I was driving around East Hollywood looking for somewhere to get a pedicure. A lot of places were super booked up or weren't taking walk ins. Lynda nail salon popped up so i called her. She said to come in 15 minutes and I'm like perfect!!! The only thing i hate is the PARKING! The parking is bad. I recommend coming 20 minutes early to try and find a spot. It's in a small plaza where other restaurants and businesses are in. I waited 10 minutes for a parking spot. Finally got one and went inside. It was just two of them working, i don't know why people talk bad about the inside i like it lol I miss salons that look like this. She was thorough in removing the old polish, takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about her customers, so I tipped her generously. Took these pics of my ring and index finger that say it all. Nancy the manicurist is nice and did a thorough cuticle cleanup and nail prep, but no $20 basic mani service like a lotion massage. Ask me again why I tipped $5? And TBH I'm a little freaked by the tools she used - not confident they had been sanitized. Also: it's a VERY dirty space. The nail station itself is filthy and the manicurist didn't put down a towel or anything while she worked on my nails. I should have walked out the minute I stepped in. I was on a short time frame. And even stayed longer than I should. Everyone is was so nice however I asked for stiletto and got an almond shape that's severely curved. I can barely do anything with these nails. I didn't rush her btw I just said I had to go at a certain time. I came early @10am and waited for 20mins and came back again at 11:27. Then left @1:10pm. I was also told & Guarantee she's fast & takes her 45mins. My experience wasn't pleasant and disappointed. I offered cash and refused to take it she made me Venmo her. I regret giving a $10tip when it was absolutely not what I wanted. And she practically did what her own preference not mine. She said she would fix it but I'm very doubtful and nervous I'll be charged again and it'll come out worse. My birthday is literally coming up. I don't want to feel like I wasted money. I'll come back & update my review Update!!!! Waited another hour for her to come to the store. Helen is her name. Highly don't recommend coming here nor having business with her. I wanted to get my nails repainted all black and she said " no wait until I get a fill." She messed up again. Also the yellow brush she's uses isn't sanitary and it's filled with clients nail shavings. Don't take your money here all she'll do is make excuses. I made an appointment during a break I had for work. Prepping for back to school night in a covid year was rough. I got there 15 mins early and was still taken late. The lady who was supposed to do my pedicure decided she was going to go eat. When I mentioned I was on a time frame she was upset and reluctantly stayed. My $25 pedicure basically consisted of wetting my feet, no scrub, an attempt at using the machine used for acrylics on my heals, which I refused (not sure how sanitary that is, and nail paint. No buffing of the nails. Not to mention she remained upset and clearly didn't want to do my pedicure. The woman who did my manicure was very sweet and tried to make up for the clear tension. She accidentally touched my pedicure before it was dry and she tried her best to fix it while the other lady ran off. My manicure was not bad, but as you can see in the picture you can see there is still dry skin left and my polish is already chipping. Gel shouldn't chip the next day. I had to be honest because this was not $55 well spent. Not to mention having to wait 20 mins past my appointment time. I appreciate the concern the woman who did my manicure put into attempting to make up for her coworker. She was very sweet and kind why I originally wasn't going to leave this review. read more

I chose this place because it was very well reviewed and 5 min from where I'm staying in Los Feliz. It doesn't look like much, but Helen's soft touch and attention to detail will have you coming back! I made an appt and got right in--I'd recommend that, otherwise be prepared to wait. There didn't seem to be anyone else there to do mani/pedis, but business was certainly steady. Helen was wonderful with taking off my dipped nails and putting on (and extending) my new full acrylic overlay. The gel polish was a little less careful, but I still love the way my hands look with her shaping! Would definitely recommend for the great deal and great service! I went to Lynda Nail Salon last Friday as an emergency because they were the only ones open after 7:00pm. The ladies were very nice, welcoming and attentive however for the quality of the place and the job, the prices should be vastly reduced. I was charged $75 for a french gel mani and regular pedicure. The pedicure did not even include a scrub which is baseline for any pedicures. She also did not even lotion my feet/legs after she was done? Also unheard of when getting your nails done. My manicure was good however the french tip line was way too thin for my liking but it was good considering the manicurist was 80 years old. She also really struggled drawing the french tip line to begin with and had to improvise and dip my fingers on this roller with polish on it to make it easier on herself. The place as a whole is in dire need of a makeover if they're going to be charging those prices. Also not that much of an issue but the hairdresser there was on the phone the entire time which is a bit distracting if you're trying to relax. Will not be going back. read more

I called Lynda's on a Sunday around 3 to see if there was space for a full set and a pedicure. They were free and a friend of mine came with. Most of the time we were the only two customers there. The acrylics and manicure were good. My pedicure was pretty basic; not bad but nothing to write home about. The full set, gel manicure, and regular pedicure cost $88 which I thought was sort of excessive for what I got. But the staff was lovely and I would go back if I was in that neighborhood. read more

I'll start with the positive: the woman who did my nails was really nice and I was able to get in immediately. Clean, but really out of date, no music or ambiance at all. A microwave right in front where you are getting your nails done. My gel pedicure was really mediocre. She used a drill to remove the gel that was already on there. She also used the same drill for callous removal - which is stressful because those bits are not disposable so I hope I don't get an infection. Also, she didn't put down a towel for my feet at the end- instead she used magazines (what???) for under my feet while processing the gel. For the level of skill in the service it took a really long time for just a pedicure. The thing that drove me to even leave a review is this: When I called to see if I could get in, she didn't mention that this place is cash only. When my service was complete I handed her my card and she told me then that it is cash only. She told me I could go to BofA and get cash (and suffer the ATM fees). I asked if she took Venmo and she informed me that the woman who takes Venmo wasn't there. THEN. The reason I'm leaving 3 stars. She went in and asked the only other customer who had an appointment and at this point was running about 20 minutes behind to start - I hope she wasn't on her lunch, poor thing - the owner of the nail shop asked this other customer if I could Venmo HER and then SHE could pay the shop in cash. It was $35 for the gel pedicure. DRAMA. So, mediocre service, unprofessional, hard to pay them, ridiculous solutions that are totally inconvenient for customers and a completely out of date and out of touch space. Also, she kept calling me "Lady", which felt condescending and annoying. I wouldn't go back here. I'll make appointments where I usually go from now on so I don't end up in this situation again. read more

I absolutely loved how Lynda's provided a place to just be a woman: chit-chatting about aging, gossiping about the neighborhood, and getting the kind of manicure my mother used to get. It's no-frills, just good thorough work. Two full coats of everything, attention to the tips and best of all, a thorough callus-removal with classic tools.
