Decent. This is our first time we've eaten here and it was a decent pizza. I would just ask for a crispier crust next time. We ordered a small barbecue chicken pizza and the toppings were plentiful. The only thing that I felt was off, for my taste, was the barbecue sauce. While they only drizzled the sauce over the finished pizza, for my taste, it just had too much of a tang. I wish that it had more of a hickory or Smokey flavor but that's just me. In fact, on my second slice, I dabbed the barbecue sauce off with a napkin. I thought it was much better. We ended up taking three slices back to our hotel room and placed it in our refrigerator. We ate it the next day cold for lunch. While in the adjacent bar ordering some beers, I saw a rectangular small individual personal pizza brought out with sausage and pepper on it. It looked really good. I'd try that next time. read more

We were starving for some good food after a super long bus ride. Our bus driver Jason told us about this place. And while they sell by the slice, it was actually cheaper to order a large pizza for 6 of us. We did half bbq chicken and half chicken with a white sauce topped with tomatoes. My half was the bbq side and it was good. I normally don't eat the crust but I totally did. It really was a good pizza. And thanks to the staff member who mentioned that it would be advantageous for us to order a whole pizza. It's actually a bigger place than expected. Tons of seating but it was quite a warm day so we sat outside. There's also a bar area as well, but we didn't grab a drink. It was all about pizza at the moment. My partner and the in-laws are New Yorkers, yes, they like it thin but I'm a California girl that grew up with all kinds of crusts, Ny style, super thin crust, Chicago style, Sicilian, pizza hut, dominos I enjoy a variety but it has to be good! You could get better quality food if you just walk across the street and dine at a local restaurant. Cruise line owned restaurants are garbage. Especially princess cruises. We enjoyed a full day of adventures at Denali National Park today so we decided to top the day off with pizza. As with many pizza joints you order at the counter. You can order a full pizza or (pre-made) pizza by the slice. Since we weren't super hungry, we ordered pizza by the slice that comes with a side salad and fountain drink. I had the Popeyes slice (spinach, garlic, caramelized onions) and my husband had the Aloha slice (Canadian bacon, pineapple). The pizzas were good...I imagine they would've been better straight out of the oven instead of sitting in the warmer ready to go. The salad consisted of romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese and croutons - choice of Ranch, Italian or Caesar dressing). Very simple but still pretty good. If you want something quick and simple to eat we would definitely recommend Lynx Creek Pizza. read more

We only had 30min to find food and get on a tour after our Princess hotel drop off and needed a place that would be fast and easy for food and service. On those accounts, Lynx delivered with a short walk from the main Princess lodge, and with ready made pizza slices already hot and ready to grab and eat. Service was a simple order at the counter and serve yourself any fountain drink, water, or extras. The pizza tasted fresh, and two slices was more than filling to make up for the lack of breakfast and time until dinner. Food is expensive in Denali pretty much everywhere, so these hot and ready slices were $8 each. If we'd had time to wait, we could have ordered a full custom pizza for the same price as four slices, but alas we were a slave to time. The BBQ Chicken slice was great, the Popeye was fine for a vegetarian but ended up tasting mostly like cheese bread without much sauce and a touch of spinach and onion. read more

This is a self service place. Once you order your food you seat yourself and your food is brought out. The pizza was just ok. Some pizzas in our group were too done and a few were burnt. Not much going for this place except we were able to arrange enough tables and chairs to accommodate 15. This pizza place is part of the Princess Denali Wilderness lodge complex. Rustic but boy is it busy. Much like Disney World or an amusement park restaurant you are a captured client. Want a pizza well there is one other place about 100 miles down the road. Now the negative out of the way they could offer you cardboard and get away with it as it is the only option. But they did not. They offered a fine pizza that really hit the spot after a long bus ride. There really is no service you walk up to the counter (big line) and order. They bring the food out to you. How they even find your table is a miracle as the place is divided into many smaller rooms. read more

