Second time at M and it will be the last time. Only pleasant part of the experience was Boris, our server, with a nice disposition and quiet manner. Dining experience took nearly three (3) hours and NOT at our request. We were a table of four who watched many tables be seated, served and leave during the course of our visit; these varied in size from parties of two to eight. We ordered directly from the menu (no special requests or dietary restrictions). Salads took almost one (1) hour to be delivered (two caesars, one wedge) and the meals another 45 minutes (two steaks, two seafood meals). My steak was tepid. Boris, our nice waiter, didn't take the hints particularly well that we were getting annoyed with the lack of timeliness. That said, he was very nice and apologetic. Nothing done to counter and/or "make it right." As mentioned, second time at M...and the last. Too many other great places in Naples to "tolerate" a lack of overall attention and a reasonable dining cadence. read more

We were very pleased to visit this stunning waterfront restaurant twice during the past month. Our first meal was a great lunch with friends from both Ft. Myers and Marco. The 6 of us all tried different items from the menu and everyone liked their own dish so well it was hard to get any sharing going which was what we originally agreed to! Our friendly server also told us about the current "Twilight" menu that was featured for the summer/ Fall. That prompted us to make a reservation for our second visit. WOW! For only 19.00 for a 3 course dinner, it was by far the best Early Bird dining I've ordered in a long time. I'm generally not a fan of these kind of discounted meals, because they can sometimes be second class menu items. The food was attractively prepared, with several choices for each course and clearly of the same caliber of the excellent lunches we had earlier. My wife has already told me where she expects to be wined and dined for our anniversay later this year, so I know this place rates highly with her. I would say the regular menus are priced in keeping with the more upscale places in the Naples market, but I don't mind paying for a very high level of food and service when it is delivered so well in a unique, one of a kind restaurant. read more

We had a party of 4 with no reservation but we were able to sit down with in 5 min. at an outside table as requested. The meals were excellent from apps to deserts. The waiter was excellent & friendly. My wife enjoyed the olive spread so much that the waiter got her a dish of it to take with her for later. The price was what we expected for such fine quality & portions. I would highly recommend this facility. read more

My husband took me here last night for my birthday. Although we wanted to sit outside, it started to drizzle. We sat inside and it was just as romantic. My wife and I eat out all the time when we travel. We had a 7:30 reservation on Friday 1/31/14. Our server was horrible. Took forever for her to take drink order. Only brought 1 steak knife. Walked pass our table with empty wine glasses, multiple times. Food was okay. Took another 10 minutes to ask if we wanted to order dessert. Then another 10 minutes to bring our bill. Long story short it was the first time I have tipped under 20% in the 15 years we have been married. I will not be going back. To many other great location in Naples. read more

Definitely do not order steak. Our filet was over cooked and the short ribs were so over cooked that they were hard to chew. The chefs must just be cooks. It is also very loud, and way over rated. Extremely RUDE! We made a reservation for 9:45 on New Years Day using open table. We are new to the area, so it took a little driving around to find this place which made us late. We arrived there at 10:01 and were told by the manager that we can not be seated because they close at 10:00! The restaurant was 60% full, and we could not believe that we were not going to get to eat here after driving for over an hour because of 1 minute! We have never experienced such rude service anywhere else and will be sure to not go back here, and tell everyone we know not to go here! Very poor business management. read more

We've dined several times at the M Waterfront Grille, but we won't again. While the food is quite good, it's overpriced, which we could overlook, but we can't overlook the fact that the very overpriced red wine is served COLD!! It's unbelievable. No other place anywhere we've been does this, and it makes the wine impossible to enjoy, since the taste is completely suppressed by the cold. We went to M's as a family recently, our server was very nice she did a great job. My wife and I ordered the same dish, the filet medallions, they were good at the time, however later that night we both ended up getting extremely sick. Now this is the only time in the last few days that we had the same meal so it seemed obvious to us that this was the cause. A member of our party went back the next day looking to make them aware and possibly get some sort of a refund as each meal was $32. The manager would not give a refund because we were the only complaint. He said if anyone else reports similar symptoms then he would call us. My mother lives in Naples 6 months out of the year and we visit multiple times a year. I can guarantee we will never be back there. read more

