This has to be the worst and most crooked body shop I have ever went to in my 40 years alive. They try and hammer your insurance company. They are a huge rip off. Scan artist. They give you an estimate and then they try to tell you it's going to cost more and that you should go Through insurance. They over estimate your car first, then they try and hammer away afterwards. When you say no, they steal a fee of 250 from you to get your keys then they pull your car up and leave ur bumper and parts on the street dispatched. It was a complete nightmare of an experience. DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give them 0 stars I would. This autobody is a scam. My boyfriend got into a small car accident a couple months ago and tried to resolve this situation without involving our auto insurance. We were told by the owners sister that this was totally doable and that the damage done to the other drivers car was miniminal. We were charged $900 and were told to pay in cash. We did not receive a receipt, as they gave us a "discount" for paying cash. When we went back we were told the damage was more serious than expected and that insurance would have to get involved. They refused to give us our money back and basically screwed us over. They should be investigated as they try and do things under the books and aren't transparent. read more

If I could give negative stars I would...STAY AWAY!!! I started this whole thing with a dented bumper that I had Allstate quote at $1200 with 7 hrs of labor and $600 in parts. I went to Barry's with the Allstate quote and asked them to fix my bumper. Three days later I received a supplemental estimate in the mail that Barry's/Allstate agreed on. It included over $2000 in parts (that weren't originally damaged) and 114 hrs of labor (totaling over $5000)...that's right 114 hrs of labor, for a dented bumper!!!! I promptly requested, in person, that they stop work on my car immediately. I called Allstate and expressed my concerns about insurance fraud. After a week of phone calls and emails they said the only thing they could do was a re-inspection after I received the car back. While, this is going on the Allstate guy is sending me pictures from the adjuster showing my car totally dismantled with damage that wasn't there when I dropped it off. At this point I called Barry's to get my car back and bring it to another repair shop. They proceeded to explain to me that the person I told to "stop work on my car," didn't have the authorization to do so. The following day I received a second supplement to the original estimate, totaling over $900, bringing the grand total to approximately $2500 in parts and $6500 in labor (now totally 130 hrs of labor for a dented bumper). I can't help but feel as though I was taken advantage of and defrauded. Unless you're benefitting from their scams...stay away!!! The estimate compared to my receipt had totally different thing!!! When i asked about the discrepancy i was told the adjuster from insurance company know they charge $95 an hour wrist up things needed to be added to estimate!!!! They are a bunch of crooks this company is indeed the reasons our rates are so high for automobile insurance!!! To top it off they charge for garbage to be thrown out and they left old parts in my trunk!!!! Stay far away from these crooks!!!! I brought my car there for an estimate they had me sign this piece of paper with all this legal stuff on it. Did not explain anything. It says on that paper that a written estimate should be attached but there was nothing. When they first looked at it they said it should cost around 1500 to fix. After talking to the adjuster the price jumped to 4400. When I said I wanted to pick up the car they told me they started to work on it all ready meanwhile the car was only there 2 days one of them being Sunday. I had to give these people 1800 to pick up my car unfinished. I also had to wait a week just to get that price because Barry Jr. had to go on vacation. Why not when he is getting moneyvfrom me for half a job I did not want him to do in the first place..He took advantage of a 70 year old man. Hope he chokes on the money. I later found out that Barry Sr, Barry Jr. and his sister Michele were all arrested in 2010 for insurance fraud. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO BARRYS. IN MY OPINION THEY SHOULD ALL BE LOCKED UP. Wow what they called me and said if I don't take this review down they're going to take me to court for defamation of character First of all in order to take some one to court for defamation of character you have to say things that are not true . Every thing I wrote is fact. Not only does Barry want to take my money he wants to take my freedom of speech away. I don't think so. I am highly disappointed I did not read the reviews for this place before coming here. Negative stars is more what this place deserves. The staff is extremely rude and incompetent. I had 3 small scratches I had wanted to get fixed.. and was quoted $150 to fix it plus $75 to mix the paint.. when going back to the shop to pick up my car(which they never call to tell u it's ready even after I asked if they could call me) it was clearly visible what an awful job they did. I spoke with to whom is the "co-owner" (Michelle) she came out to see what I was unhappy about but when I went to show her one of the other still viable scratches she just walked away from me and went inside.. she then persisted that if " I wanted it done right and painted without seeing scratches I would have to pay $900!" Ridiculous!! My car looks like someone took all of 10 minutes to put white out on my car, the edges still rough and blotchy no sanding of the area, nothing. She refused to meet any type of customer satisfaction and was the nastiest person I have ever meet.. the best part was as I am leaving to pay she had the nerve to scream to the other secretary " you know what she can't afford it just give her the keys" THATS HOW THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS!! read more

Nasty, snobs who talk to customers like garbage and forget to call when the cars done. They are the exact reason I refuse to enter businesses with that chamber of commerce sticker on the window. And all I had was a window replaced. First they tell me a couple hours. My car was there for 3 days. Still hear glass in the door a year later and it leaks. I got my car repaired here about ten years ago. They took over a month to fix it. They stored parts in it on the back seat causing dents in the leather. There were also many imperfections including several paint chips. They duck taped the bumper. Terrible! I didn't find this out until almost a year later. I should have filed a complaint with the city and possibly taken them to court. I had to pay $2000 to another body shop to fix their mess. I would not recommend this body shop at all nor will I ever give them additional business. read more

Not too long ago, I brought my car to Barry's because the car's paint had peeled in many areas but not all plus there was a minor "2 inch diameter bubbling of paint" at center tip of hood. Barry's rep went over everything - told me they would repair small 'bubbling spot on hood (sand out etc.) plus do thorough repaint job on entire hood, roof, and around door/window edges (inclusive of stripping down/priming/painting uses prime match to manufacturer's paint). When I picked up the car on a cursory glance, it looked good; however, when I got it home, I noticed that the bubble spot on the hood was still there! The paint was dripping down inside the car around door/window edge. On top of all this, when I went to get an oil change, the mechanic found rolls of masking tape, a glove and other things inside my engine!!! So, not only did Barry's not do the work that they told me they would do, they did a sloppy job. IF you go here, get everything little detail in writing because I just trusted the rep from what she said and how she noted everything on the order. I recall asking her why certain things weren't specifically stated and she said that it was 'understood/included in what was there." I knew that I'd get no where in fighting this since I trusted them to do what they said and to do a good job. Learned my lesson - research first, and get every detail in writing signed by authorized service rep before you agree to anything. This job was not cheap so I wasted my money. read more
