Food was very good and dining inside and outside was nice. Flavors were on point and only thing I would recommend is some type of complimentary bread. The pasta dishes had lots of extra sauce which would've been perfect with complimentary bread. But overall this was a very solid Italian restaurant and service was excellent!

We made a 5:45 PM reservation on OpenTable, and the whole experience felt seamless from the start. Upon arrival, we had the option of indoor or outdoor seating and chose the courtyard which was such a cute, cozy setting and perfect for an early evening dinner on Catalina. The menu leans toward seafood with Italian influences, which ended up being right up our alley. My husband and I shared the burrata salad to start, and it was fresh, flavorful, and a great way to kick things off. For our main, we split the pesto scallop linguini, and it was so good: rich, saucy (in the best way), and packed with flavor. Service was friendly and impressively quick without feeling rushed, which we really appreciated. We also peeked inside, and the interior has a warm, cozy vibe. They were accommodating several large parties as well, but everything still felt well-managed and organized. Overall, a really enjoyable dinner with great food, a charming atmosphere, and solid service. Definitely a spot we'd come back to on our next Catalina trip.

M was recommended by a very nice woman we met on the ferry ride over. So far, her other recs were great, so we wanted to try this restaurant which was high on her list. I made reservations for 12:30 on a Sunday, which was after our submarine tour. They only have a brunch menu on weekends but it included a few lunch items. When we passed by in the morning, it was pretty busy but by 12:30 it was empty. We chose to sit inside and it's beautiful inside with high ceilings and plenty of light. Our server came by after a few minutes and I placed our son's order first for a side of biscuits and gravy. That actually came out quick and he liked it. We had a couple of questions for our server and he was really polite and friendly and gave us his honest recs. We ordered a bread bowl of clam chowder and my husband got a steak. It took forever for them to come out. It was weird because the restaurant wasn't full but I think they just didn't have enough staff. And then when I wanted some butter for my bread, the server forgot and I had to remind him and he brought it then, but by that time my bread was cold and hard. Overall, the food was good but the service was so slow, it kind of ruined the experience.

My husband and I tried this place for dinner on our short trip to Avalon & safe to say we were nothing short of impressed! The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I could literally drink that shrimp scampi sauce it was so good! Super buttery and perfect amount of lemon with a slight taste of the Pinot Grigio, spectacular. I love that there was a good amount of shrimp on the side as well! Dipping the bread into the lemon butter sauce is a MUST! The fried ravioli was also very delicious would definitely recommend getting it as an appetizer. The sauce was excellent & the ravioli had the perfect amount of cheese inside. This is my first time trying "fried ravioli" and was not disappointed. My husband throughly enjoyed the chicken parm as well! Perfect amount of cheese and sauce on the cutlet itself for every bite! He even enjoyed the side of veggies, which is a rare occasion for him since he is not normally a veggie eater. Service was amazing, all the staff was super nice & attentive to their guests providing their insight of the island when asked as well. 100/10 would recommend this place!

This Italian restaurant has started to serve brunch on weekends. We came in for an early Sunday brunch. The patio area has nice ocean views. Indoor is very spacious with a full bar. The menu was huge for breakfast / brunch. They had a little bit of everything. We have tried Caesar salad, steak & eggs and chicken ciabatta. The salad and steak were so good. The sandwich was just ok, chicken was a bit dry. Service was friendly but very slow. It's usually slow here so it wasn't surprising. It's a great Italian restaurant for dinners, serving brunch on weekends is even better!

Had an amazing dinner here during a weekend stay in Catalina. Food was ok-tasty but nothing special. The vibes are great, casual/formal whichever u prefer. Service was great as well.

It was my husband's birthday and I was looking for a restaurant to celebrate his special evening. We both like Italian food so I looked up for some restaurants on Yelp. One of the top restaurants recommended by yelp was this restaurant. I was able to make a reservation seamlessly. 30 minutes before our reservation, the restaurant send a text message to confirm our reservation. Once we were at the restaurant, we were able to find parking for our golf cart quite easily. As soon as we stepped into the restaurant, we were transported to another world. Both inside and outside seating looked great. The ambience was beautiful and well lit throughout. I got the stuffed manicotti pasta and my husband got the chicken Catalina. The dishes came out pretty quickly. The portion size looked adequate. Both the dishes were tasty and cooked to perfection. Since we were celebrating my husband's birthday, the server surprised us with a slice of a cake. The cake was delicious. All in all we had a great time. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant. If you are celebrating something special, this is a great place to go.

June 25, 2025 | Catalina Island Avalon | What a beautiful place to have a solo & delicious dinner as well as enjoy a beautiful view! After relaxing on the beach, and craving a bite to eat, M Restaurant was a great choice! Penne Arrabbiata | Spicy, flavorful & delicious! Even spicier & added flavor once I added red chili pepper flakes & parmesan! Huge portions here; I had leftovers! Easily took half of it back and put it in the refrigerator inside of my hotel room! Vibe: The restaurant got super busy! I enjoyed dining solo, as well as relaxing while looking at the ocean view across the way! It's always fun treating yourself to a great meal, as well as enjoying your own company! There were couples, as well as large tables of people all around, including people at the bar... fabulous! Customer Service | Incredibly friendly! The girl outside making reservations, always has a smile on her face! Even as I would pass by the restaurant, when walking around, she was always upbeat! My server Joanna was amazing, friendly, and attentive; service with a smile, loved it! View: Wonderful beach view of the boats luxuriating in the ocean! Overall: Yes, please! I would easily return & order the same dish and maybe next time, alongside garlic bread! I'm looking forward to exploring more of the menu! Thanks again for a wonderful experience & delicious meal!

