Preciado replastered my pool with a Pebble Tech finish and installed new tile. It looked great and was completed very quickly once they started. My only complaint is when they repaired cracks a few years later those areas don't match the original plastered areas. One repaired area is darker and another is lighter. I also wish they had told me that their work was not warranteed against cracks coming from the structure underneath. read more

After being referred to them by my neighbor who used them 10 years ago and his pool still looks brand new, I had them come over and give us an estimate. Angel was wonderful to work with. He always responded to calls and explained things so I could understand what was being done. I wasn't the easiest client to deal with, but he always did what he could to keep me happy. I had to change the schedule several times and he was agreeable every time. His guys worked fast and did a good job. Unfortunately the concrete coping developed cracks in a bunch of placed and I didn't accept the work. We had a wonderful experience with M. Preciado Pool Plastering. Our field agent and sales rep was Angel Gonzalez and he was wonderful. He answered all our questions and whenever we had a question we would call his cell phone and he always called us back in a timely manner. We had several different crews and each one had a different job to do. We had a complete remodel of our current swimming pool. We also redid our coping and our deck with pavers. The pool and deck look beautiful. Also, Otelia the contract expert in the office, was also very helpful and helped walk us through the whole process. She gave me her cell phone number and whenever we had questions we would also call her. All in all I have nothing to complain about. They always started on time and everyone was nice. I needed to re-plaster my pool and a friend our ours recommended MP pools. I also got 2 other bids as well. All the bids came in about the same price;however, I decided to go with MP pools because I felt comfortable talking to Angel (nephew of the owner) when I received the initial plaster estimate. My gut feeling told me to go with him, and I was glad that I made the right choice. Angel and his crew were all great! They bended over backwards to accommodate all our installation needs. Every time when something was incorrect, I would call angel and he would resolved the problem or he would explained it to me why it was done that way. I had Aqua blue pebble sheen as my plaster, as well as my flag stones sealed and it now looks like a million dollar pool system. The kids love it and so does my wife. Preciado has redone our pool twice. Last summer, the rep came twice to get the details and to show us the options, as we wanted a Pebble-Tech surface. We added a new border and purchased the tiles separately, but wanted designer tiles from Motawi in Ann Arbor spaced out around the border, distanced every few feet per our measurements. Preciado showed up on time, did the deconstruction, replastering and installation as expected, and spaced the designer tiles exactly as we measured them. They restructured the filter at the bottom of the pool and tiled the intake. As I worked remotely from home, I was able to watch their outstanding work and efficiency. Very unprofessional company and would not recommend unless you want to piss off your neighbors. The crews and foremen started using heavy construction equipment and jackhammers at 7am for FIVE weeks straight. Attempted to speak to multiple foremen on multiple days about starting a little later in the day, but was blown off every time. The foremen were rude and condescending even though they were the ones unable to grasp the concept of what a city noise ordinance was or just plain common decency at 7am. read more

We had a very good experience with Angel from M Preciado Pool Plastering. We originally had plaster in our pool and after just a few years, it started to come off. Everyone suggested to go with Pebble rather than plaster again, since it will last much longer. After some research, we found out that Pebble Tec is the one to go with and M Preciado was one of the authorized dealers. I was referred to M Preciado by someone in the pool business. The same day I received the referral, I phoned the company for an appointment. The young lady who answered the phone quickly gave me an appointment. On the date of the appointment, no one showed up and no one phoned. I then called the office to find out if the estimator was going to show up as I had been waiting for hours. The person who answered the phone checked the schedule and found that my appointment was not recorded on the schedule. She then double checked with me to see if I phoned the correct #. I DID. For whatever reason, my name was not on the schedule. I then requested that a manager phone me. No one follow up on this snafu. Their inaction impliedly convey a message that my business is not important to them, which is the worst attitude if the company is in service business, They may think they render good customer service. In essence, there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They did nothing to remedy the situation. There are plenty of competitors out there and I do not need to chase after them. Furthermore, 3.5 stars tells me about their service. read more

Wanted to remodel a large spa & multi-waterfall combination originally installed 31 years earlier when we bought the home new. Should have done it years before, project was handled in an exemplary manner from estimate to completion. Also installed new DE filter and pump equipment. Préciado Pool re-plastered our pool.recently and my husband and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. We had three areas on the pool floor that had significant rust spots. I really didn't know much about pebble finish but I chose the pebble sheen for our pool floor. FABULOUS! It's so beautiful! It changed the whole look of the pool. These guys not only did an amazing job, but they were quick and neat. They also tore out and replaced some tiles for us that we had around the pool. Great job. As an added note, the staff, Claudia and Elena were very nice to work with. I don't usually do recommendations but I was really impressed with the outcome and the quick timing so I'm going to make an exception this time and highly recommend this company, they know what they're doing. read more

