I have never ever been in a restaurant where everyone was so kind! Every employee was smiling and appeared to genuinely enjoy their job. I like that typically means the employers are good to their employees. As for the food, meh. The salad was fantastic. The burger, I had a burger special beer something. The bun was cold and the meat dry. I was hoping for a sloppy wipe my face with lots of napkins burger. Sadly I did not get that, maybe someone else would enjoy a dry burger with a cold bun. I would definitely go back and order something different. The salad orders looked absolutely fantastic. Lastly the positive attitude of the staff makes me want to go back and support them. read more

We had a family meet up post Christmas. Our server, Robert, was amazing, prompt and friendly, but not annoying. He also explained work towards local items. The interior is a decent size, high ceilings, open, exposed brick wall and wood. The food was a much higher standard than the average brewery, which is good for me as I do not drink beer. I did try their peppermint holiday cider, which was interesting, I don't think I'd order it again, but my friend really liked it. My nephew noted that he was glad the food was good, not just the fries, as he is not old enough for beer. He had the chicken tenders and he said they were the best he's ever had. We started with the giant pretzel. It was a special, which is too bad, as it was fantastic (and should be added to the menu). There was that slight crispness to the outside, warm soft inside, and perfect crystallized salt. It came with cheese sauce and grainy mustard, both were great, the pretzel could still hold its own without sauce. Their menu is not huge, and I think it's better for it. They featured steak and burgers (and my aunt was happy to have a good gluten free bun!). I had the garlic steak tips, cooked perfectly at medium, and garlic mashed potatoes (I'm sure my breath was potent after). The sauce was very good, and I love garlic, so being very garlicky worked for me. It also had a side of creamy horseradish sauce that paired perfectly. The only mis step was the steak was a bit cool in temperature, and I didn't want to send it back and the be over cooked. The others had burgers, and an autumn salad. Everything we had today was DELICIOUS! Started with wings (8) naked with side of both buffalo and bbq sauce with blue cheese dressing. Husband ordered their Ruben sandwich with a side of Caesar salad. (The really need to make this a regular menu item because that was GOOD!!) Caesar salad came with plenty of dressing, just the way he likes it. I ordered a side of their mac and cheese (slightly robust and spectacular), and their Autumn salad with grilled steak. The dressing, which was called apple cider vinegar, was so good, I almost asked for more to take home with me! The combination of apples, candied walnuts and dried cranberries along side the salad greens and chunks of blue cheese was phenomenal. Sweet, savory and tangy...WOWIE! The steak was a perfect medium rare and nicely seasoned. The whole place was already decked out in Halloween/ Spooky Time decor. It was hopping with folks and it wasn't even dinner time. We had dinner at Schaendorf Brewing Company on Friday, October 18th. The evening started off well, with John, the bartender, being very friendly while we waited for our table. He made a great drink, and we were looking forward to our meal. Unfortunately, the dinner itself was disappointing due to poor customer service at our table. Three of our four meals were good, but my experience was ruined by the mishandling of my order. I ordered the special "Hocus Pocus Burger" and requested the avocado spread on the side. The burger arrived rare, even though I ordered it medium, and the avocado spread was on the burger despite my request. Our server never informed me of any restrictions on making changes to the burger. I tried to be flexible and gave the burger a chance, but after two small bites, I asked for it to be remade without the avocado spread. To my shock, the server returned with the same incorrect burger and informed me that I would be charged for a second burger if I wanted it fixed. They refused to make it right and wouldn't take it off our bill, even though I barely touched it. I ended up taking it home for my dog! The lack of accountability was astonishing, and the manager was extremely rude when we tried to discuss the issue. It was a frustrating experience, and I would advise anyone dining here to document their order because customer service and accountability seem to be severely lacking. read more

This includes fresh never frozen steaks, including hard to find hanger steaks that are delicious grilled. Met friend from out of town for dinner! Our group of 6 was quickly sat at a high top in the bar area. Our service was excellent, being asked if we would like another drink when closed to empty. My husband had "the closest beer to a domestic" and I had a Moscow's mule. I ordered the caesar salad and added steak on. My steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and the lettuce was crispy fresh. Husband got the steak with coleslaw (very good!) and mashed potatoes. We have been here multiple times and this was our best service yet. read more

