These guys are awesome, the food I delicious tender and the portions are very generous. They almost always have a group on deal too so check that and save yourself some coin. Even the salads are usually enough for 3 people to share. I usually order the beef schwarma plate with an extra side of gyros and I've never been disapointed. I decided to give this place a try a few weeks into the grand opening. A Greek friend of mine introduced me to Mediterranean food and I've been hooked ever since. This place is actually pretty good. They didn't have an online ordering system set up when I went (although the owner did say that it was coming soon). I had a Greek salad for lunch, which may not sound all that adventurous but I've had some pretty bad salads before. But the atmosphere was pretty mellow, and the aroma of the meat rotating in the kitchen was mesmerizing. It tasted even better, seasoned very well and was very moist. Definitely would go back for to try more dishes. Update: Okay, I tried this place again and had their Tekah Chicken and it changed my life. I think I get Tekah Chicken plate every Sunday now. The seasoning and marinade is perfect. It comes with rice that is impressive on its own, hummus, side salad, and pita bread. Its a very filling meal for a pretty big guy. Best Mediterranean food in North County hands down. This is a family run establishment and you can tell they are proud of what they serve. I used to work a few blocks from there and I'd have lunch there regularly with coworkers. Everything is good. I'm normally not that much of a salad eater, but if you are, the chicken salad is out of this world. Super filling, lots of chicken, lots of fresh herbs, and just the right amount of olive oil and feta. If they happen to make pistachio baklava the day you visit... you are in luck. I was craving Mediterranean food and am SUPER disappointed in this place. The falafel wrap was, eh. The caesar salad looked unappetizing. The gyros wrap meat looked like deli meat. Don't get the smaller platter. It doesn't come with enough pita bread for the hummus, and when you ask for more, they'll charge you on top of the $80 fast food meal you already purchased. Plus, the pita bread is kinda chewy, like bubble gum. I was hoping for a second choice to when Shaks in Vista is closed on Monday and Tuesday, but I would rather wait until Wednesday when they're open after experiencing this. So here is an honest review. We have been here a couple times and enjoyed the food. We found a coupon on local flavor which we brought in. After telling us he would not accept it because it was for dine in only he then told us it was going to be a 40 minute wait for food. He was also very rude about whole thing. We tried calling in our order and it went straight to busy signal. Here's my thought. I'm keep hearing support our restaurant or we will have to close. I say. Treat your customers with courtesy. If you can't honor a coupon don't offer them. I'm tired of owners putting out coupons and then denying them. Because of this we will be going to amaaaazzing Mexican food next door at cejas. Three stars based on service and that may be a bit generous since orders are taken at the counter. The dolma looked nice enough but there were no pine nuts and came off a bit bland. My beef shawarma wrap was very bland and too dry, far too little taziki. The pita wasn't warmed either so not a good introduction to what I had hoped would be a new spot I could enjoy based on the reviews here. Hopefully it was just an off day but I don't think I will be giving them another try soon. Pretty expensive considering the lackluster food I sampled. Was craving mediterranean food so of course I relied on yelp to lead the way! Ordered the Maan's special meat and the tabuh (sp?) chicken entree's, and an order of baklavah (again...sp?). Drove from vista to pick it up- was surprised at the total being $35 but when I got home I realized that we got two chicken entrees so they must have misunderstood me. The food was great- very flavorful, spiced well but not too much, hummus was amazing- and even better the next day in the extra unintentional entree. Salad was crispy and not over dressed. The baklavah however (which is one of my biggest guilty pleasures) was not good. They ask you when ordering how many you want- although the menu online says " 3 pieces for 2.99" and shows a picture. This is not what you get. I asked for just one since they asked me how many- and it's a square with nuts inside that don't taste right and it's not 1000 layers of fine flakey crust filled with honey like I'm used to. It's more like store bought pie crust? Won't order the baklavah again but the food is great!! Will be back when I'm craving it again :) read more

The food is ok... But every time I go they mess up my order. I asked for no tomatoes or olives and each time I have gotten them. It's usually not a big deal to pick it out but last night I pretty much got a tomato and olive salad and... No salad dressing. Double check your order before you leave. read more

Maan's fixed the dry meat issue, so now it's just plain delicious. I usually get the beef schawarma. The meat is perfectly flavored and tender and is served on a bed of warm, fluffy jazmine rice. A reasonable portion of hummus is also included. They throw in a little salad that isn't that great, but hey, it's a side salad. If you want an amazing side salad, order their chicken salad and split it. They also serve desserts, which I am told are fantastic. Desserts invented east of Germany just don't seem to do anything for me. Feel free to enlighten me if you disagree. I have just given up on trying to find tasty middle eastern and asian desserts. I think the better quality, like most things, takes them more time to complete their orders. Make sure you give them 45 minutes to complete your order if it's around dinner time. The food tasted reheated and when I asked if I could please get all of the veggies on my plate the menu said it came with the woman working was very rude and never brought it. They recieved one star because the garlic sauce isn't bad. I have been here twice and both times rude service with less than excellent food. We hired Maan's to cater a very large party of over 50 guests for us and BOY ARE WE GLAD WE DID! Maan met with us several times in advance, recommended menu choices and delivered on time, fresh and piping hot. We had Hummus, Baba Ganje, Dolmas, Greek Salad, Chicken, Gyro and Pita. It was DELISH! Maan arranged the buffet table, brought everything we needed and made sure the set up was perfect! The food was a big hit. We received a ton of compliments . One of our guests who is from Turkey asked to bring some extra home, and said "as a Native from Turkey, this is authentic and some of the BEST Mediterranean food I've ever had."