Horrible! Do not use this company! They were the subcontractor that did the plaster on our new construction pool. We paid for the premium product, Pebbletec Sapphire Pebble Fina. It looked great,..for two months and then it began turning white with streaks not coincidentally resembling trowel markings. Preciado says it is OUR WATER that caused it! As if any regular water could possible cause this in only two months. A year later, chemical testing showing that they used the wrong chemicals in their product, and they have not shown us the results of their own test nor have they had a scientist explain how our water could change our deep blue pool white in only two months. We have lived with this hideous pool for ten months and Preciado has not done the right thing yet and re-plastered our pool with the correct Pebble-tec mix. Pebble tec, why are you still using these guys if they aren't representing your product well? Litigation is around the corner I guess to make things right... read more

I wish I could recommend M Preciado Pool plastering. We used them on our previous pool and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. So, when we were ready to refinish our pool at our new home we went straight to them. Unfortunately, something has happened at the company with every step of our project. From the estimator, to project management, money management, office organization, scheduling (not showing up on several dates). I had to make phone calls almost daily to stay on top of every step. I just got off the phone with them...my project has been complete for two weeks. They have misplaced a check from me in their records. Luckily, I have copies of all my cleared checks. Hopefully they can straighten it out. If this was one instance, I would let it go to human error. However, this is a pattern that has repeated itself on each step of our project. It was the third time they called me about paying them/misplaced payments. I paid each step exactly on time...THEY are the ones who misplaced or didn't keep track of checks. The whole project was a very frustrating experience all around. The crews that actually showed up were hardworking and did very good work. If you are prepared to project manage yourself, and watch each check you write to them like a hawk, and you have unlimited time to wait for no show work crews, then go ahead and use them. The end product is nice. We are happy with the appearance of our pool. read more

DO not use this company!!!!! They are the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. Every time I call the person I spoke to last was fired is sick or is not working there. The quality of work is awful. The service is awful. Their sub par work in my pool will cost $25000 to repair. They do not care about the customer at all, just money. Marciano is the owner and 100% dishonest, after 7 months of arguing and taking to a rep at NPT tile they agreed to come and fix the pool. It looks worse than when they started. Marciano said he was going to fix it by using an underwater acid bath, but he refuses to return multiple messages and left my pool full of acid for over a week without letting me know. Upon further email correspondence, Mercedes told me that all work was done. My pool guy told me that the acid levels in the pool were unsafe to use. Do yourself a favor and run from these crooks. Do not be fooled by the charm of Guillermo, Raphael, Nico there project managers or the office staff Mercedes, Georgina and Cynthia. Cynthia by the way is apparently hired and fired on a daily basis. read more

The company refuse to give me warranty either. By law, the company is responsible if their employee convicted fraud. I am suing and file complaints on this company. Do not hire them. My pool was just refinished in Pebbletec Sheen with glass tile accents. I could not be happier. The office, the workers and Marciano the owner were so professional. They operated the entire process on time and with good follow-up. My compliments to the actual work process. They set up dust control and plastic to minimize the disturbance for demolition to final plastering and then cleaned up as though they had never been here. After hearing stories about other contractors, these people are the benchmark. By the way, it is just not me that recommends them. My pool service that I have had for 16 years (All Pro) gave me their name. Marciano did the pool service owner's pool several years ago and they suggest their clients use him. I concur. read more

Horrible experience. Do not use this company! Bradley the sales rep came out and looked at my pool on Wednesday morning at 8am. He told me that he will have an estimate for me by the end of that day. No estimate was ever emailed. I called them Thursday morning and spoke to Gloria (manager) who apologized profusely and gave me her word that by 5pm that day I will have an estimate in my email box. No estimate was ever sent. I called back Friday morning and spoke to Gloria again who again apologized and explained to me that ford sure 100% she will have the estimate to me by 5pm that day. She told me to call by 4pm in case I haven't received it yet and she will personally take care of it. When I called at 4pm, Diana picked up the phone and told me that Gloria already went home for the day. When I explained that I still don't have the estimate she said to call Bradley directly and he will get it for me. When I called Bradley he didn't pick up or return my messages. The weekend came and despite all their promises I didn't receive any estimates. If this is how the company deals with me before I paid them imagine how they will act after they have my money? At this point I would not use their services even if they did it for free. Very unprofessional company. Would not recommend. read more

Our project involved a complete pool resurfacing with the Pebble Sheen product and we interviewed several companies before choosing to work with Preciado and are very pleased with the results. Before the job began, we were taken to see several homes with a similar Pebble Sheen color to the one we had chosen which really helped us visualize how our pool would look when completed. On the day the work began the crew was on time, the work was conducted very efficiently and the clean-up at the end was excellent. The follow-up pool "start-up" process was also conducted efficiently and on schedule. There were no surprises and we are very happy with how our pool looks. read more

