Great staff! very helpful and their prices are reasonable old games are hard to come by so worth it

Hi everyone, M and M games is a sick as fuck little shop, people are always bitchen about the prices but really they aren't bad at all, I've bought rare ass rouge trip for PS1 that I couldn't find anywhere even on EBay and only bought that motherfucker for 5 Bucks! Same wit muthafucken twisted metal 4, I bought a used Ps2 also and not gunna lie the thing played the games I needed it to but it didn't read DVDS, so I took it back and no questions asked Mike was very helpful and just replaced the whole unit with another PS2 and tested it in front of me to reassure a peaceful state of mind and the customer service and integrity with this business is TOP NOTCH, they treat you like a friend not a customer and they won't let you leave unhappy. I've came to this place a couple of times now...I used to go to game stop down the street...friendly staff..short guy was working there name Mike..Found out he was the owner..Very knowledgeable unlike game stop...the guy was pretty honest...I spent less money in doing so..Anyways, the guy answered all my questions and actually gave me a discount..He said he had the shop for over 20 years and is about relationship building...Old school shop with old values...I like that much better..Also, found out game stop was ripping me off...Definitely have any and all games you can think of..alot of used games....Will definitely recommend everybody to go here..Ask for Mike..He's the short guy..I don't think you can miss him.. read more

Been here a few times. Bought a few PS1 and PS2 games. Great selection of classic games and modern games. Clean establishment and all merchandise is well organized. The employees are professional, helpful, but not as talkative as other shops. I suggest you stop by offten because they are always adding inventory. read more

Great experience don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the atmosphere & everything. The person who was helping me, might have been the owner not sure, he was showing me games & having a good chat on video games & consoles. I found a bag with Japan/Chinese import games. Some had 5 bucks on them & others weren't priced. I picked up a game & saw it was sorta like a knockoff version of Castlevania with KoF characters so, thought it was cool. Previously asked what were the prices & he said & I quote, "Don't know, these are imports might not even work." So I saw the bag on the floor, I wanted to take it. Picked up another game for about $40 dollars & was planning on taking this Chinese import & when he saw I was interested he said the game was $20. I was curious on how he priced it & what the price was based on. Felt like he was pressuring me on buying it at a price that he felt was correct but, when googling it, the cartridge sold for less than $5 bucks. Good experience till the end I guess. read more

This isn't the place to go if you know exactly what you're looking for. They are really helpful in finding something that you're looking for as their knowledge of games seems pretty strong. The one major downfall of this place is that the prices just aren't competitive to Amazon and Ebay. I understand they're a business and need to make a profit, but they need to be realistic. Anyone who goes into this store knowing full well what they can get for the game online will not buy anything here. For example, Crash Bandicoot goes for about 18 dollars complete in box on amazon, while here, they're charging 25 dollars for the disc only. Not only that, but from what I saw, the disc wasn't in great condition. I went in yesterday for the first time to get a SNES controller and it was $20, which is a fair price. So, it seems that it's hit or miss here. Just be informed before making any purchases from M&M Games. Today, I went in to sell some off the wall unpopular games just because I would actually lose money selling them online after shipping. So, I told the guy working there that I have some off the wall games and I wanted to see what I could get for them. This guy really isn't a business man. He tells me, "are you ready to hear what I'll give you" and I said yeah and he said "10 bucks, that's the best I can do" and I didn't react or anything I just said for all of them? and he said "yeah, you only have one good game here" and I said I understand that, that's fine, I wasn't getting upset or anything, and all he did was keep trying to convince me that I only had one game. I understood that from the second I walked in the door. I wasn't getting upset or anything. It was very strange and he was being a bit passive aggressive for no reason. read more

Mike is a psycho. he used to own a store in Murietta. My daughter won and Xbox One with a game. we took it to his store in Murietta never opened never used. The manager offered us $700 in store credit. we asked about everything before we agreed to the deal. because the Xbox one was so new and hard-to-find they told us we could use the credit at both stores Upland and Murietta and we could use it on new and used items. we got a few small items that day in the Murietta store but we were waiting to see if they got a Wii U in that we could purchase with the in-store credit. Then Mike decided to sell his Murietta store and decided that my gift card was no longer valid. I talked to him on the phone and told him I would like to try to work something out because if he did not honor the gift card I was going to take him to court. I told him that we would settle for buying only used items with the gift card. he was supposed to call me when he got used 3DS in. he didn't call instead, I had a call him I spoke to his brother and his brother told me I had a call back when Mike was back in town. that week my husband went to pick up the 3DS in Upland. Mike then decided to take an extra $150 off of the gift card because of the money he is losing on this deal. i'm really not sure how my daughter is supposed to pay for this man's business losses. my husband mentioned something about it at the time but we have been very busy with dealing with personal issues and I didn't get a chance to call him. I figured since I gave him my phone number several times he could call me. I finally got a chance to call him today. when I called Mike he yelled at me he cussed at me he told me to go ahead and take them to court because he is never going to let me use that gift card and he doesn't give a crap about my daughter or what happened because he thinks since he sold the Murietta store that his gift card is no longer valid. I will be taking him to small claims court shame on him from stealing from my daughter who gave him a brand-new Xbox one in exchange for a bunch of used old games. take your business elsewhere! read more