We love it here! Place is always packed for a reason. It's a louder atmosphere, but when you're in a booth you don't notice it as much. We've tried several things on the menu and have yet to be disappointed by the main dishes. We didn't care for the sweet potato fries - bit of a smoky seasoning on them. Not what we were looking for. But their regular fries = delicioso! And the cheese sauce on the side? Mm mmm mmmm! Some of the dishes we've tried are: Brewers Wrap + Chicken + Southwest Dressing, omit the egg: So good. I got the grilled chicken, would order with crispy chicken next time. Burgers: The Dorf Olive Southwest Brewers & Basics All were great. We've had the southwest as a crispy chicken sandwich version as well and it was also delicious. The Dorf & Southwest are definitely our favs. The fish & chips are pretty good. My husband loves to try each places fish & chips, and he said they didn't take a spot in his top five, but they did not disappoint. The service was great and the food delicious. Have had Caesar salad with chicken, and Steak bites, each time with the most amazing garlic mashed potatoes! Next I'm trying a burger with gluten free bun, can't wait! I wish they would add foam insulation, maybe even the panels that look like old timey metal ceilings, anything to quiet the accoustics. Must be good because the wait was a while, but we found 2 seats at the bar and ordered there. Overall the food was pretty good for the area. They have a great beer selection. Open beer hall with lots of tvs, Michigan beer and Michigan beef. The servers are attentive and the bartender is quick and accurate with large orders. We had burgers, Parm fries and Mac & cheese. Great place! The food was excellent and the service was, too. The olive burger was especially good with lots of olives on it. The French dip was okay. It would have been better with a bit of horseradish, toasted bun and more flavorful au jus. The mac & cheese was so creamy and delicious - I would order it again in a heartbeat. For the beers, we had the Faustian bargain, which was quite rich and flavorful. The tiny taster size was just right, considering how rich this beer is. I forgot to take photos but the food and beer was fantastic! Our server (Jason, I think) was very nice and friendly, and also was able to suggest good food items to try and his favorite beers. In our party we enjoyed the cheese curds which were probably deep friend but didn't have a thick coating on them, instead they were light and airy! We also had the steak sandwich with added Swiss cheese (Jason's suggestion). The steak was cooked perfect for the sandwich! We also had the Real Reuben and really liked the flavors on this. I am completely disappointed with the food tonight. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and received a hamburger. Waitress mentioned there's no bacon and I said I yup not what I ordered. She brought back 2 slices of bacon but no cheese. She then brought that back so I put everything together and took a bite. I got a mouthful of crunchy dirt. I took the cheese off and one side was covered in what looked like dirt. She mentioned it's put on the flattop. Decided not to eat the burger and just finished my beer. We ate here on Friday December 3, 2021. This restaurant is awesome. My wife and I really were impressed. The space is large, warm, and extremely clean. The staff was friendly and did an overall excellent job. My wife had some kind of salad with fruit and nuts and a side of awesome perfectly prepared French fries. I absolutely enjoyed a perfectly cooked, and delicious 18oz T Bone. Possibly the best steak I've ever had at a restaurant. Most times when I've had a restaurant steak I leave unimpressed, feeling like I wasted my money. We came from New Boston Mi 2.5 hours away RJ try this steak and it was worth it. 100%. Wait: We were seated as soon as we walked into the main dining area. Atmosphere: Modern craft brew bar type atmosphere. There were tables, high top tables, a bar where you could sit and order drinks and an outdoor seating area. There were also some TV's with baseball games on. Service: Our server was great. She came up to the table less than a minute after being seating and took our drink orders. Once we got our drinks and had a minute to look at the menu we ordered. Again... the server was ready when we were. Food: I ordered the Cuban Sandwich. It was not the standard Cuban though as it came on Ciabatta bread. I don't think that made a great difference as the bread seemed fresh and didn't really detract from the sandwich. The pickles and sauce were really good and pretty much saved the sandwich as the pulled pork was somewhat dry. Overall: The place was nice, good atmosphere, solid service and pretty good tasting food. I'd go back again... but would probably order something else next time. read more