I just want to help others out there who are researching their choices for pool contractors. Be aware of two things here. Preciado does direct work and also sub-contract their work through other pool contractors. For us, they were sub-contractors but we paid dearly for their multiple mistakes and very poor quality workmanship!!!! So, BEWARE. They came out and did the demo of our plastering on our pool that we contracted through another contractor. This was done months ago, but due to multiple problems, we are just now getting ready to plaster. Well, another plastering pool contractor came out to review the job, per my request, to see the job and review it with me in detail. He tested some areas and told us that the plaster was not properly removed and needed to be worked on due to loose plaster that would create a major problem for us later. Wait, that is not all!!!!! They were also sub contracted to do our pool tiles, with floats. Well, the float was off by over an inch from one side to the other. (Yes, I caught this before the tile). They fixed, but why did I catch this and not either one of the contractors who were paid to supervise their workers? Anyway, the tile was being installed and there were several areas where the tile did not look good and would be very noticeable since we had a grout that was lighter than the tile. We pointed out the areas so they could fix those places too. (Note, neither contractor did this either!!!!) We had so many areas that were unsatisfactory, that we instructed them NOT to grout until we approved the tile install. Well, end of that day, even before the tile was set per the manufacturers instructions, they grouted the pool and the fountain. The additional problem came when I found the grout bags in our garbage and discovered they used the wrong grout for under water pool edges!!!!!! OMG, what a nightmare!!!!! After pointing this out to the contractor, who also did not have a clue or failed miserably to supervise properly his sub contractors, we all agreed and knew it had to be demo'd again and start over on the tile. Short story here, after a few more meetings with this subcontractor's workers (NOT the licensed contractor, btw) we fired them and refused them access to our property. This was also the contractor that was suppose to plaster our pool too.....I can only imagine how terrible that would have been. So, do yourself a great favor and make sure this company is not involved with your pool. I am here supervising and watching the job, not many home owners would be doing the same, so you would never know. But, take it from me, a licensed contractor myself, this company is to be avoided!!! We recently had our pool re-done by M. Preciado. our experience was positive from beginning to end. Gilbert was helpful and professional in assisting us with design decisions. The job started on schedule and was completed on time. All of the work was very well done, the tile and masonry work was top notch. We would not recommend M. Preciado Pools for existing pool renovation (re-plastering, tile and coping) M. Preciado was one of three pool contractors who bid on the re-plastering, new tile and coping for our existing back yard pool. They were competitive in their pricing but not the lowest price. Their contract was very thorough in explaining the work to be done and the schedule for starting the work and completing the work. While our first impression was that Preciado would be the best contractor to complete the work, we were very disappointed in the end. First off, although the contract called for a date certain to start the work, they did not start the work until we threatened them with failure to perform. We had told them before the contract was signed that we were going to be leaving town for an extended period and we wanted the work completed before we left town. Secondly, the bid called for the replacement of the existing pool light with a new fixture, which they said would be an easy task to complete. Unfortunately, when it came time to complete that part of the job they said the existing pool light wiring was not up to code and that to upgrade the wiring would cost an additional $1600.00 and possibly require digging up part of the existing pool deck. Prior to giving us their original bid they had access to the existing wiring and could have determined that the wiring was up to code or not, but nothing was said about the wiring problem. Thirdly, Preciado represented that they provided a start-up service at the completion of the job which entails re-filling the pool, stabilizing the chemicals, and removing any loose plaster. Unfortunately, because the project was late in starting, the pool start up process was not completed before we left town on a trip. During our absence we received a phone call stating the start- up was complete and final payment was required. Per the contract we paid the final amount, however, upon our return we found that the chemicals were not at the proper level and there was still loose plaster accumulating in the pool. They said that was not the case when they completed the start- up and refused to perform any further follow up work to correct the problem. As you can see the work was not performed as represented and the process was full of their excuses and denials. read more

M. Preciado was the subcontractor hired to put in Pebble Fina as our pool finish. Of course our contractor said they would do the install and then every day for a week they would come to brush the pool because it was necessary to get the smooth finish. They had been having some problems with the Pebble Fina etching and forming a rough surface. Well, they decided to push our job up to the day before a big holiday weekend and promised us that even though it was a holiday, they would still come by to brush the pool. Well, we kept watching the water get cloudier and cloudier. The leaves dropped onto the pool surface and did not move for days. M. Preciado insisted that their guys came to brush the pool and we just didn't see them. However, I am perplexed as to how they can brush the pool without disturbing the leaves sitting on the surface. I am also amazed that since the kids and I were home mainly in the room overlooking the pool, we all failed to see anyone come by to disturb the leaves. By the time they came, there was so much scrubbing that had to be done because the surface had a huge layer of sediment. Unfortunately, you just can't trust what contractors say - its what they do that matters. It took countless battles but at least we have a pool to swim in. read more
