Decent. This is our first time we've eaten here and it was a decent pizza. I would just ask for a crispier crust next time. We ordered a small barbecue chicken pizza and the toppings were plentiful. The only thing that I felt was off, for my taste, was the barbecue sauce. While they only drizzled the sauce over the finished pizza, for my taste, it just had too much of a tang. I wish that it had more of a hickory or Smokey flavor but that's just me. In fact, on my second slice, I dabbed the barbecue sauce off with a napkin. I thought it was much better. We ended up taking three slices back to our hotel room and placed it in our refrigerator. We ate it the next day cold for lunch. While in the adjacent bar ordering some beers, I saw a rectangular small individual personal pizza brought out with sausage and pepper on it. It looked really good. I'd try that next time.

We were starving for some good food after a super long bus ride. Our bus driver Jason told us about this place. And while they sell by the slice, it was actually cheaper to order a large pizza for 6 of us. We did half bbq chicken and half chicken with a white sauce topped with tomatoes. My half was the bbq side and it was good. I normally don't eat the crust but I totally did. It really was a good pizza. And thanks to the staff member who mentioned that it would be advantageous for us to order a whole pizza. It's actually a bigger place than expected. Tons of seating but it was quite a warm day so we sat outside. There's also a bar area as well, but we didn't grab a drink. It was all about pizza at the moment. Bus driver Jason was right about the good pizza.

3.5/5 Late Post Aug 23' As busy as they were, I really wasn't impressed with the food. The pizza was mixed of regular and thin crust. My partner and the in-laws are New Yorkers, yes, they like it thin but I'm a California girl that grew up with all kinds of crusts, Ny style, super thin crust, Chicago style, Sicilian, pizza hut, dominos I enjoy a variety but it has to be good! This particular joint was ok, typical of something we make at home which meant the ingredients should have been the highlight, it wasn't but the service was really good and the prices worth the area.

Wow this is some good pizza! Is it the best in Alaska? No. However it is a great pizza with an amazing flavor. It also has an extremely fair price for both the slice and whole pies. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant!

Pizza Slices Ready to Eat $8

We only had 30min to find food and get on a tour after our Princess hotel drop off and needed a place that would be fast and easy for food and service. On those accounts, Lynx delivered with a short walk from the main Princess lodge, and with ready made pizza slices already hot and ready to grab and eat. Service was a simple order at the counter and serve yourself any fountain drink, water, or extras. The pizza tasted fresh, and two slices was more than filling to make up for the lack of breakfast and time until dinner. Food is expensive in Denali pretty much everywhere, so these hot and ready slices were $8 each. If we'd had time to wait, we could have ordered a full custom pizza for the same price as four slices, but alas we were a slave to time. The BBQ Chicken slice was great, the Popeye was fine for a vegetarian but ended up tasting mostly like cheese bread without much sauce and a touch of spinach and onion.

This pizza place is part of the Princess Denali Wilderness lodge complex. Rustic but boy is it busy. Much like Disney World or an amusement park restaurant you are a captured client. Want a pizza well there is one other place about 100 miles down the road. Now the negative out of the way they could offer you cardboard and get away with it as it is the only option. But they did not. They offered a fine pizza that really hit the spot after a long bus ride. There really is no service you walk up to the counter (big line) and order. They bring the food out to you. How they even find your table is a miracle as the place is divided into many smaller rooms.

I don't often get pizza out as I'm usually disappointed. This restaurant has some of the best tasting pizza I've ever had. Definitely not skimpy on ingredients, fast and friendly service. Six of us had one each medium size of the Savage River, Polychrome Pass and Milepost 238.5. We had a whole pizza leftover. Side salad was generous and freshly made. I wish we could come here more often... They also deliver.

Medium... Eight good-size slices. Enough for two adults with enough left over for a late-night snack.

Although it was a cold and wet Alaskan night, inside was warm and comfy. We were seating pretty immediately even though it was packed, and our friend (who so graciously drove us here) recommended we try their Yak Burger. Usually I let my camera eat first, but the burger smelled so good, I ended up devouring it before I could even take a picture. One of the best burgers I've had in my life. The beers too were delicious. There's something for everyone here from light lagers to heavy stouts and even fruity ciders. You can't go wrong. Highly recommend stopping by 49th State Brewing.

When we arrived there was a bit of a wait for dinner seating - which we didn't mind; gave us an opportunity to order some drinks and checkout the enormous outdoor space they have in front. Unfortunately while they listed many beers on the menu, they were out of at least half of them. Wasn't an issue for me as I was able to get my fill with what they had available -- but I would have loved to try some flights to taste them all (if they had them available). As mentioned, even with what was avaiable; tons of variety and everything I tried (IPAs and Sours) were great. It was cool to explore "the bus" out front; they let you go inside which they've made a mini museum with timeline; it isn't actually "THE bus" -- it's the one used in the movie (Into the Wild), but a great replica that lets you really imagine what Chris was living in out there. We were called in for our table much sooner than expected. Friendly server who, like most summer staff in Denali, are young foreigners that are coming to the USA for the first time on a temporary work visa to visit -- can't blame them, our country is the best. Despite being inexperienced, the server tried his best and did a good job. Where this place flounders is in the food. Nothing to write home about - everything was just at about par for the most part. We had the nachos as an appetizer -- very simple, decent size, nothing special. I ordered the Yak Burger per recommendations; wasn't worthwhile. Didn't taste much different than a normal run-of-the-mill burger. I couldn't differential between the yak meat and any other normal beef burger; menu item seems like a bit of a tourist trap. My partner had one of the fish dishes (I think the cod) and also wasn't impressed - small portion size and nothing substantive in terms of fresh flavor. Both dishes seemed overpriced given the lack of taste/quality. I definitely wouldn't recommend eating here, but would recommend swinging by for a drink prior to (or after) going somewhere else to dine.

My first impression upon checking in at the hostess station and looking into the seating area, was that it might not be as good an experience as I'd hoped. I was wrong. They were jammed. We got seated at one of three 2-tops next to the open kitchen. Normally I enjoy being able to watch food being prepared but I thought it was going to be too loud and busy. Well, it was loud but tolerable and it was a very busy space but I really enjoyed watching the grill-man, the other prep folks as well as the 2 People doing the finishing touches, garnishes and delivering the food. Our server was Regan. What a pleasure she was. Really delightful, helpful and attentive. We ordered cocktails and an appetizer and slowly enjoyed both. Later, we ordered a single meal to share. We loved it! Here's what we had: Drinks: Cosmo cocktail Lavender Gin cocktail Blackberry Smash cocktail All the drinks were well crafted and very tasty. Appetizer: Halibut Bites Really nice appetizer. Salad: Wedge with Blue Cheese dressing The salad was large enough to share and we asked for some extra dressing. Really good. Side: Marscapone Potato Gratin These were really special. Love it. Main: Prime Beef Filet with Lobster Herb Butter Oh my word, super tender and flavorful.