There isn't that many places around Denali NP to eat if you're staying multiple days so we ended up here twice. We had the cheese bread, pizzas, and a Caesar salad (once with chicken, once without). The chicken on the salad was over done and tough, not worth spending the extra money on. The pizza dough/crust is average. Not bad but not fantastic either. Just so-so. We also had margaritas and a hard lemonade. The hard lemonade was SO good, definitely recommend that drink. The place was clean, including the bathrooms. I would suggest an early dinner there before the big rush. The staff was all very friendly and quick. You order at the counter, they give you cups to fill up yourself and a number to put at your table for them to bring you your food. They don't check in on you after that. This was really good pizza! The way I decide when it's an unfamiliar place --and the reviews are less than stellar -- is by smell. It smelled great, so I signaled hubby the ! From there, the service was friendly and informative. When we couldn't decide which pizza we wanted, she informed us that we could choose half and half. Perfect! Hubby likes the meats, and I only like veggies on my pizza. The medium is eight good-size slices. Enough for my hungry man and me. We were full and had enough left over for a late-night snack. This place was a very welcome stop both going to Fairbanks and coming back from our visit there. We walked in after a pretty long day of sitting (one of our group members drove the whole way) and came in for some food. We smelled the amazing aroma of cooking pizzas, so we knew this was the place. Great ambiance as it's like a cabin/lodge with lots of wood and feels so welcoming like a place you could hang out and just enjoy company with others. There is a counter to order from, so we went with the family sized Savage River ($29) Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon, ground beef, mushrooms, & onions make up this beast. It was so tasty. It was between a thin and medium crust, which worked great to support these toppings. I really enjoyed every bite (and being out of a car too). We paired it with some of the local brews that they have on tap. I have to say, Alaska needs to start beer tours based on these wonderful brews. If you need to rest a bit, enjoy some beer and pizza, this is the place! read more

We were originally going to eat in the bar, but it was to noisy/loud. Apparently, you have to fall off the barstool before they will stop pouring you drinks in this state. To the matter at hand. Despite the noisy bar, we went into the "backroom" and found a large table and seated ourselves. We sent one person to stand in line and order our pizzas. We ordered 2 large pizzas, the Savage River and Santa's Favorite. Santa's Favorite was our real reason to come here. Tarragon on pizza? Excellent. Inventive and tasty. I think this may be attached to the Princess Lodge. I am going to give a pretty lenient review because of a couple of things. -There is nothing in this town some souvenir shops and some very local places that were closed for end of season-if you can find somewhere to eat at all it was a pretty good day- Even the Subway Sandwich place across the Street was closed for the season. -I hail from 2 cities that are known for their pizzas...NYC and Chicago. You order and then you go hunt a table and they bring your food to you-there has to be a better way. It is a crowded little restaurant-dark inside. We had the pesto pasta-Salad-Garlic Bread Platter thing. Just OK. The pasta was a tad over cooked and the bread just had greasy cheese melted over it--the salad was nothing fancy- at all-greens and store bought crutons-you know the deal. Ordered a Calzone- Once again OK nothing to write home about. A little dry and tasted like something you buy at the grocery store and heat up at home that they are charging more for. It took a bit of time to finally get our food. They were busy as I stated they were one of the few establishments that were still open. It fit the bill before the long drive back to Anchorage as there is nothing on the road-not even a gas station for miles and miles. It was kind of annoying all the staff could talk about is how they weren't going to be there tomorrow because the season was over-They stated it constantly-and to anyone that would listen-I understand it was indeed a fact but we all do not need to constantly hear about it. You are at mercy of princess if you take the land portion of a cruise. So this was the only pizza place at the lodge. It is bigger then it looks. It has about 3 dinning area's. You place you order at a counter then they take it to your table. Service was very friendly and pretty fast for how busy they were. Price for Alaska food was I thought good. Good selection of salads and sandwich and if course pizza. We scratched our head because the 12 inch small we ordered looked like 14 or 15 inch pizza. Oh my we had alott of pizza. Solid 3.5-4 ish range. Ordered a salad, 2 small (12") pizzas and 3 drinks, came out to just over $50. It's Denali - anyone here complaining about high prices needs to get their head examined - this isn't exactly a major metropolitan hub. Anyway, the salad was your basic salad - lettuce, tomatoes, and some bacon bits with ranch dressing. Hard to screw that up. One of our pizzas was vegetarian, and the other was a tomato based pepperoni, mushroom and olive. The pizzas themselves I felt were a bit to doughy - i like my pizzas more on the thin side. But anyway, they were fine, but again, 3.5-4 range, though i suppose I should award some extra points on the curve just for being decent in a backwoods place like Denali. For me, what separates a 4* from a 5* is that I would make a plan to go back to a 5* anytime I was in the area. As a person born and raised my standards pizza are high and I was against eating at this restaurant but I did and found the pizza to be possibly the worst I have ever had. The dough was way under cooked and almost raw in the middle. The bottom was white and not the nice brown that a well cooked pie should be. I ordered a calzone which I returned when it came out, it did not resemble the beautiful calzones, brown and crunchy on the outside with ricotta and mozzarella inside, hot and oozing.
