Not sure why this place has 4 stars. The service was mediocre. The food was rather bland. The chili was full and the meat was just thrown on top. The Ceasar salad was quite large for a medium and had tomatoes on it which is unusual. The lettuce was turning orange. I was a disappointed given that M & M had 4 stars. read more

Our experience first started with slow service. After getting seated quickly and asked what we wanted to drink, it took 15 minutes to get anyone to come ask if we had ordered, and it was the hostess and not even the waitress. Then I got a coffee cup that looked like some else with lipstick had been drinking in it, and I got a less than enthusiastic response when I asked for another cup. The food wasn't bad but wasn't stellar either. The hostess was serving as a waitress also and the place wasn't that busy.... but she was nice and was the positive spot in our visit. We used to love breakfast here but since the new owners, it is a hit or miss. Can tell they are buyer cheaper ingredients and/or the cooks are different, making the food just taste ok. The bacon was real fatty, the butter they use on the toast tastes odd and whatever they cook the potatoes in gives them a bad flavor. The lunch and dinners seem to be better. read more

SWMBO (see previous review) and oldest son have been with me the last couple visits, and it's getting harder to contain their flailing utensils to their own plates. And the place is slammed most each time. With is WONDERFUL for them, but sucks for me. Darn myself for putting the 1st review out there. Great diner. We rushed in and told them we were in a hurry ( long story) and they stepped up to get us our food fast. And it was good food, ample portions, fresh ingredients, nicely prepared. I love this place, the owners are amazing. Everything I have ever had was great, staff makes u feel like family, no wonder they have so many regular customers. Prices are the cheapest around and the portions are large, Tina makes the best baklava, and spinach pie that I have ever had, and it's so hard to pick a dinner choice with all the homemade specials van makes from scratch. I don't know, the M & M Cafe might have good breakfast, but the dinner was terrible. Therefore, I will never get a chance to see what breakfast is like. I got the lamb chops and they were dry and not seasoned well. The menu said there would be onions and tomatoes. The were not included. The rice was stiff and dry. Worst than the food was the attitude of the management. No one seemed to care about my complained. I ate three bites and left the food on the table. I paid for food that was too horrible to eat. I am only giving one star because I did enjoy the hot tea that I got. The dinner services needs a total overhaul. read more

Ordered take out for Mother's Day breakfast and they gave us the wrong food and didn't notice until we got home. I understand people make mistakes but it's how you handle it! They didn't even apologize! My husband had to go back and to top it all off, they charged us for more than we ordered! We will never be back. A lot of other places to give out money to. read more

If you're looking for volume, quality and price, you've come to the right place. We started coming here a few years ago when my mother was in the independent living place down the street. Then we started going once a week. We live in Northville but drive to Canton because the food is consistently good. I've eaten here over 100 times and never had a bad meal. Large portions and very reasonable prices and very friendly wait staff. They have dinner specials every night from fish fry to lamb shanks (tender) to goulash, pot roast, turkey, you name it. They have great sandwiches and gyros served with a pile of fries that you won't finish. Salads are huge and the lemon rice soup is as good as that served in a Greektown. You get a free dessert as part of the dinner specials. I like the rice pudding which I always take home because I'm stuffed. The coneys and chili smothered are just like Lafayette downtown. This place is the best value for your money. You won't leave disappointed. My mouth starts to water just thinking about M&M Cafe. read more

We love this place, especially for breakfast! Portions are generous and it's decently cheap. Everything is always clean. The only downside is that there's not much room to wait at by the door to be seated or cash out - it's a very small restaurant, but it's always busy. My favorite is the Monte Carlo sandwich. First time visit was more than disappointing. Went for late breakfast, early lunch. Scrambled eggs were runny and pancakes were chewy. I asked if I could order something else when I didn't care for my food. I was only given a blank stare. Finally she offered to bring me another plate of eggs and pancakes. Second plate tasted the same. I pushed plate to edge of table. Also... I was charged an extra $2 when my daughter requested strawberries and whipped cream on her kids breakfast. My son ordered hamburger and fries. Neither were good. Waitress took my bill and returned with it unchanged...she told me they would adjust it when I cashed out. My bill was discounted $1!... I questioned their customers satisfaction and I was told their prices are the best and their customers love their food. Terrible!...I have NEVER been served such unappetizing food and paid for it. I do not understand the people waiting to be served at this place. Sure, it's inexpensive....but why pay anything for food that's awful and poor customer relationships.??!! read more
