trip. My wife and I had spent the night in NYC and needed transportation from the central park area to Cape Liberty for a cruise. We booked the night before via phone with no problems. Our all in price including tax, tolls, and gratuity was cheaper than anyone anyone else I called. Very prompt pickup......actually 15 mins early. Consistent updates the day before the day of and an update that our driver John was on his was. Received text mess when he showed up to pick my wife and I up. John was very helpful loaded luggage and opened the door for both of us. He was open to small talk or let my wife and I have have our own discussions. The ride took about 45 mins. He really seem to know the area and we felt safe throughout the trip........I only mention that because we have had car service in the past that we weren't sure if we would make it to our destination. All in all Luxor provided a great service all around and I would have no trouble hiring or referring them to anyone in the need or transportation that they provide....... read more
