When we got there the host was nice until our waitress came. She wasn't very nice, "what do you want" for example. After getting our food my steak was heavily undercooked almost raw on the inside and VERY over seasoned. To take the cake when we left a lower than average tip on the bill since the service wasn't very good they charged us an extra 10%! When we got home we called and they said it was the "minimum tip" like that is a thing. This is outrageous. Please reconsider going here. Tavern 32 is a modern looking neighborhood restaurant with friendly staff, but our visit was held back by slow service and average food. I ordered the pecan-crusted catfish. The flavor was fine but fairly ordinary, and the fish was overcooked. It took about seven minutes for someone to take our order, followed by nearly 20 minutes for the food to arrive. The delay appeared to be a staffing problem rather than a lack of effort. One employee, Liz, seemed to be handling nearly everything. From what I could tell, she was the hostess, bartender, and server. At one point, I half-jokingly wondered whether she was also cooking the food. Liz worked extremely hard and was practically running around the restaurant trying to keep up. Unfortunately, one person cannot effectively cover an entire restaurant, and the limited staffing resulted in long waits and an overall experience that was just average. read more

Nice variety on the menu. I was not impressed with the appetizer we chose but the rest of the food was very good! I got the fish and chips, 3 nice sized pieces with good fries. My husband got a salad and it was huge with lots of toppings, not just lettuce. Very comfortable environment, not to load. Service was nice and food came out in a timely manner. read more

I was trying to find a new restaurant, so I took my niece to Tavern 32 for her 18th birthday. We both had the cherry-glazed salmon which came with rice and 1 other side. I upgraded and added a house salad for my second side, and my niece had fries for her second side. They were crowded and service was very slow, but we had a nice waitress and the food was really good. The restaurant was small but it felt cozy and we liked the atmosphere overall. My salad was a nice size and had red and green bell peppers. The croutons were seasoned really well and I wound up eating the entire salad as well as my entire entree. The fries my niece had were huge and she said that the fries were very good. I had told the waitress that we were celebrating my niece's birthday so we wanted to order a dessert to-go. Although we both ordered a turtle cheesecake, our waitress only brought one out, but she surprised my niece by putting a candle on her cheesecake so she could blow out the candle later. My niece wanted me to ask about the cheesecake I had ordered, but I told her I wasn't going to worry about it at that point. I deducted a star because of the slow service and also because this restaurant charges a fee for paying by credit card. I wasn't aware of that until I was presented with the bill, but thankfully I had enough cash on me to cover the bill and tip. read more

Had a great lunch today at Tavern 32. What a nice little restaurant! Clearly renovated recently, it was a great spot to meet with a friend. Both of us had huge salads: chicken chopp and waldorf. Also, the staff were really attentive and kind. I've heard their burgers are really good, too. Worth checking out. read more

I experienced good service and good food. If you're in to sports it's a great place to go and hang out inside. Looks like if you're looking for a more quiet evening, the nice patio section would be great. I ordered the fish and chips which I get most places I go. I'd give that a seven out of 10. It's a nice spot for the small town of Richland. I wish we had more like it here. read more

Newly relocated ( former North 11)this is a much needed addition to this area which seems to suffer, dining wise, from the abundance of choices available in next-door Kalamazoo. I've only given 4 stars as it's only just opened and time will tell, but food and ambiance were perfect in our initial visit. Very reminiscent of North 11, which we loved. This is the old North 11 from Gull Road. Same menu as before, but no longer offers pizzas. Trusty servers Terra and Alonzo have moved with the restaurant and STILL offer EXCELLENT service. Wings are still one of the best in town. read more

I placed a to-go order on the phone--which was tricky because finding a menu online was nearly impossible! Reading other reviews, I knew they had fish & chips, so that's what I'd get. When the phone was answered, I wasn't sure I'd called the right place because all I heard was a meek "Hello?" After being sure I had the right place, I ordered my entree, and asked about desserts--two to pick from. (Really? Hard to believe there's only two, but I'm at the mercy of the voice on the other end of the phone.) Cheesecake or carrot cake--took carrot cake. Twenty minutes later, full parking lot (not even 6pm yet)--parked around back. Order wasn't ready yet, so sat at the bar and waited. Adding an extra charge for credit or debit purchases seems fine for a small business, but I've never experienced that with an established restaurant--I paid cash. It seemed higher than expected (never saw a menu). $25 for entree + dessert before tip Quality of food was good, but amount of food in entree seemed on the small side for price. There were three relatively small pieces of fish (smaller than the palm of my hand). The coleslaw container actually melted--I guess from the heat of the fish? The fries were good, but there weren't many of them. The carrot cake was good. The cream cheese frosting on the top was yummy, but there wasn't enough In between the layers. Ratio of cake to frosting is important! It was presented well, with a caramel drizzle and whipped cream. I probably wouldn't get take-out again because I feel like I paid the same amount and got less food because it was to go. read more

Roadt beef sandwich was delicious! Bread was very fresh, and they offered a great horseradish sauce in addition to the tasty au jus. The chicken chop salad was also great, in spite of the field green lettuce. I prefer romaine. Super nice wait staff! read more

Tried this place for the first time. The food and service was great. I had the prime dip sandwich and my wife had the hot chicken sandwich, both were delicious. We shared the calamari appetizer, the bet calamari in the area. Highly recommend and will be back!!! read more

Nice atmosphere. I order the fish and chips. I enjoyed the fish but the fries not so much. That could be on me though, as I prefer plain french fries without any spices or additives. Watching people who came in with us eat their appetizers, then finish their entrees while we can't get an order of fish and chips and the salmon special of the day. "Bread basket?
