We used Access Flooring to refinish our floors (sand and stain) to a new color. Peter was very knowledgeable about our existing wood floor material (mix of red and white oak) and suggested which color we should go with based on his experience. Per Peter's recommendation, we went with a natural Loba finish with whitener added. It turned our great and we love it! They even gave extra care and detail to the stairs and handrails, so they matched the floors. Communication was easy and he finished the job on time given our hard deadline for a move date. The only issue we had was waiting to get booked on his schedule, which he was more than willing to accommodate our preferred dates. read more

He used a stain product that is meant for Furniture not Floors. Another company has warned us that it will not hold up and I can always already see flaws left and right, including areas where he didn't even have his guy fill the space between the planks with filler. When reading the can of this cheaper product did he used, it was not the right one for floors. There was no discussion about quality of product. He just pick something from the local Home Depot that clearly was for Furniture. There's another can that mentions for Floors, but he didn't use that one such a pity. read more

Access flooring is phenomenal! I've used them for two projects. The first project was a few years ago in my home in Hoffman Estates. Installed white oak hardwood and luxury vinyl. Provided great insight on product and provide great contacts to get flooring material. My most recent project in Sept 2020, I had his team come and install laminate flooring in our Schaumburg condo. Provided all the paper work needed to get condo approval. Once again, provided another great source to buy material. Saved me more money compared to other quotes. I will let the pictures of the final product speak for me. I was told by the owner that this is what Swedish Finish looks like and after $1300 it looks like a linoleum floor instead of the expensive hardwood we paid for when the home was first built. Several swirl marks, drip marks, orange peel, and runs. I chose this company because of the Home Adviser website reviews. I tried to post this to there site and it never went through, which tells me that there reviews do not reflect all views. I even left them my phone number to verify my review and they never contacted me. When we have research available at our fingertips, sites need to do away with not allowing all information because now we are stuck with what we have. read more

Words cannot explain how happy we are with Access Flooring. When Peter came out to our house he used a laser measuring devise to accurately measure my project. Then I received a professional TYPED emailed quote from him that was more than fair. His price was not the highest and not the cheapest, but rather in the middle. As for getting the work done he was able to get my job completed so we could host Thanksgiving and still give plenty of time for the new wood to acclimate to the new environment. Our job took 5 full days of work. Our project was difficult because he had to interweave a new floor into an existing floor and make them both match. The floors match perfectly! At the end of every day, if Peter didn't visit the job that day, he would call me to check on the progress of the job and my current level of satisfaction. I found this to be very professional and very much appreciated. As for Peter's workers Dominik and Yuri, they were very courteous, on time and would answer any of my countless questions with a smile. Dominik, the main craftsman, almost made me feel like my floor belonged to him until it was done. He took such care as if it was his own. Only after he felt it was perfect did he give it back to me. Why can't other trades take this level of pride like Dominik. You would be lucky to get such a craftsman to work on your floor but I assure you Peter's other workers are amazing as well. They worked hard from 8-5 every day and at the end of each day they cleaned up so that we could exist in the house. However, I will tell you that when the staining and sealing was complete we did leave the house until the smell went away. All I can say is that as a home owner we always worry about being ripped off, shoddy work plus countless other concerns. Our experience with Access Flooring was fantastic and their quality of work is second to none. Another flooring company said that there were areas of our floor that would not be able to be saved. Very poor customer service. Not meeting appointment , not following through on estimate, unresponsive to homeowner for two weeks; ignoring texts and emails even though original communication was done in those mediums. Peter, the owner, has excellent ideas but is very frustrating to deal with. Does not seem like they need, want or have any interest in doing business. I truly dont know how companies like this can stay in business. Peter never requested I contact B&Z flooring after he was in my home and he exaggerated the time he spent at my home.
