Won't go anywhere else for flooring but Yonan! My hair stylist referred me to Dena here and I've been a convert ever since. First the variety is great and everything is high quality. I'm biased since I worked with Dena and Mossimo, but everyone here is great. Whether you are decisive like me or need help and guidance, Dena and Yonan will give you the white glove treatment. She has a great eye for design in general so that adds to the experience. Not to mention the level of service Yonan provides to its customers. This is the Mercedes of flooring. Dena helped with multiple projects spanning homes and rooms. She came out to measure with Mos and they were fast and efficient and a joy to work with. Every selection came as expected and installation was seamless and fast. I've bought carpet and area rugs and wouldn't hesitate to purchase other flooring here, they are my go-to. The bedroom carpet was so plush and high pile, which feels so great underfoot. Loved it so much we even made rugs out of the same Karastan carpet. Having pets means you need pet guard - they have so many to choose from. Everything in the carpet section is soft (I'm a freak and have to feel every one haha) and obviously chose the softest one. The number of stain guard options can't be understated - we have 2 dogs and went with ivory carpeting throughout. If one throws up, you wipe it with a wet cloth and it disappears. For the area rugs, they do different seams which Dena explained and sent photos for reference. Make sure to ask about them so you know exactly what you are getting. One is sewn onsite and the other is done at the warehouse, but they wear differently and one looks cleaner than the other. The new place needed custom runners and the guys were so good and made them onsite using crazy carpet tools and a sewing machine. They run the length of the place and even have a custom cut notch to match flow of the baseboards continuously. Custom looks like that aren't easy to do and these guys are pros. Makes a huge difference when your installers are top notch like at Yonan. Bottom line if you need any type of flooring and you want it done right, check out Yonan. They are wonderful in every way. Yes, the prices aren't the lowest. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. Customer for life. read more

I'de like to take a moment to thank Mr. Yonan, Dena Olsen, and the team at YONAN CARPET ONE . My wife and I went to Yonan Carpet One after having had horrible results with a flooring that we had installed 3 months prior by another company. The results from that experience was do mainly from the product we chose and the installation done. Needing help I went into the the Yonan Carpet One store in Rolling Meadows. My wife and I told Dena our troubles. Dena Olson helped us pick out a beautiful floor for our home. Specifically we chose Green Touch Vinyl Floor's Coffee Maple. It is deep and rich in both color and texture.This flooring has given our home a rich elegant feel that we have never experienced in any home we have ever had. It has changed everything in terms of the way we view and feel about our surroundings. My daughter Sarah came in and seeing it for the first time said wow. I asked her what do you think? She replied " It makes me feel like eating chocolate!". Its her way of saying it gave her a feeling of richness and comfort, like chocolate. Anyway back to Yonan and their wonderful staff. The installers came, removed the old (new old) floor that was such a disaster, and installed our new floor in in a single day. They were neat, methodical and meticulous in their work. The job was done in perfect fashion. One couldn't ask for more. When they left, they left us with a stunning floor. In summation I would say that First Mr. Yonan can be proud of his company and the people he has working for him, and secondly, Dena Olsen is a wonderful person who will help you figure out what you want and need and will do everything to make your experience putting in a new floor a comfortable and more importantly satisfying experience. Typically people only take time to write a review when things go bad, shout it from the roof tops. I would like to shout from the roof tops how smoothly our experience with Yonan Carpet went. Our salesperson Deena went above and beyond trying to help us find a carpet to fit our needs. Our first meeting we were greeted by Deena in the showroom with the friendliest smile and the warmest handshake. She had our file in her hand and was mindful of our insurance claim budget and directed us to the appropriately priced carpeting. Upon our reaction to the material, she asked if we would like to increase the budget in a respectful way allowing us to feel comfortable in the decision. She went on to explain the difference in product wear VS upgrade and what upgrade in padding could do for the life of the steps. Her knowledge was greatly appreciated. Once we narrowed the choices down Deena provided us with samples to take home and arranged for us to be able to drop the boards off at a closer location more convenient to us. Not yet sure I again called Deena and asked her if she wouldn't mind coming to our home again and help me narrow down my choices and see what she thought