My 14-year-old daughter needed help to learn how to define her eyebrows. She's strawberry blond and her eyebrows are non-existent. The helpful friendly staff there came to our rescue. She sat down in the beauty chair and was shown how to use brushes and an eyebrow palette to crest beautiful subtle eyebrows. They had colors specifically for strawberry blondes. Cristina was Fabulous! This store is the best Mac make up counter that I have seen. Usually they are busy. I went at 11:30 AM and I was a walk in with no appointment and she took me in and made me look pretty. Let me preface it by saying I am a male. An awkward and ugly man. Cristina made look like a barbie doll.. I was pretty and the people passing by all was in awe of what a pretty woman I had become. Cristina is AMAZING! I will be back. She made me look great and I felt pretty and walking around dressed like a woman and now looking pretty. I stood at the lipstick counter for about 15 minutes, clearly confused, and clearly looking around for help while 3 women at the register stood around laughing. I had to walk up to them and ask for some help in which one girl came & asked had I checked the drawers below the display for the colors I was looking for. I said I hadn't thought of opening the drawers because I figured they wouldn't want me rummaging through their inventory and she said yeah you're not supposed to touch it. First time at MAC! Worst customer service! I wasn't greeted or helped when I needed to pick out a color. I was trying out colors for about 15 minutes. Finally I went to the register with a "sample" lipstick and no one was at the register. (#A85) Finally a Hispanic employee with a lot of eye makeup went to the register and helped a lady who got there a few minutes before me. After she helped her with her purchase she told me "I will be back" then went to help a lady on the floor and she was ready to buy her products and she rang her up to pay while I was next in line. Another employee went to the other register and was doing inventory.. really?! When there are customers waiting to be helped and waiting on line.. I was so annoyed I put the sample back and left. I totally felt like I was an inconvenience and received the worst customer service I have ever received at a MAC counter. I wanted to get in and out fast, but instead I was passed on from one artist to the next while both helped others when I was clearly there first. I purposely came in first thing in the morning to avoid crowds but that back fired. I understand they are busy but I was just looking for some quick color matches and thought it was totally rude to go from customer to customer. Why not just finish with one then move on? I walked into MAC today wanting to get some help with face coverage and eye shadows for my eyes. Jasmin helped me and she was so pleasant, friendly and sat me down and did a whole eye shadow tutorial on me plus gave me some great studio face foundation for light coverage for daytime wear. I left there feeling so pretty and grateful for her taking the time with me. She was wonderful and had lots of patience. I love this MAC counter even though its busy on the weekends I always get helped I went in for a new foundation and one of the girls quickly said hi and that she would be with me shortly. The customer service at this Mac counter is awful! I went in needing two eye shadows and a lip brush. I waited patiently for an employee but after standing around for 15 minutes. I was never greeted or asked if I needed any help. The store was not busy. Only one other customer besides me. I finally went to the register where 3 employees were just hanging out behind the counter doing nothing! When they noticed me looking at them I just got dirty stares and a hateful "Do you need help?" I just left without purchasing anything. I was so bothered by the treatment I received here. I decided to check the reviews for this store and I see several other reviews by customers complaining about the service here. I will be contacting the corporate office. Took my cousin here to get our makeup done for her bridal shower. They saw us before our scheduled appointments which was great. The guy with the nice curly hair did mines. It turned out perfectly. He was so nice and asked what I wanted. He didn't pile the makeup on. I've never tried pink for my lips and when he suggested it for my complexion I thought he was crazy. If you read my past reviews, you are going to understand that I have written lots of MAC and Sephora reviews. Being a beauty junkie, I am pretty experienced with makeup and I know my products well. It's a bit hard when you are younger (I'm 15) because associates don't take you seriously. They think that you are just a dumb kid, most of the time. MAC, I'm not going to lie, is intimidating. With it's all black motif, it's a bit darker (literally and figuratively) than Sephora. I was totally wrong, as I braced myself for the bad treatment that MAC was sure to give me. I thought that the same bad experiences I'd had, would repeat again. This MAC completely blew my mind. I went up and this wonderful African American woman helped me. She was very nice, and patiently waited a good 45 minutes with me as I picked out lipsticks and blush. I'm 15 but I sure do look like I'm 11, and I know if I was older, I would not want to give that much time to someone who is so young. She helped me right a long showing me what would look best on my skin tone. I came in with a list and a budget - and I didn't surpass it at all. She understood, that I could only spend a certain amount of money (under 100) and the items that I liked, but couldn't afford at the moment, she wrote down on a piece of paper for me. I really wish I remembered her name, because she was one of the best and warmest MAC employee, that I've ever had. And trust me, I've had a lot. She didn't pressure me into buying anything extra, which would have benefited her because she makes commission. She didn't seem like she was lying, and seemed completely authentic and honest. To add on the rest of the store, and not just the one person that helped me: You might not get someone who was as nice as the girl that I got. Some of the other MA's looked depressed and gloomy. When I first walked in one lady said she would help me, but I walked around for around five minutes, until she ignored me and helped someone else. Then Ms. Best MA in the world comes along and snatches me up (in a good way! The lady that helped me suggested a color to me, only to realize they didn't have the tester or the actual product. (This didn't really bother me because I ended up finding things that I liked, and her niceness made up for it) And honestly, that's where the complain ends. Ok, so I am going to review this store based on my experience getting my makeup done for my engagement pictures yesterday with Naomi. I made an appointment because I was on a tight schedule, so I didn't have to wait at all. She was soooo nice and made me feel very comfortable since I told her that I wanted to look like myself and I usually don't wear a ton of makeup. She made sure I was good with everything she was doing and by the end, I was the happiest girl in the world! My makeup was PERFECT! I am going to go back and find out if she does makeup outside of just Mac and try to book her for my wedding next year. read more