This place is a fucken joke! Do they have a variety of games? You bet your ass they so! But they're fucken expensive af!! Marvel vs capcom 2 with a fucked up box and bet scratched $120! Wtf do you mean $120? Yeah its a rare game but not $120 worth! I got it on ebay for $36 thirty fucken six! No scratches mint box AND manual! This place is fucken wack they might as well be a pawn game store! They will low ball you like crazy! Reason why they are still in business is because dumb ass people let their emotions of childhood get to them! And so they are willing to over pay! Don't get me wrong I BUY GAMES FOR MEMORIES AND FUN TIMES but I will NOT overpay when there are other options! Does this thing go lower than 1 star? The only positive for this place is if you want a new game before street date. I have given this shop several chances to redeem themselves and they have disappointed every single time. Most recently I picked up an Atari 2600 and was looking to get games. When I wanted to look at the games the employee told me, very rudely, I had to look at their pile of unorganized nonsense over the counter. I made arrangements with the owner to go behind the counter to inspect their collection. Every single one of the games was coated in dust and very apparently not taken care of. I was able to find 12 games that were salvageable out of about 100+. After sitting behind their counter with no assistance, and a seller uninterested in my business, I was told that I had to come back another time to get a price for these games as he had to do his research. You have GOT TO BE KIDDING! Do yourself a favor and let these people go out of business! If you want to get games before street date there are better options and these people seem to be in it strictly for the money. In another instance I was interested in a game called Ghosts n' Ghouls for the SNES. It was on their "unpopular" shelf but was priced at 15$. I asked if he would let it go at 10$ and he said no because SNES are popular and rising in price... fair enough. So I asked him to look at the several copies he had and on the back I saw an old price tag for $9.99! Just cause you put a price tag on something doesn't mean that is what it is worth! read more

went there the other day looking for a memory for my 360 slim and they guy working there i think was just on the phone, so after his 15-20 minute talk he walks behind the counter to go on his laptop.. never greeted me or asked if i needed assistance. seriously if you're running a business greet your customer and ask if they need anything... if you like being ignored and overpaying and rudeness then this is your gaming store.. 1 star if i could do half a star i would. not recommended. just go to gamestop.... read more

Thought they gave good prices when bringing games here. Lol I was wrong. Brought in Guitar Hero Live PS4 almost new with 2 guitars and they offered me 30 even tho they would go and sell it for about 85 to 90 dollars, I payed 115 for it. Brought in an almost new PS4 controller, Evil Within and Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse. Offered me 33 total for everything. What a joke. I thought they did better than Gamestop but not true. Went to Gamestop and got 48 for everything. Better than 33. Wack ass store that isn't any better then Gamestop. read more

We take our grandsons to this store on a regular basis, Mike and Mat are always very patient with the boys as they ask a million questions. M & M has a great selection of gaming devices at good prices, do believe the negative reviews, this is a great store. The owners are honest, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The people working here are very knowledgable and kind, any bad review below is just a disgruntled ex employee. Grow up and find a hobby other than bullying business owners on Yelp. My wife and i wanted to hit up all the video game stores in the area while we where on our way back to fresno from frank and sons..since being a big time game collctor i googled and seen this place so thought id give it a shot...first thought was WOW a big collection of retro games and consoles which i love ..man o man they had it all all the nintendos and segas just an amazing number of games.....but the downfall the prices are wayyyyyyy over priced yes i understand the store needs to make profit but when you are pricing the items off of ebay prices that doesnt work....sad to say if u go to other places like pixels vault, lost levels and belive it or not even frank n sons where cheaper than this place..when i was leaving i thought maybe they have all those awesome retro games and consles because they prices are toooo high to sell....not hating on the store just my 2 cents ....its a very coool place just dont expect good prices read more

Worst place ever! Don't go. Bought an xbox and it broke first day. Wanted to test it out before exchanging it for a working one, so it froze in front of their manager and than he said "we are going to replace it with the newer version" my question why did they sell me the broken and old one in the first place.... 1 and a half months pass by and this one gets the red ring of death... this place is a ripoff i asked the guy how much the ps2 is he said 49.99 i said is that how much they are and he said yeah thats the minimum. and i said well thanks anyways, then he said how much did you think they were and i said 30 dollars maximum and he said he sold some dude a broken ps2 for 20 and i left. he was very rude and i used to come there a lot and i spent like 300 dollars there . screw this place, don't go there . this place doesn't even deserve a star. read more

Bad customer service, Over priced games, i walked in after a customer had walked out and the employee said "i hope that guy dies in a car accident on his way home." I was awestruck that someone would wish death on a customer just because he didn't purchase anything. I also traded in 15 DS games and 2 3DS games for an open copy of Pokemon X but before walking out i opened the box to find it was empty, he swore the game was in the box but i told him to check the security cameras and he ended up giving me a sealed copy. If i had walked out without checking the box there would be no way he would have believed me. Don't get me wrong, they are convenient but over priced and very rude. They also don't carry any PC games or accessories. And stated that PC gaming "isn't the way to go" i plan to shop online for vintage games now, because M&M games isn't as trustworthy as an online source. 0/5 stars . read more

this place is a big big BIG time rip off i went in there brought in some good games tales of symphonia for the gamecube zelda mario party paper mario good games at that time i needed the money badly and didn't really pay attention to what i was doing and wasn't focused but those games are worth some good cash he told me all those games worth nothing there going to sit on his shelf for months upon months and that not allot of people want those games anyhow i told him i need money cause i was broke and didnt even have anything to buy food he gave me a total of 60 bucks for about 15 games i was able to at least get food and survive the rest of the week didnt have a job at that time and was in a tough spot had no time to negotiate i really wanted those games back so when i came back to the store i went in and saw that he was selling all the games i had given him to the front of the shelf displays for about 50 bucks a pop what a complete asshole.... read more