My beau and I decided to walk to this restaurant after renting kyacks earlier in the week. We sat at the bar around 8:30 to order appetizers and drinks - we were the youngest in the restaurant besides two of the bartenders. This crowd was more 'local' since the season just ended. The atmosphere is really nice - chic with the flamed entrance way and outside seating and dining areas and views of the bay- and the food we ordered was outstanding, mostly. We had the shrimp and crabmeat spring rolls (PS: go online to the M Waterfront Grill website and download a free coupon for this app!!) and the beet salad. Still a little hungry, we decided to order the lobster roll - bad choice. It tasted like it was microwaved and too rubbery to eat. The wine list is nice, a bit over priced - a glass of Sean Minor cab was $13/bottle $50 and the bottle in a wine store costs $22. Location and markup taken into account. A great experience and worth visiting at least once. Start off with the sunset across the street at the ocean and finish the night here. read more

Living on the east coast of florida, I experience many flavors from south beach, to boca raton but I have to say this restaurant is one of my favorites. The service is impeccable, the menu choices although limited will satisfy just about anyone's taste buds. I don't know how they take simple sauces and make them taste so spectacular. I had a barramundi with udon noodle dish that was complimented by the most delicious light sauce with a Japanese flavor. My friends had a noodle dish that was accompanied by a tomato sauce that I could have eaten alone and even the salad wedge had a blue cheese dressing that i found richer and creamier and tastier than any other blue cheese dressings I had ever tasted. This is a must if you're visiting Naples. I forgot to mention the exquisite desserts and the air conditioned tables with floor to ceiling windows that make you feel as if you're on a boat. The best part is, this is not part of a chain restaurant so they constantly strive to be even better, as if that were possible! read more

I made a reservation very easy, no problems to get in. I got the table that I requested just like on the website with the beautiful views of waters, right by the window. The valet was waiting and run to get our car. All per perfect. The proximity to the house. The atmosphere. I was aware that the place maybe be somewhat touristy, but regardless the menu was pretty good. It was slightly overpriced, yet the quality was outstanding. Thus the prices were well justified. I would not expect to pay anything less for the taste and presentation. My favorite part was that the portions were small. It reminded me high quality European establishments. The stake was done up to my standards. This was the only time in my life it arrive well done as it was ordered! The server was pretty good. A young and attractive lady was there only to take the order, to serve and to bring the check. She was not annoying like many. She was there when it was needed! Now, I am putting this 5 start review because all was truly perfect. But, I do have one request is to get back on the cocktail menu Passion Mojito!!!! RAZZLEPEARY MAGIC was not bad either, pretty strong, but I want the PASSION MOJITO!! just like I saw it on the website menu. It was number two reason why I pick that place to begin with. My wife and I visited this place on a Thursday night. There were 5 tables in the whole place but in September that's not unusual. The Beet salad was great but the crab and shrimp spring rolls were just okay. We shared the Grouper on the menu that was the Signature dish but the Grouper was very fishy smelling and the watery orange sauce was bland. We both agree it was terrible and at $35, Ouch! The whole menu was way overpriced but I guess we were paying for the location. I will say the service was excellent and the server and manager were both excellent in attending to us but not overdoing it. Will we go back??? I don't think so. For the prices I expect to be blown away by the food and service but unfortunately the food fell very short. read more

TERRIBLE service and RUDE waitstaff. My parents live around the corner and were excited to take me to M for a festive Saturday night out, after just getting down to Naples for a long holiday week vacation. The place was empty, particularly for a Saturday night (7:00 p.m.) and there were probably 15 tables outside, of which all but 3 were EMPTY. That said, we assumed prompt service and at least a fairly quick drink order. We sat for 20 minutes and no one came by to even bring us water, let alone a drink order. Upon getting up and leaving our table (which no one even bothered to stop us or apologize for the delay in service) it was remarkable how empty it was inside, as well. The bar seemed fairly crowded, with only a few empty bar stools, however it validated the fact that the lack of service was a poor oversight by the management and waitstaff; it had nothing to do with being overcrowded or a typical Saturday night. Even if it was, I've been to many restaurants in and around Naples that can quickly accommodate at least a few water glasses and a quick cocktail order, despite a line out the door. After leaving, we went across the street to Bayside, got waited on immediately, had great service from Kristina and ate a delectable meal. read more

