I will say that the app is pretty stellar and if you're new to bidding, it can get quite tricky -- but fear not, they have tutorials. I'm pretty sure you could find ANYTHING if you were constantly looking. Selection varies on a daily basis and definitely look out for last chance deals on the app as well! After winning your items, you have 3 business days to pick up. You can have them hold for an additional $5 for up to 5 business days after purchase as well. The hours for pickup/inspection are pretty much regular workdays so be careful of when your deadline to pick up is by. OKAY. Now to the warehouse *insert wide eyes* There is ample parking and for Monday at 4pm, there wasn't too much of a rush. I was carrying extra baggage (my two toddlers), so I can say my heart rate was higher than it should have been. When you enter the warehouse, you check in on the right side (can check in on app for faster process), and then you proceed to get a CART if you need one. You do have to FIND your item based on the bay (letter), shelf (number) and finally the item number. As a first timer, this may be overwhelming but don't worry, it gets easier. If you have items listed BINS -- those are at the FRONT (letters A and some of B). Once you are done loading your item(s), you go to the front and they scan out your items based off of the barcode on the box. They have streamlined the process to make it more effective and everyone was pretty understanding and attentive when I needed help. read more

Buyer beware. Carefully inspect everything you purchase from Mac.Bid. I've bought several items from them over time. Some have been great deals, while others ended up being a loss. Unfortunately, this waffle maker was by far the worst purchase I've made. It was clearly heavily used, covered in old grease and food residue, and it doesn't even power on. I honestly can't believe this item made it through inspection and was listed for sale in this condition. Selling a dirty, non-working appliance is unacceptable. I have been to Mac.bid multiple times and have never had an experience like I did today. The new process they have implemented is horrible. They have moved the office to the front of the store, and some of the employees were working as if customers had all the time in the world to wait. People were standing around in a very hot warehouse while workers slowly retrieved items. The only positive part of the experience was the young woman checking people in at the office check in. She was incredibly sweet, noticed how many people were waiting, and took charge to help move things along. Unfortunately, after waiting approximately 35 minutes, the item I came to pick up was broken. Between the excessive wait time, the disorganized new process, and receiving a damaged item, today's experience was a complete turnoff. read more

