This place rocks! I am glad they continue to grow and hope they make it to Tallahassee sooner rather than later. I have been to one of their locations at least a dozen times and I am always impressed. I always order the insanity burger because anytime your buns are replaced with grilled cheese sandwiches as your buns, then you know things are good and you are in heaven. The burger is phenomenal. The flavor, moistness and size are perfect. Not sure if it is meant for one person but I always eat it on my own. Did I mention there is also cheese on the burger? Now the shakes are what takes this place to a new level. I normally order the large oreo cheesecake shake. Never been disappointed with this one. It has chunks of oreo and cheesecake that had to the thickness of it all. In fact, they give you a bigger straw because it is so thick--just like shakes are supposed to be. This was first experience at any M Shack, and heard positive reviews of their Town Center location, so I expected good things. It was meh. I waited over twenty minutes for two burgers and two hot dogs for take out. The burgers had been ordered rare and medium rare, so it's not like they would have taken that long. What really was annoying was the trio of teens who came in after I did, took forever deciding what they wanted, and still got their food ahead of mine. Meanwhile, whenever I tried to make eye contact with the hostesses to ask about my order, they would avert their eyes or walk away altogether. Finally, what appeared to be a manager walked up to their stand, and I asked for an update on my order. The hostess called back to the kitchen while rolling her eyes, and said "they are packing it up now." Two minutes later, I had it in my hands, without so much as an apology. The food tasted ok, definitely not as delicious as Burger Fi, but I am willing to give them another chance, as everyone has an off day. Hopefully that is the case here. read more

M Shack pops off during lunch hour. I don't love to wait very long for my food at fast casual spots but this is one of only a few places in Nocatee to grab a bite so it's almost unavoidable. On one occasion I waited for what I thought was too long and my turkey burger was undercooked. That's just sloppy. I know they get slammed but the overall experience needs some work. I have probably given M Shake in Nocatee their last opportunity! They are overpriced and their food (based on my selections EVERY time I've ever went) is average at best! Tried a Crab Cake sandwich tonight, it was swimming in tarter sauce and they should have been ashamed of the tomato they put on it! Don't waste your time or money! BUT - what really bugs me for some reason is the guilt trip tip - you use a debit card, a screen pops up asking what level tip you want to give (10,15,20% or dollar amount)...FOR WHAT???? They do the same thing Hardee's does (you order at a counter, someone brings it out) - but they have a bar and a better atmosphere....so you must tip for same service? I gave 10% for fear they would spit on my food if I didn't...but it made an already overpriced average burger even more overpriced..... We visited for lunch yesterday. The process can be confusing but once you order it works perfectly. You have to order at the desk at the door. There is a small desk with two attendants and menus. Everything on the menu is separate so don't forget to order drinks, sides etc (we forgot to order our drinks). We ordered a sunrise burger (add mushrooms $1), kids grilled cheese, kids hot dog, one order of Parmesan fries and a cookies and creme milkshake...total $30. I ended up grabbing a large table (shareable tables) and went to the bar to order a beer. I waited for 10 minutes until someone came to let me know the bartender would be right there to help me. After 10 more minutes I went back to my table. The bartender was busy working on the Coke machine. Apparently out of the many staffers working the lunch shift the only person who can serve a drink and the only person who can fix the Coke machine are one in the same. The bartender came to the table and and took my order. Our food arrived (this was after a 25 minute wait time so be prepared) and then finally my beer. With all of that said...service needs work. There are too many people "working" without actually having a purpose that I could see. With a line out the door due to the fact that you order at the door causes a major delay in process. The food was very good. The $8 burger was good and fries were the perfect blend of garlic and Parmesan. The kids said theirs was good as well and my daughter said her milk shake was ok. I'm sure they will work out the kinks soon as they've just recently opened. And I am happy to have a better restaurant option close to the house. read more