I have been to M Waterfront Grill on a number of occasions. It is my neighborhood go to restaurant when I want to sit along the water and grab a bite. However, on this occasion, we decided to have Thanksgiving dinner there. Never again. The restaurant seemed overwhelmed, the service was scarce, and the food was mediocre at best. I even had to send my dinner back because it was not even warm. A manager came to out table, asked if everything was OK after they brought my reheated dinner out, and said he would check back with us after dinner. We never saw him again! Who needs to spend a fair amount of money, especially on a holiday, for such a lousy experience. read more

The evening started out iffy when we asked to be seated outside instead of indoors and this requested was not granted with their pleasure. Once shown to the outdoor seating in the back, when we thought it would be in the front, I again asked to be moved, back inside this time. That seemed an issue. . . .Otherwise, our server was very good, not great. When I'm paying these prices, I expect a certain level of professional service. The food was quite good, I had the brie which was fantastic AND the beet and fried goat cheese salad, which was also very good but very heavy on the beets, if you don't like them. I had the black angus filet which really was delicious. My husband had the chicken and that was wonderful also. The evening ended very well. read more

Just dined here last night, enjoyed our experience all the way around starting with Mitchel our waiter, he was very professional, polite, and friendly, did not try and rush us, let us order at our leisure which I prefer, the wine and cocktails were very adequate, I had a grey goose and sour, they did not scrimp on the alcohol, there was three of us and we ordered something different, I had the black grouper which was very tastefully prepared, tasted as good as it looked, my daughter had the swordfish which I tasted and thought when I come back again is what I'd order next! My mother had the yellowfin tuna and raved so much about it that she said we should come back to dine again in a couple days! We all then had different deserts and they were all unique, the creme bru le my daughter had was to die for! All in all I'd recommend this restaurant to everyone, look forward to dining there again soon! read more

So disappointing!!! My lobster was overcooked and my serving of brussel sprouts included only 3 small ones. My husbands pork chop was not described properly on the menu, claiming it was Milanese and was really a full fatty chop. My wedge salad was thrown together with no thought. 4 stars thus far.....really? I am not a snoot but let me tell you, for what they charge, the food should be alot better and the staff has to be prodded to get decent service. Had tile fish...very marginal...and filet...not bad but for almost $40, should have been much better. Drink prices are also off the charts high unless you go to their happy hour at half price....make sure though you order on time because they look at their watches to the minute...even on slow nites...you got to be kidding me....could be alot better if more customer friendly! read more

On the inland waterway. Outside table is the key as the inside, although quite nice, reminds me of a place my parents took me to in my youth. Food is excellent. Heirloom beet and fried goat cheese appetizer excellent. Grouper excellent Salmon excellent. The waitress brought the wrong entree to my wife, quickly rectified the mistake. The manager came over to apologize and offered us deserts on the house. When we decided to split a single key lime pie nothing was said and instead of being comp'ed the desert they simply took 20% of of the tab. And then the manager called the next day to inquire as to our experience and further apologize. Would definately return. read more

The food here is always good, but our experience could have been better. The Hostess was less than pleasant when we arrived and made it a point of letting us know that basically it was our "fault" that our table wasn't ready because we arrived 15 minutes early. Yet there was no need for her annoyance, as we didn't complain at all. We knew we were early, and were perfectly happy waiting at the bar. Once seated, the noise levels were very high and we had a pretty rowdy table next to us. Our server was good although she had her hands full with all the tables she was serving. As for the food, the Heirloom Beet Tartar with fried Goat Cheese was artfully plated and delicious. My husband had a Spinach Salad special that was very good. I then had Short Ribs as my entree, and they were very tender and flavorful. They were served over potatoes and caramelized Brussel sprouts, a great combination of flavors. My husband enjoyed the Bouillabaisse that was full of shrimp, clams, mussels, lobster and mostly fish. He would have liked a little more spice in the broth, but he otherwise really enjoyed it. The quality of the food was everything one would expect from this restaurant, just wish the overall experience was better. Front of house, be very conscious that your attitude towards every guest sets a tone for their experience! read more