Went here for my birthday dinner and it was a mixed bag. Location and ambiance were very cool and casual. Food was hit or miss: Meatballs were abysmal, marinara sauce was tragic 3.2/10 Manicotti was fantastic, knocked it out of the park 10/10 Tiramisu was excellent 10/10, excellent flavor and consistency Cocktails were extraordinary especially the watermelon one 10/10 Service was excellent and quick

Wow so yummy! And so reasonably priced I was really shocked. I ordered the burrata and the cioppino and neither disappointed. The outdoor patio is HUGE but we sat inside, vibes were nice and there were some fun birthday parties. The drinks were also very good. To top it all off the service was so fast our food came out incredibly quickly.

    Lox and bagels. Yum

Went here for brunch on a Saturday. We sat in the patio area. It was bright and sunny. We ordered and the service was great. Food was delicious and the presentation was awesome. Especially for the lox and bagels. We also had omelets and egg dishes and the avocado toast. Will definitely be back. Go try this and you will not be disappointed.

The steak & mash were great. The asparagus ok. But the drinks were pretty bad- water down barely any flavor. I would skip cocktails here.

Apparently this is the most delicious tiramisu ever.

We shared a bottle of the Kim Crawford wine, which was delicious. To start we got the Duck Cigars (incredible!), A cup of Tomato soup (SO GOOD!), and a bread basket, which we never received :( . I got a 12oz Prime Ribeye and my husband enjoyed the rack of lamb and lobster tail. They initially came out with my side, potato, on his plate, and his side, rice pilaf, on my plate. We politely asked it to be fixed since that would have become very messy if we did it at the table, which they had no problem taking back to the kitchen to fix. My steak was so good, a little over done in my opinion, but I do prefer more pink/red in a standard medium rare. My husband loved the lamb, but said the lobster was overall lacking flavor. We then had the chocolate cake which was SOOOO fudgey and delicious! Our experience was very nice, except for the missed appetizer, which was removed from the bill, and our sides swapped, but overall very good. The workers are all very friendly and funny. We really enjoyed our dinner. I can't wait to go back for another!

Her service was spot on. The Cons The side salad was nothing special and I thought a bit over priced at $10. Now on to the lobster "roll." We fully expected to pay more due to the fact that this a touristy place and is on an island. For $34, what we got was a whole lot of disappointment. First of all, the portion you get is nothing close to what a usual lobster roll should look like. The Taragon sauce they sauce they put on it overpowers the lobster. The worst part is the quality of the lobster meat they use. When asked where the lobster comes from, I was promptly told Maine. We live on the east coast and are from the northeast. When I pressed the waitress, she admitted they use knuckle meat not the tail or whole claw. Still not buying it. In both my husband's and my roll there were langostino tails mixed in. When I flat out asked our server, she nodded. That is a huge misrepresentation of the food they're serving and certainly no one would pay $34 for that substitution.

Sarah is super friendly, explained the menu and provided great table service. They have a large wine selection. My wife ordered a chardonnay and I stuck with an Arnold Palmer. We ordered their bruschetta appetizer, served as six pieces of toasted bread and the expected toppings. It was a perfect start to our meal. We were not super hungry, and selected a three-cheese charcuterie board. You are able to select your cheeses, and Sarah again helped us make our decision. No, I didn't expect it to come anywhere close to the stratospheric experiences you could have were you to choose any wine bar you fancied, but, the minute I got inside, I knew I was in for an unforgettable experience that I will want to repeat. First of all, it's downright beautiful. Flawlessly decorated with a chic living room vibe with just the right elements to suggest a curated museum-level sensibility. See my pictures as well as all the others here on Yelp. I spent the entire time noticing little details like the plush velvet banquet, the clubby wing back arm chairs, the art deco artefacts and furnishings, paintings, sculptures, even the ceiling lights were unique and obviously carefully selected. And then there is the stupefying wine and spirits menu that goes on and on. I rarely drink anything alcoholic but I couldn't pass up a taste of one of the exquisite sparkling wines that caught my eye. There is a full range of everything. If you really must have beer, it's there, but! For heaven's sake, try something elevated -- ask for recommendations. You won't be disappointed. However, the star of the entire experience is the menu. Now, remember, I am a lifelong vegetarian. I had fun limiting myself to four choices -- I could have had more were I not on a perpetual diet. You can see what we ordered in my photographs. Each dish was superb, really, first in class. Nonetheless, take a good look at my photographs of the Autumn Apple Tarte -- it is the g.o.a.t., believe me. Not only did it taste celestial but notice the tiny flowers? The chef, Priscilla, is a highly skilled and trained artist, her medium just happens to be delicately flavored and arranged plates of heaven. And Sarah, our attendant took a concierge approach to caring for us. A cosmopolitan playlist provided a lyrical backdrop that just made everything flow like silk. Parking is easy, simply use the Hyatt Convention Center parking lot adjacent to a verdant golf course or their garage, for free. There are two main rooms and we asked for the "lobby"-like large room with a giant table that we had all to ourselves, given we were there in the late afternoon on a Sunday. Even so, clientele were coming and going. It was the golden hour and we were draped in a warm light and cozy but uplifting spirit. The entire experience was flawless. And the tab? Ridiculously reasonable. You may not be headed to Rodeo or Saint-Germain-des-Prés or West 27th street any time soon. So, instead, treat yourself to this epic wine bar. You will thank me, when you do.