about my paint choices. She was happy to come again. Yonan Carpet is fortunate to have such a kind, dedicated employee such as Deena. Her dedication to her customer even on an in insurance claim is unprecedented. Furthermore, her knowledge of the product and the needs of the customer certainly should not be overlooked. As an extra bonus, Deena has a keen eye as an interior designer putting a project together. We had restoration done early January from a flooding issue in both main floor and basement. I was having trouble finding a close match in either laminate or luxury vinyl to our existing laminate flooring in an adjacent room. Until our contractor sent us to Yonan Carpet One in Rolling Meadows. I SO appreciate Dave's help and willingness to go the extra mile in finding a vinyl that was a great match! I am also chemically sensitive and have parrots whose respiratory systems cannot handle chemicals in the air. When I expressed my concern about potential outgassing from the carpeting, Michele made sure the carpeting we chose was allowed to out gas for almost a week in their warehouse. When the installers brought it in our home and installed it, there was no odor at all! I was thrilled! I SO appreciate both Dave and Michele for going above and beyond to accommodate our needs. So, very seldom have we used Yelp to make comments, but we have had several experiences with a very reputable company and one of their employees that has made this "Yelp" worth writing. Our experience with Yonan Carpets and their salesperson, Dena Olsen, had been, REPEATABLY, a delight. Dena "s attention to details is right up my alley. I, personally, am a perfectionist, so dealing with me is next to impossible.!! I have yet been able to "derail" Dena. She returns calls promptly and happily honors your requests. More importantly, Dena is an expert in her field and assists you in making great choices. Every project she has managed for us has been flawless. Dena at Yonan helped us choose which flooring to install in our basement family, laundry and utility rooms. She arrived with many samples of vinyl flooring and vinyl tiles and her knowledge and advice were much appreciated. The installation guys did a great job and the floors looked beautiful. They looked so good that they made the rickety old basement stairs look pretty horrible in comparison. So we called Dena again to get the stairs carpeted. Again she helped us choose just the right carpeting, the scheduling went smoothly and the installation job was perfect. There were messy gaps between the stair sides and the walls and the carpet guys were very skillful in disappearing them or minimizing them so that no one would notice. I cannot say enough good things about this organization. From start to finish there was nothing but caring concern and professionalism. First let me begin with the daunting task facing me over having to choose the color for my vinyl flooring. Sample after sample was made available, then came the task of matching carpet. Again, assistance until the perfect color was selected. Dena even went so far as to find color samples of my floors to make sure everything was perfect. The carpet was installed on the exact day and time that it was promised. I will refer anyone who is picky( like me). This is the place you want to go. One of our first dealings with Yonan Carpeting was over 30 years ago at their Oak Park location - and we were very satisfied. We recently purchased a new home in the northwest suburbs and we were delighted to see that Yonan now has a Rolling Meadows location. We had a small job ( 2 rooms ) and got quotes from the big TV advertising places and a local company - Yonan. We had the tear up done on one day ( along with 2 other rooms not to be carpeted ) and the install done on another day to allow us time to repair some walls and trim & clean. Both days the crew was fast, courteous, and didn't leave a mess. We chose Yonan because we try to support local business, but mainly because they were flexible with our project schedule. They were a little more expensive, and we paid for the two trip charges, but it was well worth it. Highly recommended. read more

Working with Dena Olsen was a fun experience that resulted in the bathroom of our dreams! We could not be more pleased with how the entire process worked out. She was extremely helpful in identifying specific tiles that met my desired outcome. Great experience in carpet repair work from sales and service coordinator Dena to the repair and follow up. Several years ago Yonan installed carpet in my basement and unfortunately I damaged a section. Dena was able to quickly locate my records and was able to find matching carpet and set up the repair appointment very quickly. The installers were excellent and the repair was virtually invisible; only because I knew where the repair was done could I find any sign of repair and that required really looking hard. I have shopped and purchased at Lowe's, Home Depot and Luna. Yonan had the best price and the most knowledgeable staff period. Nick knows all you need to know about floor coverings. If you want to waste your time at the the big boy place that know zero about this stuff go waste your time and money.
