It's OK. I tried eating there three times after church on Sunday and they were closed. Finally got there on a Saturday and it was OK. The ordering process is odd - you have to order at the front and it is slow - usually a line and it can congest the front entrance. Once we did order, they bring it to the table. The burgers were good - not great. To be honest, I have had better in the area and I find them a bit overpriced for what you get. Second time I went, same deal. The line at the front made getting into the restaurant hard to do. Plus, the menus are at the ordering desk and, when there is a long slow line, it is nearly impossible to get to them due to the congestion. We decided to try to eat at the bar but, while waiting to be seen, I had noted the large table order indicators behind the bar and had a sneaking suspicion that you still had to order at the desk for food. I wanted to ask the bartender but could not get their attention so we left. I am open to giving it one more chance but, to be honest, the ordering aspect is a factor. If I am going to sit down and order a few beers, i prefer to have someone wait the table (my preference) or if I am looking for a quick sit down meal with customer ordering, I would need a more streamlined ordering process. read more

I love burgers and I really want to like M Shack. Sometimes our burgers are great and other times the french fries were served cold and soggy and the burgers were just meh. In comparison to when it first opened, the service has declined. Our last experience was a major disappointment, I felt ignored by the waitress, the food took a long time to come out and then the order wasn't right. I was really hoping I'd enjoy M Shack but it really was rather disappointing. For some people who don't enjoy an actual dining experience it's probably fine. I don't like ordering food at the door and then being told I have to go to the bar and order a drink. So two waits and two times using the credit card. If you're going to have a full liquor license at least have a server who comes to the table and actually serves customers. The food was average. Portions small for the price and served in small disposables. I'm sure M Shack has its place but I doubt I go again. Too bad since there aren't many options in or close to Nocatee. read more

The quality of the burgers is sub par compared to the other m shacks I've been to. The service is slow and even if there's a long line they refuse to open multiple registers to take orders. Very disappointing because in general I like m shacks a lot. I'd steer clear of this one unless you are desperate. read more

The Front and bar staff were friendly and courteous. The burgers were good although they could have been a bit warmer. Onion rings were outstanding. Bay Fries good. The place was full of young families and I simply found the overall seating and ordering scheme awkward and less than comfortable. Took my family here for first time 2 days ago around 8pm. Got 4 burgers asked how do you want them cooked we said medium. We were served burgers which were still raw. We left in disgust ate the fries and 2 bites of burger, 1 out of 4 burgers were edible. I would call manager over but kids were cranky and we just left. Me and my S/O came in and ordered 2 burgers with fries, we were waiting for 30 minutes before asking where our food was. During this time the table next to us that came in after us with 4 people were getting their food at around the 5 minute mark. We were able to hear the table saying that they didn't even order burgers (presumably our food) but the food runner kinda just shrugged it off. After asking one of the managers about our food at the 30 minute mark he said there was no food ticket and he can just make them real quick. Once we finally got the food, it was repulsive. When i picked up the burger grease literally poured onto my plate and continued to drip the whole time. The fries were so salty that i couldn't even eat them. I feel like i would of had to drink a gallon of water to counteract the amount of salt. Once this was over they stopped us and accused us of our card declining and that we would have to pay again. The manager looked at me highly puzzled for around 30 seconds when i told her that we paid with a 20$ bill. After a minute of them arguing with us, pretty much labeling us as liars, we left. First trip for a meal. First off I have to say this must be a miserable place to work. Because the entire staff needs an attitude adjustment. The process of waiting in line at the door and having to order without having much time to look at a menu leads a lot to be desired. The order taker wasn't old enough to take a order for a beer. I had to go wait in another line at the bar to get a beer. Once I stepped to the bar, the bartender basically threw the drink menu at me. He was in a bad mood. Probably should start hitting the sauce. The meal delivered to the table.. cold fries. No condiments or cutlery on the table. Asked one of the servers for some ketchup and mustard... heavy sigh... but delivered. The hamburger wasn't that good. just ok. The place seemed a little dirty for all the longer it as it has been open. The seating and tables are cheap and unstable. Place a little weight on one side of a high top and the high top is going over. Probably will not be back for food. My son thought the food at Wendy's was better. I have had a chocolate milkshake a couple times previously. 5 Stars for that. read more