Surprised they survived the pandemic. My wife just brought home carry out from here and she came straight home from M Shack. I was hesitant when she suggested and said they don't do well with letting it sit while it's transported. I decided to roll with it since she suggested it and to keep it easy. Unfortunately my concerns were valid. The bottom bun would've been more at home in French onion soup and the sweet potato tots were packed like a side of mashed potatoes. Plus they must've packed us the wrong size as there is no way they think they should be charging $4 for about 10 tots. Who packs hot food in laminated and sealed containers with no liners. Yeah,, I've been to the Nocatee one about four times. They most definitely aren't consistent, I enjoy one visit, food is good and service. Next visit, same food I enjoyed a week or two ago is now borderline disgusting, I read many reviews where their burgers came out raw after ordering medium. While I personally enjoy medium rare every burger I've had there is most certainly rare. HEY M SHACK COOKS. A medium burger needs 8 minutes on first side and 6 after flipping. Omg !!!! So my son and I roll in today on the way home and ordered two of the burgers and a fry. We waited 15 minutes thinking these burgers are goin to be amazing. Well no...... the menu says medium is the way they are cooked and ours were as raw as I've seen... Came here with grand kiddos and had a sweet but sour experience (like chicken ). The "shake" machine was down and my babies were disappointed. One of them started to cry! This is a gem you can only find in the Jax area. Love their burgers, fries and milkshakes. Service is courteous and quick. Food is well prepared and the atmosphere is delightful. Only complaint is I don't want to stop eating even after I'm full. Oh make sure you get a milk shake to go because there is nothing like it. This was without a doubt the biggest mistake for a quick bite in the history of deciding where to go for a quick bite. I would have taken a picture but the food was only on the table for about 10 minutes before we left. Brought the family and found seating to be narrow and stacked. They have two high chairs and one of them is broken. Tried a high top table but the table itself was broken and with very little effort kept tipping. The food took over 30 minutes and they got my order wrong! I ordered a salad with NO dressing because I'm deathly allergic to garlic and even told the man when I ordered that if I eat garlic, I hit the floor. He spoke to the kitchen and wrote it on the order and yet.... The chicken tenders on the kids meal was alllllll batter and no chicken and I think the hit dogs are flash fried as they were covered in grease. Do not go with small kids that need a well maintained high chair. Do not go if you're looking for a quick bite. Do not go if you have a serious food allergy, even if you do everything you can to accommodate eating out by ordering the easiest to make and the hardest to screw up. The worst service ever! Set at the bar for 10-minutes without a single bar tender asking to take my order ... and the place was nearly empty! They were too busy texting or cracking jokes about each other. Every time I have been there, we have noticed how rude the staff is. It's a reflection of their poor management. MShack makes a really good burger. I live in Nocatee and have ate at MShack many times. It's a non-pretentious restaurant in an affluent neighborhood serving burgers...it is what is, a burger joint. I have been to M Shack many times over the past year, as Nocatee has only so many food options. Every single time, the service is horribly slow, even when they are not busy. It is as if the cook in the back can only make and put together ONE ticket at a time. (Up to 25 minutes and I was one of four people there!!!) As said, the slow service has been consistent. M Shack would be much better served to hire their cooks from Waffle House, that really understand the basics of handling multiple orders at once. M Shack can get away with it for now, as again - not many options in Nocatee, but this will bite them in the future if not corrected. Aside from the time in getting the food out to the table, the burgers are usually way under-cooked for what has been ordered. This is a constant, so much that I now have to ask for my burgers over-cooked to my preference, to actually get the burger to come out properly. This also goes hand in hand to if they got your order right to begin with. Over the past year, I know there has been at least five times, that when I get home I have to turn around and go back to M Shack to have them fix my order (You're right, I should have known better and check it before I leave), but the point remains - GET THE ORDER RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. The staff is pretty pleasant and hospitable, no complaints there. The managers do their best to appease any problems with orders or timing. The managers do not make any excuses, which is a major positive. The menu and food is actually really good, when it actually comes out as your ordered it. Three strikes and you're out. Yesterday I had a burger with a burned and blackened bun. Even though I ask for extra onions, I NEVER get them. I did get plenty of pickles which I never asked for, which ruined the burger for me more than the burned bun. Two weeks ago I had a burger there that was almost inedible; dry and overcooked. I used to frequent this restaurant. One day I was eating, and one of the employees was spray cleaning a high chair for 15 minutes, spraying a toxic substance which floated through the air and permeated everything. When I wrote to MShack to complain I was ignored. It was truly toxic and sickening. They do not seem to care enough to respond to their customers. But if you want an overdone dry burger on a burnt bun loaded with pickles in an atmosphere filled with a toxic spray cleaner, M Shack is your place! read more

I can't say that I have eaten at an M Shack before so I Dk if this is how they all are but the cash register is like 4 feet inside the door so there was a line outside the door with people holding it open. ....um, flies are gonna get in the kitchen (horrible design!) The menus are AT THE REGISTER. So you better know what you want if you don't want to hold up the line ( of one register) might I add! It was so loud inside with nothing to absorb the sound so we went outside to eat. I ordered my burger well done, it was red inside and was not good at all. The fries are from a bag out if the freezer. I asked the cashier if they were home cut Fries before I ordered them and he said yes. To top it off the bill was $27. Drove down there for lunch and there was a sign on the door saying they decided to close for the day so thier employees could have a break?? Very strange.
