We came on lunar new year for dim sum because we did not want to drive down to Chinatown. We made a reservation for 6 and a toddler. Food was great but it took at least 45 min to come out. Granted the place was packed and we ordered A LOT, we saw other tables that were seated after us receive their food before us. It would have been nice if we were served a few dim sum dishes as they were prepared. Also a bit pricey, but again, we ordered a lot and the food was good. Would recommend if you want to avoid the hassle of going to Chinatown and if you go on a quiet day, but next year we will opt for the more inconvenient option for faster service. A great place for Dim Sum in the burbs. I only tried a few things ( crispy dumplings & shrimp shumai) but I will definitely be back for more. I have never found a place outside of Chinatown that makes my fav the crispy dumplings. Very doughy but the meat portion was plentiful compared to the dough. The shumai reminded me of the kind I love eating in NYC. The next visit, I need to bring my parents who grew up in NYC. They will be the best critics. Had a wonderful late lunch here last week. I appreciated the kind and attentive service (several workers wanted to be sure that I knew what I was eating, which I did), and the dim sum was delicious. I way over-ordered knowing that I could bring home the leftovers and I wanted to try a range of dishes. Especially loved the duck bao sandwiches and the crispy taro dumplings. Chaozhu dumplings and gingery chicken buns were both the best I've had since a memorable meal in Toronto years ago. I do love restaurants with the carts, but in this situation it was nice to be able to pick all of my favorites off the menu. Will definitely return with a bigger group to try more dishes! read more

2.5 star dim sum honestly from people who say it's better than nyc or Philly dim sum is just out of their minds. We went lunch time Sunday should be the busiest and "freshest" time for any authenticate dim sum place. The place was packed, but really it's more like service was just non existent. There was just literally like 1 person/waiter serving an entire restaurant. Kind of felt bad too the cashier was running around trying to figure tickets/serving/cleaning/everything nobody knew what was going on. Probably the most chaotic service I've ever witnessed. Think it took like 25 minutes before we even got our tea and I still never got any water at the end, nobody ever came to check up on us. Minus 1 star on service. I would be like that's fine if the food was fantastic but unfortunately no. I eat dim sum all the time originally from flushing ny so I think I'll know a good dim sum when I taste one. We ordered $100 of dim sum/food. Dim Sum Food Review below: Chicken feet - sauce is too sweet, chicken feet pretty bland, it should be cooked softer Crispy Tofu- sour tofu think it went bad also the skin is not crispy too much corn starch taste like soft oily dough Bean Curd Skin Roll - the filling tasted like the same as the soup dumpling(which is not a good thing) there should be bamboo shoots, the skin should be thinly layer taste why is this tasting like a pork bun? Also lack of sauce, quite weird and I've eaten a lot of these before in dim sum. Spare rib with black bean sauce-Tasted like bones and fat, hard to chew it should actually be soft, tasty and should have a fragrant taste of black bean. Neither of which I tasted much of. Also was microwaved, bad idea you steam microwave gives it a dry taste with meat. Soup dumpling - thick dough, lukewarm, not much soup, any soup dumpling not hot is not great Shrimp Sumai and Shrimp Rice Rolls- The shrimp was fresh, they were actually pretty decent no complaints except not hot. Egg tarts - actually good texture I would've really liked it if it wasn't cold. Never had dim sum cold egg tarts before, usually warm and flaky. Pan fried rice noodles with beef- Probably worst thing so far besides the sour tofu. Basically the dish requires pan frying or wok fry the thin egg noodles to crispy. Then you make a good sauce and pour it over. In our case they put too much corn starch got clumped into the beef basically ended up with a thick paste vs a sauce that ended up making it like eating hard crunchy noodles and thick paste beef. Never had such a weird combination. Must be more watery for noodles to absorb. Salt and pepper baked squid- probably one of my favorites since the squid tasted fresh and clean. The also used good mixes of fried shallots and hot pepper with good season. Only thing is it got deep fried too much it tasted oily and soft plus not hot. I took it home air fried it tasted much better. Minus 2 stars. Overall it's unfortunately since I really wanted to like this place. The main issues is their lack of employees, inefficient delivery system makes for a weird situation of food sitting out and you getting luke warm dim sum(which is never good). Imagine eating at a ramen shop with cold/warm soup. Their food is also subpar, some things could been better. I would just stick with my local Philly dim sums at this point but I guess if you're in KoP and have no choice maybe they cater to locals. My only advice is if they want to do dim sum do it proper, your menu is like 8 pages of items, HK bbq, dim sum, teas, etc for a small restaurant. Cut the menu and focus on some parts instead of all it'll probably help the chefs have more time to make better food. read more