I've been to the other locations and was excited for this location in Nocatee however I've been disappointed. The burger meat is far greasier than at the other locations and seasoned much saltier. I love M Shack for their lean burgers. Also, it drives me nuts that they put fresh avocados underneath the beef patties in the cross fit burger. Kind of like they just threw it all together not caring about presentation. At the beaches location they present the cross fit burger with tomato and avocado on top so it's not all mushy under the hot meat. read more

Great food! I had the crab cake sandwich. It was fresh with nice lumps of crabmeat with little to no fillers. I washed it down with a pecan pie milkshake..which was to die for. Will definitely be back for the crab cake over the kale salad. read more

Let's take a minute to talk about this new grilled cheese sandwich. It's all I've been able to think about since the last time I was there. They must have started a new menu since this location opened because I don't remember seeing it when I was at their Riverside restaurant. If it's not new then I will be sad that I have taken this long to try it. It's got two kinds of cheese and one of them is spicy, avocado (so I can tell myself its not all bad for me), bacon and a house-made jam. The perfect sweet/spicy/savory combination all in one convenient handheld vessel. The vessel I'm referring to would be the buttery golden brown slices of potato bread. They call it the Glorified Grilled Cheese, and the name definitely fits. I want to mention all the other great things about this place but my brain is clouded with grilled cheese and fried pickles. read more

Our first experience at this location, & it will be the last. Found a hair in my burger! The food runner (who was SO SWEET) is the only person I could get to make eye contact with me. She was unsure how to handle the situation, but did her best. Took my order to start again. Another food runner has come by at this point to help. Burger comes back not cooked the temperature I ordered, and sans bacon which I paid extra for. They also didn't bring the tater tots back out, had to flag down the food runner & wait again. Ate the food (albeit much more carefully) as I was starving. Assumed a manager would at least stop by to apologize, but nothing. Was going to order something Togo for my son, but decided not to push my luck. Accidents happen & can be made better a lot of the time when someone acts like they care. Asked so many coworkers where to take my son for a burger to celebrate with him. Mshack at the town centre was the recommendation. Nocatee was closer so I went there. I was impressed with the feel and decor when I walked in, but hugely disappointed with service and quality. Spent $30 for the 3 of us and didn't get our monies worth. My sons burger was not worth the 20 minute drive to get here. We specifically went for burger and a shake. Is it normal to have your shake delivered 10 minutes after finishing your burger? Was visiting with a friend of mine and was enjoying a couple drinks at the bar. when I look over and the three younger girls standing behind the register on their phones and laughing a little to loud. once moved outside they started dancing and putting their butt on the glass window to talk to the young lady inside cleaning. one had long blonde hair with a collard blue shirt and the other two wear in shorts with long brown hair other was braided hair and white sweater with glasses. I understand having fun and joking around but not when the store in open and paying costumers as myself and my friends were still in the store. very unprofessional of the girls to be like that. read more

Our first trip to M Shack in Nocatee on a Saturday night and it was crazy busy. I expected to have to wait a while for our food but I was wrong! Fast friendly service and our food was delicious. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done which seems to be a challenge in most restaurants. I usually end up with a burnt bloody beef patty but not this time! It was cooked to perfection! Absolutely casual and simple burger joint. You come in, grab a menu, and order. The bartender was nice enough to take my order instead of waiting at the line. I understood the whole concept of the place, any time you need something you just come up to either the bartender or main register and order. No need for the formality of trying to get your server's attention and then waiting on getting your order. The burgers are great! Got mine medium rare and honestly it tasted fresh. They're not like other burger places that try and hide the freshness with all this "secret" seasoning. The two sides I tried (I read the menu and clearly the sides aren't included) were the onion rings and parmesan truffle fries. You know the onion rings are made there because of the uneven cuts made by hand and the batter are very similar to beer-battering I've seen in other restaurants. If you want to be pampered and be catered to every minute, then I don't suggest this place. Check out Medures which is their fine dining counterpart that me and my wife go to once a month.
