This my newest ultimate favorite dry cleaners that I've fallen in love with this year. I found it randomly searching for a place that could alter the straps of my wedding dress. They had really great reviews to begin with for dealing with wedding dresses so I decided to give them a try. I coordinated to meet their expert tailor and she was fabulous and so helpful in customizing a look that would not diminish the overall look of the dress but just subtly tighten a mini strap at the back to shorten the length of my arm straps. It was tailored exactly as I hoped with minimal fuss and all the glory when I tried it back on. I was so happy with their tailoring g and cleaning of the dress before my wedding that I brought it back first them to have it cleaned and preserved for $350. It comes in a concealed and propped up box so that the dress maintains its quality over the years until I decide to use it again and/or maybe pass it down to my stepdaughter. We wanted to support a local dry cleaner and decided to give this place a try, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. Not only were the prices surprisingly high, but the quality of the service was very poor. Our shirts came back looking like they hadn't even been pressed, wrinkled and sloppy. I needed a blazer dry cleaned in a day. I called the business ahead of time and told them of my situation (my cream blazer had some staining from the color on my slacks). I was told that they wouldn't be able to tell me exactly how much it would cost until they saw how the stain lifted and how many cycles it would take. I was able to pick up my blazer the following day, 7 washes later, with no staining. The owner also pointed out that there was some slight staining on my sleeve that did not fade w the washes (the stain was not noticeable, but I appreciated the integrity of the owner, pointing this out). The total cost was below what the owner had initially quoted, as well. I will definitely be back with my subsequent dry cleaning needs! read more

I rarely write reviews, but feel compelled by my superior experience at Park Avenue Cleaners to share. I decided to try Park Avenue Cleaners after reading so many great reviews. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by the friendliest of owners and immediately made to feel welcome. He took the time to examine two shirts that I had stained and allowed to set for a long time and then subjected to a five-day drive in a car cabin that was constantly filled with cigarette smoke. His honest assessment was that he may not be able to completely get the stains out, but that he would spend extra time to do the best possible job. To my surprise, the shirts looked like new to me when I picked them up. By his very exacting standards, the most he would claim is that he did the best possible job, but I couldn't see how he could have done a better job. He saved two very expensive shirts that I thought I had lost permanently due to my negligence. He also fixed a sports jacket that a previous dry cleaner had pressed in such a manner that it looked like something from 1960s East Germany. He knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. And he did! On top of the fantastic job he did, he did not charge me for the extra time he spent on my badly-stained shirts! I have used dry cleaners all over the world and can honestly say that he is the best I have ever experienced. After witnessing this parking spot continue to be open for 30 minutes, I finally pulled in as I had 6 loads of laundry being brought out and there was no parking in the lot. After being parked for 2 minutes(sitting in the drivers seat with the car on while someone brought out my laundry) I then was confronted by the owner who HIT my car to get my attention three times and told me I was in HIS spot. I explained to him i haven't seen anyone pull in or out for the last 30 minutes and not to touch my car that hard and that I'd be gone in 1minute, there's NO parking in the parking lot, I have a broken foot and have someone bringing laundry out, he then proceeded to bump into my car again to go grab his phone and take a photo of my license plate and told me that he's calling the police and having my car towed. Funny part is I'm a customer of his (many times have my family and I dropped items off here) and I will now NEVER be returning. This guy was beyond rude and the fact that he hit the car the front of my car 3 times to get my attention was beyond disrespectful and uncalled for. I'll never recommend this man or his business. Update: after finding another parking spot 10 minutes later in the same lot, I've now been here another hour and the spot is STILL empty. read more

I came to Park Avenue Cleaners for a dress alteration. This is my first visit, and Ami greeted me with a smile even when I was still walking from the parking lot. I wanted to take a dress in on the sides and maybe shorten the length. Ami convinced me that the length of the dress is already perfect since I'll be wearing heels with it. He also said that it's better for my wallet if he just took in the dress from the back since it's a halter style. His honesty is refreshing because I was nervous about how much the alteration would be.