Happy this place is here. I wouldn't say it's as good as Philly Chinatown dimsum but I'd say 3-4 out of 5 small plates were spot-on and authentic. In general, I like the cart system better since I can point to exactly what I want - I have a terrible time picking from a menu for some reason - and maybe it's partly the nostalgic experience I'm after. Anyways, my favorite was ironically the plain congee I ordered for my toddler, but it hit the spot of feel-good. My toddler loved just about everything she ate though and my husband (who is meh about dim sum) told me their large pork bun deserved an award, haha. I think I miss the more exotic dishes (conch, quail, clams?) that I see in Philly, but again, it could have been due to the time I went (weekday, late morning) and not seeing it on the menu right away since we were tired and hungry. I would come back though. That drive and parking into Philly with a toddler is just sometimes not worth it. Thank goodness for good choices! read more

Overpriced. The value and quality of the food are NOT equal to the price. Ordered take-out for Stir Fry Rice Noodles with Beef for $22, small box, noodles stick together and some of them are not cooked enough. Ordered Roast Pork Bun, the bun is big as about 4" but the filling inside is smaller than a golf-ball. Ordered bubble tea $6, the bubbles are hard, not soft, not chewy. The bubbles taste like they have been refrigerated for several days, not fresh at all. I ended up just throw it out. I've had bubble tea for more than 40 years, this was the worse bubble tea I've ever tasted. read more

Terrific Chinese restaurants are hard to come by and this is it! Our family had a favorite Chinese restaurant that went out of business during Covid. I kept trying new places that were disappointing. Then I noticed this new dim sum and Hong Kong barbecue restaurant in the location of an older Szechuan place in Paoli, Pa. Ratings were good so we checked it out. M&M is better than the ratings. I think it's Cantonese and authentic enough to be a bit of an adventure with each visit. We had a big crowd come with 11 people and ordered tons of dim sum and dishes. Everything from spicy cucumber salad, soup dumplings, chive dumplings was great. Even the simple dishes like chicken lo mein were great. We have finally found a great Chinese restaurant for the family. read more

Fast food quality. If you're looking for good, authentic Chinese food or dim sum, keep looking. Despite being more expensive than most places I've been to in SF and NYC, the dim sum here looked and tasted frozen. As for the other dishes, the portions were small and the chef was heavy-handed with the sugar. The only thing worse than the food was the service. My elderly mother asked the waiter what the specials were and he told us to get up and look. If it was a busy time I'd understand, but we went on a week night and there was only 1 other table in the entire restaurant. read more

Really the best dim sum outside of Center City. Reasonable prices, good food and easy parking make for a very good experience.

We had the roast pork that was extremely dry and overcooked. The vegetables were bitter and bland. We had a roast pork steamed bun that had disgustingly sweet meat inside and the dough was not cooked completely took two bites too make sure could not get the taste out of my mouth. A few other items where just average at best. Do not waste your time and money better dim sum for less money elsewhere. read more

Ok update - dim sum gets 4/5 stars for authenticity but I just realized their non dim sum menu is even better! I am talking about NYC Chinatown good minus the 2 hour drive. We swung by on a weeknight for dinner. I spoke to the manager (we call him lo baan in Cantonese) and he gave us excellent recommendations. The snow peas was so pleasant and fresh. The chow haw fun was light and crispy, and thankfully they were able to accommodate to my less onion/scallion situation, and their clay pots (we got fish and beef tendon) were divine! I wish I knew the beef had some anise as I'm not its biggest fan but it was good. The fish clay pot - OMG, I would order this back in the days and it would be all slimy (don't yuck my yum) but this place delivered on crispy and freshness on levels I've only tasted back on Hong Kong/China. I can't believe we were missing out of this! Highly recommend - and speak to the manager if you ever have questions/recs for the menu .. he's incredibly friendly! read more