Someone had the brilliant idea of moving the " office" to the front of the store and being in tx ppl were literally melting waiting for the incompetence of the workers who were bringing one item at the time showing a complete lack of respect for us the customers. Not being too familiar with MacBid, I purchased an item and came in at 11 am to pickup. I was told I had a free account and was not able to pickup until 12 pm. Speaking to managers, I explained my situation. Shawn was extremely helpful and said ' you're here now, we won't turn you away', while Linda-said 'it says right there on the email-do you see it say 10 am anywhere? It says 12 noon, extremely rude! MAC.BID might be my newest obsession! If you haven't heard of MAC.BID before, they are a company that buys returned and overstocked goods from top retailers and sell them in online auctions. There are thousands of items and they have daily auctions all starting at $1. You can access their auctions through their website, but I highly recommend download the app since it is way more user friendly and it also gives you quick alerts on things you are interested in. So here is an easy step by step of how it works: - Download the app (forget about the website) - Find items that you are interested in, and start to bid on them. Highly recommend putting a 5min alert so you know when the bid is about to end. - Watch the bid and hopefully you get to win some good deals. - Next day you can pick-up your items directly at their warehouse in Schertz starting at noon (you only have 3 days to pick-up your items). - Show them the QR code that was sent to your email confirming the items you won. - The email will also include the "bin number" where they are located within the warehouse. - Grab your items and head home. Please note that they have additional warehouse fees and taxes you must pay on your goods. I won a bid on a bathroom vanity, the pictures showed the top to be perfect. I go to pick it up and it was laying on it's side and the counter top was smashed to pieces. They gave me a refund but I was out the vanity, the hour it took to drive there and my gas. Look at the site now, type in refrigerator. Not one name brand one there! This is just a junk site. Buyer beware most of their like new is just junk no one else wants, from what the people that work there have told me they have about 30 seconds to evaluate the item and move on. This place puts trash up for bid and we like dummies purchase it. I bought three pop-up tents. All three were broken and were trash. I bought a refrigerator when I got it. This was a good place to get a decent deal here and there;but then they screw you over on passwords and waiting for a code to be able to get in the bleeping site. When you're on the site, you have to get another bleeping code, to be able to bid on an item. I was lucky to get two items, but the codes are a pain in the butt!!!! I finally decided to try it this week, and let me tell you -- I was NOT emotionally prepared for how this would go. There are two locations in Texas (Schertz and San Antonio). I bought this Maven Lane Alexander bar stool -- retail price $329 -- for $32. After tax and fees, I walked out paying $45 total. Absolute robbery. I am officially hooked. Now for the part they don't warn you about... Pickup day arrives. I go to the Schertz warehouse feeling confident and slightly smug. Rookie mistake. I did not bring a dolly. I assumed someone would load it for me. Friends... this is not that kind of place. This is a self-help warehouse. Here's how it works: * Every item has a barcode * You stand in a long line just to get into the warehouse * Once your winning barcode is scanned and verified, you're released into the wild to find your item And when I say the warehouse is massive -- I mean MASSIVE. From tiny packages to full-size refrigerators. It took me a minute (okay, several minutes) to figure out the system. I'm also one of those people who avoids asking for help unless absolutely necessary, so naturally I learned by wandering around like a confused Costco shopper. Meanwhile, seasoned MAC.BID pros were cruising by with dollies stacked high, looking like they'd trained for this moment. I, on the other hand, had... my arms. I somehow managed to wrestle my giant box to checkout, where your barcode is scanned again, and then -- freedom. Victory. Mild sweat. Final verdict? I would maybe recommend. MacBid used to be great. Just BEWARE! I've been sitting for over 2 hours waiting for my larger items. You can pick up your own items off the shelf if they are smaller. The new process is poor. You have to pay a monthly fee of $30 to be a part of their buyers club. Included is the ability to get in 2 hours earlier than those not in the buyers club, and receive one return per month for five months, then no more returns. Returns are necessary because many items don't work or are missing pieces (because they are mostly returns) Lastly, EACH item has a lot fee of $3, 15% buyers premium fee, plus tax. read more

Bid on a rice cooker. Their description was "like new", and I went off that when bidding. When I picked up the box, I did not open it while I was there, because it's "like new"! Lo and behold when I got home... it's not "like new". No original box, no manual, no accessories that come with it, just an old, used and abused rice cooker. I based my bidding on the description. This rice cooker was used by previous owner and returned in place of the one they bought and returned. A 1" chip out of the handle, oil and food residue on the rim. Missing the original box, no manual no accessories that should have come with it. The boom of the bowl had numerous chips in it. I could tell it was old, because a label on the top was worn an unreadable. If it's expensive... get the buyers assurance. Dont' believe "like new" without taking a look at it. I have sent an email, haven't gotten a response, but I'm sure they will reply with the should have inspected it. When they describe it "like new", I expect it to be like new. read more

I'm obsessed with the bidding. It is an adrenaline rush. But getting down there fighting traffic is not real fun because there's always construction on 35. Once you get inside, there are no racks,people stand outside and follow you if you happen to get one. Best to take your own wagon. You can get your things off the shelves. now, if you have any big items you go clear over to the other side try to find somebody let them know that you're there, and then you sit and you wait and you wait, we have waited three hours. That is the worst part of it. That part is not organized at all. They call your name, but you can't hear them. I bid $5 a on dog bed. After buyer's premiums/fees, I paid $9.47 for said bed. The box looked intact from the pictures posted on the bidding site. I picked up my item and box looked good, no red flags yet. However, upon opening my box, I quickly noticed the bed was missing stitching on one whole side and missing nearly half of the stuffing, making it a piece of useless cloth basically. On another trip, despite my better judgement, I won a tower fan for $25.67 after fees. Again, the box looked in descent shape. I know these are open boxes and I do realize people may have tried the items or even used the product a while before returning so I don't completely expect items to be brand new, but this fan was covered in half an inch of dust, pet hair and who knows what else. It went straight into my trash can. Sure, it's buyer be ware. Big at your own risk. It's just too risky. read more
