Karma is a great host and I am always impressed with the dinner specials and beer selection. Full bar too!

My fish and chips entree was marginal at best. The exterior was crispy but the fish inside was almost mushy. No texture, not flaky. I've had far better elsewhere. One of the steaks at our table was ordered medium and it came out well done and was inedible. To their credit they comped that entree. The shrimp and grits were OK, but the grits were not creamy as you would expect in that dish. The view was great, but the food was not unfortunately.

The second time was pretty good; not too memorable honestly. This third time, there were good and less good parts. The service was pretty good; the waitress was attentive and calm, but it did take awhile to get our red wine glasses for dinner. We wanted a side of "fresh seasonal vegetables" which was $6 for 5-6 small pieces of asparagus; even our waitress admitted that was a bit weak and that she'd take it off our receipt, but she never did and I felt weird asking about it. Two entrees were the filet mignon which were pretty good and well-cooked, but very small in size (no more than 4 oz). I ordered the beef wellington special, which I had to send back the first time because it was clearly undercooked; the second one was slightly better and I think letting it rest longer helped. The service was just not particularly nice about me sending back the first wellington, even though it was clearly undercooked. The dessert was really good - mixed berry crumbled with delicious vanilla ice cream. I'm not sure that I will feel as inclined to come back again after 2 subpar experiences now.

The restaurant itself is…read morestunning; beautifully designed with a modern feel, and the harbor views make for an incredible atmosphere. We started with the meatball appetizer, which was outstanding. The meatballs were incredibly light, tender, and flavorful, and the accompanying focaccia was just as impressive. It was fresh, crusty, and perfect for soaking up every bit of sauce. For my entrée, I ordered the rigatoni. The house-made pasta was cooked perfectly, and the slightly spicy tomato sauce had just the right amount of heat. The generous portion of sausage made the dish hearty without being overwhelming, and the portion size was spot on. My wife ordered the ravioli, which was served in a rich and creamy sauce that was absolutely delicious. Like my dish, the fresh, house-made pasta really stood out and elevated the entire meal. Between the beautiful setting, excellent service, and outstanding food, Terrace Room delivered a fantastic dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

I made a 6:30pm reservation and noted the occasion, and the staff sweetly sat us right by the window with a stunning view of Lake Michigan. I started the night with an Aperol Spritz. While their menu doesn't explicitly label items as gluten-free, I had called ahead and knew they could accommodate me. The appetizer options were a bit limited, so we shared the Brussels to start, followed by the corn and tomato risotto for my main, which was delicious. Our server was relatively new but incredibly attentive, even making sure to double-check with the kitchen that everything was safely GF. They offer multiple gluten-free options for mains and desserts, including GF pasta. We shared the ricotta cheesecake, and our server also brought out a complimentary chocolate mousse with orange slices and a birthday candle. Don't let the unlabeled menu scare you off--the staff is wonderful, the food is great, and you can't beat the lakeside view!

I could see this place getting very busy, but the times I went it wasn't too bad. Friendly staff at the counter. The lady bird sandwich was tasty and I was very full after it! Husband got a breakfast wrap (it comes pre made in foil behind the counter if that would impact your decision on whether to get it). Tasty nonetheless. Also got a cinnamon roll which was good, a bit sweet of course, but something I'd get again to split! Would stop by here again if you're in the area!

They had a great variety of salads, sandwiches, desserts, and drinks, so it took us a minute to decide. We ordered the Fiesta Wrap (8/10). It was really good, but I think it could have used a little more seasoning. The salsa definitely helped bring everything together though. We also got the Wise Guy, which was a 10/10. It was filling, made with fresh ingredients, and came with a side of kettle chips that were also really good. For dessert, we got a cookie that was moist, soft, and pulled apart easily. Definitely worth trying. I also ordered a small iced s'mores latte. It tasted more like a mocha than a s'mores latte, but I didn't mind because it was still enjoyable. Even though they seemed pretty busy, the service was efficient and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Overall, a great spot with fresh food, plenty of options, and good service. I'd definitely come back.

My daughter-in-law made reservations and when we arrived, there were no handicap spaces at all due to the 4th of July fireworks, so my son had us get out of our car and went and parked it (we drove two cars) A valet option would have been nice. When we entered, the hostess told us to sit anywhere. We told her we had reservations on the patio, so she led us outside. We realized on this very hot and sticky day that there wasn't adequate fans to help move the air, so we requested to be seated inside (remember we were told to sit anywhere) We were then told they weren't seating inside, although there was a couple tables of people inside. The place wasn't the least bit busy, so I don't know why we couldn't sit inside. I have health issues and my ankles and feet swell with humid weather, which is one of the reasons we moved to southern Arizona. I even told whoever was seating us that I would swell up but they didn't care. Keep in mind the reservations were made days in advance and we didn't know it was going to be so awful outside. The next issue was the menu. They only offered a limited 4th of July menu, so all our original choices were out the window. They were not busy when we arrived at 6 and still not busy when we left at 7, so I think their expectations were overblown. There were also another table or two seated inside, which was odd since they weren't seating inside. I will give them points for the breakfast smash burger and fries cooked in tallow. The food was good. It wasn't to-die-for, but no complaints. That's the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars. The crappy seating attitude and limited menu knocked off a star and the fact I could barely wear my sandals by the time we finished because my feet and ankles were swollen and huge knocked off another star. I guess they also don't expect people with kids to eat at their restaurant. We ordered a lemonade for the 3 year old and they brought a 16 ounce cup with an easily- removed rubber lid, which she immediately removed and spilled her drink before we could grab her. I ask the wait staff for a children's cup and they said that was it. The rubber lid counted I guess. Keep in mind our water glasses were less than half the size of their "children's" cup but they were made of glass. I'll give them a solid meh and a one finger salute for their attitude.