Came here on Labor Day weekend for some Dim Sum because I missed it after moving here from California's 626 area. The Dim Sum here definitely reminded me of the restaurants that my family would often go to in California and Hong Kong. My fiance and I ordered a large variety of their Dim Sum such as the crystal shrimp dumplings, braised chicken feet, shumai, pan fried radish cakes, custard buns, etc. and everything was wonderful! We also go their HK milk tea and I loved that they let us put our own sugar in to adjust for sweetness. I liked that their milk tea actually tasted like tea, unlike many Americanized milk tea places that just taste like milk and sugar or syrup. The service was also impeccable and everyone was so friendly and nice to us while we were there. I had accidentally spilled water on myself and the waiters actually apologized for the mess when *I* was the one that should have apologized for getting their table wet! I would definitely come back again! I can't wait to try out the rest of their menu. It's literally one of the only places that reminds me of anything remotely close to authentic HK food. Anyone that's planning on going to the restaurant, be sure to allocate appropriate time because the restaurant is quite small and since they're newly opened, I think they're still getting used to the amount of orders/people eating there. I'm incredibly disappointed at this establishment. We waited for 40 mins just for some cold greasy buns. I had high hopes for this place but the standards here are just terrible. We waited a good 10 minutes for a teapot. The other table around us got their food like in 20 minutes while we waited nearly double to triple the time we had to wait. I think the Lotus Leaf sticky rice may have been cross contaminated because it had a fish taste to it or they added fish oil to it. I lived in Toronto and had been to Hong Kong many times and I know what dim sum tastes like and it doesn't taste like that. The Shu Mai was my favorite part of dim sum but this place, it tasted like it was frozen. In fact I believe at least 80% of the food my family was served was frozen. In fact the Egg Custard buns were exactly the same one's I purchase from the super market. The only redeeming quality to this abysmal lunch was the duck and it was fatty and delicious. I will maybe come back at a later date to update this review in the near future. Also the owner is a pretty cool guy and was very apologetic for the slow service. Authentic HK style dim sum, just opened Aug 2021. Only tried takeout so far, but of the 10+ dim sum dishes all were good. Excited to try dine-in soon, renovated interior looks nice. Big char siu bao was best we have had at dim sum. All the classics- siu mai, har gow, lo bak go, etc - all solid. HK milk tea was perfect. Honestly, the dishes were a little bit salty. The wait time was long. Meanwhile, a very individual service person's behavior seemed really weird and disgusting. That person was kind of neurotic during the whole service and laughed at the customer like a inferior villain in a movie. Neither, any common customer didn't need that person to teach to how to pay the bill. Just don't understand why that person was so excited to guide a customer to do these simple actions. Showing off being more familiar with the paying a meal bill steps? Really weird. I thought to give ZERO tipping for that meal. But after one second, I paid standard 15% just for the other service staff who were professional and deserved the tips. Sorry for the restaurant owners. Good was great and the guy who helped us was awesome. We got to hear all about growing up in 1960s-1970s China and how his food is based more on that then what we get at other dim sum places. First, let me say that the food itself is okay. Nothing terribly wrong with the food except most of it came out lukewarm instead of hot, and the pork soup dumplings were pretty dry, with minimal soup inside. It wasn't the food that the was the main problem, though. It was the horrible overall experience. We went in on a Sunday around 4:00pm. The place was 100% empty except for us and the waitstaff. Therefore, there was NO reason to rush us. First of all, we'd never been there before and had no idea what their selection of dim sum was like. My husband sat down and I went to the bathroom. When I returned, my husband had an annoyed look on his face. "What's wrong?" I asked. He said "the waiter just strongarmed and bullied me into ordering a pot of tea and wouldn't even wait for you to come back." So apparently the waiter was aggressively pushing the menu in his face and repeatedly asking him what kind of tea he wanted and refused to take no for an answer. My husband picked a tea which I don't even like, and we hadn't even been planning on ordering tea! So then the waiter returns two seconds later with the tea, and just as I was picking up the menu to see what they have, he barks, "okay what do you want?" I was like, "uhm I have no idea. I just started looking at the menu." The waiter then proceeded to hover over us, staring at us about inch away, while I tried to read the menu. He then repeatedly kept asking every few seconds, "did you decide? Did you decide?" So my strategy was just to refuse to look at him and keep my eyes on the menu. However, it was so uncomfortable that I couldn't even focus on the choices because he was breathing down our necks, literally standing right over us. He then roughly yanked the menu out of my hands, slammed the menu down on the table, started tapping at it with the pencil and loudly proclaiming, "you pick! You pick!" and showing us how to mark the dim sum selections. We are already well aware of how to order dim sum, and have done so at Tom's and Dim Sum Mania in Media, Dim Sum Garden, and many other places in Philly. However, those places actually let you READ THE MENU before ordering. Since he would not allow us time to actually read the menu, I sort of just randomy put check marks next to a few things on the paper menu, but there were many pages of the regular menu that I never got to see, since as soon as I marked a few things on the paper menu, he roughly grabbed both menus out of both of our hands and stomped off. It was seriously so ridiculous. Again, we were the ONLY CUSTOMERS. There was NO reason for him to behave in this manner. If you're thinking of going there for a leisurely and relaxing dinner, think again! Another note on the food: there are no sauces on the table, and they were very stingy with the sauce they did give. One tiny dish of spicy dumpling sauce for everything. The chicken dumplings were also dry, and almost nothing was actually hot. We were in an out in about 30 minutes. They were very friendly and accommodating for our party of 11. Everything on the menu looked so good that it was hard to choose. We ordered both dim sum and regular luncheon dishes. We were right - everything was delicious! Standouts were the fresh and warm red bean buns, the flavorful duck sandwich, and the General Tso chicken that had just the right amount of spiciness for us.
