She is thorough in there ability to perfectly clean up the cuticle and prep the nail for polish. My manicured last for 5 to 6 weeks now, something I never would thought possible. Leila is incredibly talented, she can do pretty much any design that one would desire and she's always coming up with new techniques to make your nails stand out. Leila is located inside of Lola's Salon, there is usually parking but sometimes another business in the strip mall seems to have an event going which clogs parking up. Leila maintains a clean and comfortable space with a soothing ambiance. She is polite and always on time. She always is just a genuinely nice person, you can tell that she loves her craft and she cares about her clients being happy. Leila also offers a loyalty punch card which is so cool. I can actually just relax and know my nails are going to look fire without me having to watch so super closely because I don't have to point out differences in shape or length etc from nail to nail and from hand to hand like I have in the past. My nails look uniform and everything always just looks right when he does them. He does an amazing job with my toes as well and the whole process is super relaxing and enjoyable. I do think nails in Alaska are more expensive than other places but I do feel like you get what you pay for at VIP at the same time. Between my nails and my toes there are so many steps and processes and still throughout I always feel welcome and like David wants to be doing my nails. I never ever feel like he just wants to get me done and on my way faster or anything like that. I want to say that while I do understand the general vibe that some other reviews mentioned about how nail salons aren't always super friendly but I genuinely don't get that energy here. This is one of the more inviting nail salons I've been to where I'm the most comfortable. First- they charge 40 for a gel set, i had to pay 55. Also, they had a very old man do my nails- he…read morewas shaking profusely the whole time bc he cant hold still- also grinded down my nails so far i had to scream and pull my hand away for a few minutes, was even more shakey after that. My nails have different shapes on almost every finger and different lengths. The gel around my nails on my cuticles and sides was never cleaned up and he didnt paint the actual tips of the nails so i had to ask for every nail to get the tip painted. Skme nails point upward too. The paint was never brought fully to my cuticles so it looks as if i already need a fill and its only been abut 15 hours. They dont care about your cuticles here either. The nails are lumpy, thick and bulky and i would HIGHLY RECOMMEND: SAVE YOURSELF THE TOME AND MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. this is a piss poor chop shop!
