Ken installed my front and rear dashcam. It went quickly, and he made sure to install it correctly, i.e., tuck the wires BEHIND the curtain airbags in the door. He gave me concise instructions on how to work the camera at the end. He petted my dogs and they liked him. Having the installation take place at home is indeed a luxury BUT it wasn't way more expensive than going to some garage ten miles away where the installation takes 3 hours because the installer is answering the phone, dealing with other customers or other distractions. In fact, in one case it was cheaper and took significantly less time than what I was quoted. PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF. I called Luxury Audio to diagnose a non-working entertainment system in my 2016 Aston Martin. The technician, Konstantin ( Kon) arrived on time as scheduled and was professional and courteous. After suggesting some parts I should order, I asked he install a back up camera in my 2013 BMW 335, which he did that same day and to my complete satisfaction. The 2016 Aston Martin was not so cooperative and when the parts arrived, they were either erroneously ordered by me or they were not the source of the problem. To make matters worse, the battery was beginning to fail as a result of the lengthy time needed to diagnose the audio problem and affecting other systems in the car. Two of my woofers in the Aston Martin had blown, B&O replacements were $2k each (and to be honest, the B&O system is just not that great aside from the rising tweeters), but the guys at Luxury Car Auto took them out, fit replacements that sound much better than factory in the casings for nowhere near that ridiculous OEM price, then put the thought in my head about having CarPlay installed - they come to you, and as usual with any car audio installs, you want to just let them do their job and not check-in midway through so you're not terrorized by seeing your delicate car parts in an overly complex car in pieces (I took them up on it and had CarPlay installed). Constantine and his partner did a great job this week on my 2017 Maserati GT Sport Convertible. After much research I found Mozart Electronics and talked to Leo about upgrading my factory dash screens with an Audio Car Play with backup camera, a front camera and a new AC digital display screen. After purchasing the equipment, Leo scheduled a mobile installation at my home in Orange Co with Leo from Luxury Car Audio. They arrived at 8:30 and they worked most of the day on a complex install that turned out beautifully! Constantine and his partner were prompt, polite, knowledgeable and they really enjoyed working on my car. They were done by 3 pm and they left but about 30 min later I called them while they were still close by to do a camera adjustment and some additional questions of the Car Play system. They did not hesitate coming back to the house and taking care of a minor issue. Then they quoted me a good price for the work. Ken is the man! He showed up at 8 AM, which we scheduled, and we discussed the job. I had custom-ordered a walnut dash, a double din head unit, sub, and amp plus two tweeters and upgraded the 6" Mids. He also installed front and rear cameras and a steering wheel audio controller. Nineteen hours later, it was done. Yes, 19 hours, 8 AM - 3 AM, because he wanted to get the job done. And I was not going to stop him. Not only did he get it done, but it's also flawless! And all this work was done at my office. I never needed to bring it to a shop or leave it somewhere. Ken returned the next day to ensure everything was working correctly and to finish programming the steering controller. This was a tremendous job, and Ken made it seem like another day at the office. Saying Ken went above and beyond is an understatement. Out of 10 places I called or visited, eight said they could not do the job, and two of them I was not confident they could do the work. Ken had to cut through metal (with my blessing) to fit everything into a very tight area, but he always kept going. I, on the other hand, felt like I was dying, but he would smile and say, "it's going fine." The man is a genius. Recently, I purchased a step van and had Ken come and install the Viper Alarm, which was a walk in the park compared to my Vanderhall job. This would be considered a special install where many other shops and dealerships reneged as they could not perform the task as the wiring would involve a complicated convertible roof. I spoke to Leo about the intricacies of the job and was assured his team could manage my request. We went online and he explicitly told me what to order in addition to Amazon.com for some ancillary parts for the job. At the same time, I inquired about a third party GPS tracking system installation. Again, I was advised to order specific parts and to alert him once received by mail. We agreed on an installation price (which I felt was reasonable) and we set a date. In mid-November Leo's associate Konstantin, reached out to me to confirm my address. Yes, they will come to your residence. I found this convenient; leery of having to leave the car at a facility for an unknown period of time. For starters, Konstantin is someone you would want associated with your car because he's simply a perfectionist. Few people find their lot in life; Konstantin's life purpose was to work on custom installs. You could tell this project was nothing new for him. Rather, the challenge was what was the best solution-subset to choose from and which fact pattern made the most sense to proceed? He is meticulous/conscientious and passionate about his craft. He treated my car as if it were his own. After day one, it was determined that a longer cord would be needed for the rear camera. Once ordered, he returned without incident and was able to install the GPS system same day.
