if i could give 0 stars i would. if you are looking for a salon that can do simple designs do not go here. tried to show ryan, the tech that was doing my nails and also the owner at this establishment, what i wanted and since he seemed in a rush from the beginning, he barely looked resulting in nails that did not look like the picture. during the service, I mentioned to ryan that in the picture i showed him there are five lines and he only did three on my nails. he claimed it was because my nails were too short, and the French was not wide enough. I asked him why he didn't make the French wider, but he did not respond. I don't know why he took it upon himself, later, claiming that "the French doesn't look good wide, and he used his own judgment" instead of the picture of what i wanted. who is he to decide that he was not going to give me (a paying customer) what i wanted on my nails and change it up? separately from that he was very rude to his receptionist at the front desk while I was getting my nails done, the receptionist who seemed very young, maybe 16, was doing her best with 2 people in line and 2 phone calls on hold. at the end of my service after paying $70 for nails that did not look like the picture I realized that my right thumb was smudged so I went back in to have that fixed as these nails are for a trip and were important to me. Ryan told me it was my fault they were smudged and claimed to have "fixed" the nail. Had to go back a second time to get that same nail fixed because it was not fixed originally and looked the exact same. after going back a second time still was not done properly and there is still a smudge. i also left with nail polish on my skin around my nails on 5 nails. after leaving, I realized that the nails really don't look like the picture I tried to show him being that they were rushed through and i called the nail salon. i spoke to ryan who was very nasty as soon as he answered the phone. didn't allow me to explain the reason for my call because he cut me off and said "YOU need to listen to ME" and explained he didn't do my nails based off the picture because they were "too short" and after asking him if it was possible to fix my nails to make them look like the picture or take them off and issue me a refund he responded saying, "this is how you repay me after i fit you into my busy schedule". i am a paying customer who fit him into MY busy schedule. he will try to turn this around like he does every single other review and not take responsibility for his own actions and how he handles simple situations but there is a reason every bad review has to do with this establishment treating customers terribly. He alone is ruining his "small business". Ryan needs to work on his customer service skills, productive communication, and learn how to fix situations that paying customers bring to him with patience and customer service instead of like the aggressive man-child he just was to me. if he can't handle doing simple designs then when the customer shows them to him he should simply say he's unable to do it and if he doesn't have the time to do a fill with designs then he shouldn't try to squeeze people in to try to make a little extra money and leave a customer with rushed work on their nails and a very bad experience. save your time and money and go to Michael at Art Pro Nails in Jackson read more

After seeing their instagram & @nailsbyryan page with 15.1K followers, I was so excited to get my nails done here for vacation but what a MISTAKE that was!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! MY FINGERS ARE ALL SLICED FROM THEM FILING DOWN MY SKIN!! Both hands are different lengths and some nails thick and others thin, it's horrible!! Upon asking to speak with the owner about how to fix or refund them I was talked down to by the receptionist which was unacceptable as I was upset about my service and just wanted it to be fixed properly!! I had 5 of my nails off and wanted to get the remianing 5 soaked off professionally so they wouldn't destroy my nails. Kelly took my nails off and used an unused plastic nail to get under the corners and tear it off. It was very painful / destroyed my natural nails and when I left there was still some of my previous nail color left on the nails. I was charged $15 when I could have done the same service at home that would have hurt less. I am very disappointed and upset with this place. read more

I was visiting the area late June and came due to favorable reviews. I literally had one of my worst mani/pedicures from Lisa and Kelly, respectively. Too many complaints to list but I do NOT recommend. If interested, here are only some of the highlights (I could go on): Pedicure- worst is that the big toe is horribly painted where one side is curved and the other side is square. My nail bed does NOT even grow this way; polish does not even cover sides of nails nor goes to the nail bed so looks like already growing out; she kept stopping to work on prepping another customer even during the foot massage which is supposed to be the best part; VERY odd way of soaking/scrubbing/massaging feet as if each step was done backwards. DIP MANI- the end result looks HORRIBLE. The color doesnt even begin at the nail bed because she didnt touch my cuticles so already looks grown out! When I asked she became argumentative. Honestly, the nails are uneven, rigidity, look sloppy! I Facetimed my 24 yr old daughter to ask what she thought and even she was appalled and said I should walk right back in for a redo. Unfortunately I am travelling tomorrow and don't have time to fix but what a waste of nearly $100!!!!! I was so unhappy after spending a few hours there and all the money I spent I just wanted to leave. read more

