They refused shoe covers and walked with their shoes through the house, then tracked dust and carpet pieces throughout. They left water bottles, damage to the baseboards and walls. It felt like they were more in a rush to get done than to get the job done correctly. After discussing this with Jim, he wasn't phased by the issues and said we should have expected a little cleanup despite being told the installers would clean up after themselves. They were instructed to leave the old carpet for us to throw out, but they didn't bother to bag it up for trash. We paid $1500 for two rooms and I still had to do a lot myself. We wanted to support a local business but the whole effort was pretty average.