Normally a great restaurant. Internet menu shows they offer black grouper on their menu. Arrived at the restaurant and there was a ban on fishing for black grouper so it was not available. So I ordered the sea bass off the menu soon to be advised they ran out of sea bass. Unfortunately not a good experience at the restaurant. read more

Totally my "go-to" restaurant. My daughter and I love to eat at the bar ... awesome bartenders (best Grey Goose martini in town) ... my friends love to eat out back on the bay. The inside is great, too, of course. Service is top notch and they cater to the needs of my guests. OK, to start, you have to have the shrimp and crab spring rolls ... and then finish with the pot de creme. I can't say I have a favorite salad or entree as they are all good and I just keep switching from one to the next. M has a gluten free menu, too. At the bar, I love their blue cheese burgers! (BTW, I'm a food snob so it's not easy for me to find restaurants where I just love everything.) The manager orders me the wines I like. It's like having your family own a restaurant! Oh and join the loyalty program ... free entree and key lime pie in your birthday month and start gaining points for free dining. You can't go wrong here. read more

We liked this restaurant so much at we ate here twice the week we were in Naples. The shrimp and crab spring rolls are delicious. The Caesar salad looked great. If they have a grouper special, order it. I agree with another reviewer who mentioned this was the best grouper in Naples. Service was friendly. Food was served quickly, but we didn't feel rushed. I loved the coconut ice cream. The views are fabulous. I don't think there's a bad table in the place. read more

I booked a reservation for two Saturday morning when they opened for 7:30pm because we where driving from Orlando, which was estimated 3 hours away. But by the time we left Orlando it was already 4:30 so I called the restaurant back to move my reservation to 8:30. Good thing I called back because the second reservationists I spoke to name Maria, said she couldn't find us :( So we arrived in Naples at 8pm, checked in our hotel, changed our clothes, and made it to dinner about 8:35. Our hostess greeted us and sat us down. Our waitress promptly greeted us. She seemed shy, but very friendly. We where starving so she was ok with bringing us a second round of bread lol:) She then proceeded with our drinks, appetizers, then meals. This is the reason why I chose this place. The seafood is priced perfectly. You can have a lobster meal for $46. I decided on the wedge salad and swordfish. It fell apart in my mouth and it was a great choice. I washed it down with a glass of Riesling. My friend had the clam chowder and steak, she loved her meal too. The view was amazing, we wanted to sit outside but it was a rainy night, but they sat us right next to the window on the water. The check came and the book lit up so you could see, which is a really smart idea. End the end the manager introduced herself and asked us about our experience, which was very thoughtful. I also got a phone call the next day during my conference to follow up but I couldn't answer. I will be back with my better half next time! I love this place! read more

Restaurants come and go at an alarming rate in Naples. This one should be around for years to come. Along with five stars come $$$$$ prices but for a special occasion this restaurant has everything. Service was impeccable. Their signature appetizer of crab and shrimp spring rolls was delicious, as were entrees of a seafood sauté (think elegant and super fresh kind of bouillabaise with shrimp, mussels, chunks of salmon and other delicious creatures, with wonderful small slices of fresh garlic) and a snapper special. The birthday celebrant is rewarded with a complimentary dessert. We had a very delicate, apparently whipped key lime pie that for me needed a little more zippy lime flavor. A chopped beet salad featured fried balls of goat cheese that were wonderful. We didn't have wine. When I told the waiter that I had spilled part of my premium gin gimlet he supplemented my second drink with an additional ounce or so. The manager or chef apparently visits every table and we got a follow up phone call the next day asking how we enjoyed the restaurant.