Well, done, acrylic fill with one nail repair. Perfect symmetry length and finish. Nina did all of this in 40 minutes. Fantastic.

I went in and showed the picture of what I wanted and when I told the woman up front that it's not what I had showed at all Kelly came up and said it's because I chose the smaller glitter however even if so she just put it all over my nail vs on the ends and didn't do it similar to the picture at all. It was an ombré glitter nail with hearts and I was going to be okay with the hearts being red but the bottom one looked like a blob so I had her just not do the hearts and I'm upset that I had to pay for something not at all what I showed. If she can't do the design she should have said so. Not to mention since I can get a better look at the nails it's patchy and just not done Nicely, I got in at 1 and left at 1:30 so she was doing a rushed job vs taking her time with it which was annoying. I wish I got someone who could do what I wanted but now I have to pay someone else just to fix them. I have had Kelly do my nails before but this was just a bad experience and I'm going to be going elsewhere now due to it. read more

Providing a one star review as a zero is not an option. This was my first time here and will 100% be my absolute last time as well. From the beginning it was nothing but a nightmare. I booked an online appointment for 10 am and wanted a specific person based on recommendation and unfortunately after waiting about 20 or so minutes (after already telling 3 people who I there for, was told that that person would not be in for at least another hour). A woman who unfortunately I did not catch her name, ended up doing my pedicure. I have gone to the same lady prior to this for 14 years and since she retired, I needed someone new. The woman had the worst attitude when I asked her to fix the polish that was on my toes instead of toeNAILs. The owner said I was "trouble" despite the woman next to me with a man doing her pedicure, having the EXACT same issue. It seems a bit coincidental to me that BOTH of us have the same problem. The woman got up and didn't finish fixing her horrible work. Here is a picture of the aftermath which the owner said "I see nothing wrong with the picture and work, you just want to cause trouble". I was really looking forward to a good experience and a new pedicure place, however it was quite the opposite. Really sad. I hope no one else experiences this. read more

I was finding new nail places and I ended up choosing this one because in the pictures it looked really good (not in real life), first of all it was the first time I tried gel nails with them (BIG mistake), then the guy that did my nails started talking to his coworker in another language (very rude) while laughing and pointing at my nails, then he asked me for the color and didn't even give me the color palette (again I'm new here so don't even know what they have) so I asked for it, then I chose a color he doesn't even take a second to look and tells me he don't have it and sits down, (I was already feeling very uncomfortable so I was just about to leave, the vibe was soo bad), and he didn't even file my nails they looked big and bumpy, then he paints my nails 2 times and that was it, the color wasn't looking good it looked so messy. CONCLUSION: the nails fell at the 4th day (and I don't lift a finger), just don't go there and NEVER get the gel nails from them, they are ALL so rude, BAD SERVICE. read more

i have been a repeat client and was starting to be a regular . i booked an appointment with nina on monday 09/25 at 12pm. i was 10 minutes early and waited patiently for her to finish with her previous client ( i work in the hair industry so i know how sometimes you do run behind) . the owner told me after 10 minutes into my appointment time to sit and wait for her to finish and she greets me . it is now 12:25 and i still have not been taken and i was in a rush . i look over and she still had 2 nails to complete with full designs . i got upset and walked up to the front asking if there was someone else who could take me right away and they gave me paul . he was very nice but 2 of my nails have already fallen off and it hasn't even been a week . i am upset with the service that i have been given and will not be returning . i do not recommend coming here as there is always an issue with staff or running late . read more
