Mac and Jack if def. A place to check out and will recommend going on Sat or Sunday at 1pm or 3pm for the tour. It use to only be once and week and got so crowded with 100 people showing up. Now its about 25 to 30 people at max with 4 showings. Its free, you get to sample, and also take home a pint glass. The tour itself is relaxed and they go over the history of Mac and Jack and you get to ask a bunch of questions. They dont have a serving license so dont except to go there and drink alot. They do growler fills and usually have a beer on tap that is an experimental which can be surprising good at times. read more

Reserved and picked up a Pony Keg of Mac&Jack's African Amber for a Housewarming Party. So easy to do over the phone, you don't pay until you pick up. Pick up was very easy and staff was so cool to deal with, drop off was even easier and didn't need the same credit card on me to return, just printed a receipt and put deposit back on the card. Will definitely use again and soon! read more

Its a cool drive their the tour was cool,but I looked up other Breweries and they serve sandwiches and whatever else.But since the beer is so good its worth the drive to fill up your growlers and pick up a hat or poster. read more

If I am out and about to eat and want a beer this brewery is always my fall back if they don't have a dark beer for me ( I am a Dark beer guy) I just wish they had a place to sit and have a beer with friends. First off let me just say that I'm not a huge beer drinker. I went on the brewery tour with my fiancé and brother for the experience more than anything else. However, the people at Mac & Jack brewery were super friendly and recommended some beers that would be good for someone who doesn't want to have bitter beer face the whole tour. You get a free pint glass on your tour along with 3 drink tickets which was more than enough for us. We actually had another couple offer their extra tickets to us but we didn't take them because there isn't anyplace to hang out once the tour is over, unless you want to be awkward and stand in a circle in the open space while they wait for you to leave. I enjoyed all the beers I tried and have ordered Mac & Jacks out since doing his tour, which is great! I highly recommend going on the tour even if it's just for the free glasses and to try some beers you can't find in stores. read more

This is my favorite craft brewery bar none (pun intended). The Serengeti Wheat and the Cascadian Dark Ale are my favorites, especially when they do something unique with each of them (for example Bourbon Barrel the CDA, add Blood Orange to the Serengeti). I am so thrilled that they have added the option to stay and drink a pint or two in their gift shop. What is especially great is they have added a canning machine for those of us who always manage to forget to bring our growlers. The brewery tours are fun and the best deal in town (free tour, free beer, free pint glass...did I mention free?). I am always happy to spend my $ here, whether on the brews or the swag. I only selfishly wish they participated in more local brewfests these days. What I am also very thankful for is that almost any food establishment worthy of their liquor license has the African Amber on tap, and that is why living in the Pacific Northwest is worth all this unforsaken rain. Excellent prices on logoed items and the best beer in town. Small location, so visually less exciting than a larger brewery, but still worth a look. Both my husband and uncle think Mac and Jacks has the best beer in town, and perhaps in the whole world! Once when I had a fund raising event, they donated some beer, which was super cool too. This is my favorite brewery in Washington. Their African Amber is incredible, very aromatic and delicious. I can't believe they offer FREE tours and free samples and a FREE pint glass every Saturday and Sunday! They have 2 times for the tours, 1 pm and 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Did I mention they give you free samples and glass? I've done the Red Hook tour ($5 for tour, ok samples, and glass), but this one at Mac and Jack's lets you see the tanks and people working on the tanks - the whole operation is 24 hours a day, which is pretty cool to see. Their beers are only available in growler sizes and up, so only WA, OR, and ID get to enjoy African Amber for now. However, it's cheap, delicious beer! If you are in town, make the drive to Redmond to check them out. Free parking, free tour, free samples, and free pint glass! I didn't mind the drive up from Lacey, and there are also a few other breweries within a 5 minute drive. read more

I went on a beer tour here on a Saturday. I loved that Mack & Jack's is a local beer served in lots of places in the Washington area. While beer is not my 1st drink of choice, I liked how Mac & Jack's wasn't crazy trendy like some of the breweries I couldn't tour without advance reservations. We didn't have to make a reservation and the tour and tastings were FREE and you get a free pint glass with their cool lion logo. In a time when craft breweries are the new thing and popping up everywhere, Mac & Jack's has made a good impression and stands above many of the rest. read more

Love Mac & Jack's - always have, always will. However, this review is for recently when we arrived to pick-up 2 kegs for a friend's wedding (we have the truck, we got to transport). Long story short, the African Amber keg was busted, which we didn't realize until we were in Olympia, at the reception, with guests ready for beer. Now, the local Total Wine helped us out with another African Amber keg (quickly and efficiently - so thanks!) but when we brought the kegs back (broken one included) they were nice as can be, apologetic, and worked out a discount for the trouble with the groom. Professional, respectful and nice. Another + in my book. :) read more

In my opinion, only the African Amber stands out from the herd, although friends who like porters like theirs. While I have been unable to stay here for a tour, I have gotten a free glass or two from the tasting room. T-shirts run a bit small for men, so supersize those a bit if you buy one. read more

This place is great. We decided to have their beers on our wedding day. When we went in to speak to them they were very friendly and informative on the beers and the selection. It was great that we were able to sample beers completely free. We came up with three of our favorites and were able to schedule a pick up time with them on the day of our wedding. We called and confirmed everything beforehand and put our Elegant Affairs wedding planner in charge of pick up that day. The only thing I would suggested is double checking all orders during pick up. We emailed and gave a print out of the same information to our planner but for some reason we did not get the three selections that we asked for (only two). It may or not have been the wedding planner's fault for not confirming and double checking to make sure the order was correct, but regardless, I would suggested to all parties that all orders be double checked and confirmed before purchase. But all and all, the beers were excellent and the staff great. The beers were such a hit at our wedding, that we had family members go on a tour the very next day. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. read more
