You need these clothes in your life! I'm sadly heading back to the office but for an upgraded position, which means I needed an upgraded wardrobe. Right now they are open by appointment only, and it was easy to schedule through the website. I have never done a fitting with a stylist before and it's about darn time. Faymi was great to work with! She provided good suggestions and methodically helped me work through the collections to narrow down my top picks. It was amazing because many of the pieces I wouldn't have given a second look on a rack and yet they looked great when I had them on. She helped me make outfits out of the pieces that were most complimentary for my body. She also set my expectations--they have pieces in their showroom that are samples, so not all colors are available in all sizes, which means that the majority of my purchase was going to be shipped to me. The clothes themselves are high-quality--most of the fabrics have a buttery feel. And I love that the clothes all have stretch, are wrinkle-resistant, and machine washable! Pro tips: 1. The entrance is actually through the building (not the accessible ramp that looks like a door). Ring 100 and they will buzz you in. 2. Bring your favorite shoes (and shape wear) you plan to style with the outfit with you!

With an upcoming high-profile event on the hill rapidly approaching, I had two options: venture into Nordstrom Rack or Saks Off Fifth and search endlessly for hours trying to find outfits that worked for each day of the event, eventually collapsing into exhausted, frustrated tears - or let someone else do all the work for me. I opted for the latter. As someone who loves fashion, this is something I wouldn't regularly do; the hunt is part of what makes the perfect outfit so satisfying, and I typically don't want or need any help finding something to wear. But, we're all human, and sometimes we just don't have the energy for all that. In my case, I'm currently at a size I'm just not comfortable with or used to being at, so shopping isn't fun for me at the moment - especially when it's for a super important event. Just do it for me. Please. Cue MMLa.Fleur. You make an appointment ahead of time and fill out a form describing your event, size, etc. When you arrive, they offer you a glass of prosecco, gather more specifics of what you're looking for re: color and style, then they pick out stuff for you to try on. From my stylist's selection, I found two dresses and a "jardigan" that worked within maybe twenty minutes. In the end, I only got one of the dresses and the jardigan because the total price tag for the three would have been $600+, which seemed unnecessary to spend on a two-day work event. But it was fine because the single dress I bought is simple enough that I can just acessorize it differently two days in a row and be good. MM.LaFleur has an aggressive marketing approach with paid ads on social (isn't that how we all learned about them?) and as someone in marketing myself, I pay attention to taglines... which is why I have to take a minute to discuss one of their favorites, "Your clothes should be the least interesting thing about you." I'm gonna be real here - if you regularly outfit yourself with MM.LaFleur, your wardrobe will absolutely be the least interesting thing about you, lol. They're not wrong. Their items are extremely classic and definitely perfect for the hill, but they're not exciting or creative in any way, which is why I can't give a five. Unless you have an extraordinarily uptight job (and life), you should probably not get ALL of your clothes here. But in any event, I'm really happy I chose to trust them with outfitting me for this upcoming event. My appointment couldn't have gone more smoothly.

Poor quality and hideous styles. Stop with the advertising. Don't waste your money on cheap fabrics.

Whew weeee!! This…read morelocation was something to talk about. I have been dying to get in this place for years but always on a tight schedule to get elsewhere. This was a Lion and Tigers and Bears OH MY situation! It's quite crowded in here. Not cluttered but crowded. They have soooo much stuff and it's all in order. This place could be 2-3 floors easy!! I saw all of my fav brands at great prices. They have a huge selection of high-end wear for a great price. They have a huge selection of summer, spring and winter wear. The cosmetics and body care... chef's kiss!! They have everything in every color/ scent/ size!! Cool accessories, luggage galore, etc. I did not take a gander at the shoes as I had a show nearby to attend. I bought 2 gorge blouses and a short sleeve loose fitting denim blue top. I will revisit very soon for some more shopping greatness.

Lots of great "stuff" and finds....if you have the patience to look around and dig for it…read more This Nordstrom Rack is loaded with brand name products, designer clothing, jewelry, household goods and all at decent prices. The only gripe I have specifically with this location.....is that it is waaayyy too cluttered-- overstocked with just stuff everywhere! And, let's talk about organization to make things easy to find....forget it. It sort of reminds me of Filene's Basement (on Connecticut Ave) from back in the day or a " sub high-end" Thrift store. If you park on the street nearby this store, you better load up your parking meter to the max.... Because you're going to need the time to roam around this place. Note: There is no parking lot or garage..... so you don't want your parking meter to expire because we all know parking tickets in DC is like paying rent or the amount of a one night hotel stay. lol Other than this, not a bad shopping experience here. There's something for everyone when it comes to looking for bargain clothing that's from designer labels and semi on trend. One plus I will say about this Nordstrom Rack location, is that they carry a large selection of men's business and casual clothing. This location carries tons of business suits, dress shirts, ties and business casual slacks-pants. I think the reason for this is because this location is centrally located in the downtown DC area and business district that is primarily surrounded by law offices, lobby firms, consulting firms and federal government agencies. You often don't find this at a lot of Nordstrom Rack and bargain clothing, places like Marshall's/TJMaxx around the DMV. There are also tons of men's athletic shoes, casual sneakers, great running shoes and dress shoes. In all, you can't go wrong shopping here. Although, the Pentagon City location is more my speed. This location is not all bad. Lots of good finds and decent customer service. Just have a little patience and time to roam around this treasure trove!

I love stopping in at 3 Sisters (you guessed it, actually owned by three sisters). It's a two-level boutique of fashion for women that ranges from accessories to formal wear and everyday wear. The items they curate are stylish, timeless, and lovely. They've got something for everyone. The prices are incredibly affordable. I mean it's a boutique with a luxury feel in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the country and you can walk out paying the same prices you would at a big box place like TJ Maxx. The difference is that at 3 Sisters you're getting personalized service and higher quality items while supporting a local, women-owned business. Love, love, love.

If you're looking to add a couple staples to your wardrobe, but this would be a cute place to stop at if you happen to be in the area. The pricing was actually pretty reasonable. The were some items that were a little bit higher than I would have normally spent if I was purchasing anything. I also noticed their sizes did not really go past extra large. There may have been a stray XXL, but I don't really recall. So I'm not sure it's plus size friendly in the long run. When we walked in, we were not really greeted and nobody really helped us the entire time we were in the store walking around. It did not give me warm fuzzies.