I was very please with the promptness of service that was provided by Make-Up Artist, JO-JO inside Macy's at MAC. She was not only prompt, but friendly. I passed the actual MAC store to go into Macy's because that's where I normally get my make-up from, but the artist are usually very busy. JO-JO approached me with kindness and genuineness. My daughter and I went to this MAC location in the Fox Hills Mall to buy foundation. She has always had a difficult time finding the correct shade for her skin, so I wasn't too hopeful. But Valentina was great and really took the time to help her find one that actually matched her skin tone. She made my daughter feel at ease, which hasn't been the case at other cosmetic stores where she felt pressured to buy makeup she didn't like or want. I also asked about exfoliating cream, and Valentina gave us a sample which my daughter really liked. We went back to buy the cream today and this time we were helped by Erica, who was equally as helpful and pleasant.They were out of the cream, but Erica supplied us with more samples. We will be coming back to this location to buy our cosmetics because of the exceptional service we received from Valentina and Erica. read more

Went to mac to learn how to do a smokey eye. Lucie assisted me. She was great with her instructions. Mac can get pretty crowed so I recommend making an appointment if you're going to do a mini make over. Their products are very expensive but I guess you're getting better quality. . I only use mac products for my cosmetics. . I've seen less expensive brands but unsure of their quality. read more

I've been to this location once or twice before. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as product knowledge or customer service. I usually go to the Del Amo mall and always have great experiences. Went in today just to buy some Studio fix since I have lost mine and had a date. It was pretty busy for a Sunday morning and there were at least four other customers having make up applied to them. I politely waited for one of the employees to help. I was standing there for at least five minutes when one of the staff looked at me and said "I'll be with you in one minute". Ok not a problem, I understand that things get busy sometimes, I observed them running around trying to do multiple things at one time. I just had the felling that things were a little disorganized. Another customer came in and the girl who was suppose to help me next went right up to her and started assisting her instead! I hate this place so much. I made an appointment and had to wait one hour before doing my makeup. It was so terrible and caked onto my face. They didn't us the right colors and it looked nothing like the picture I showed them. I had to come home an wipe it all off and did my own make up. Of course the brand is one of the best , however! I went yesterday with my family to find some lip color for my niece and no lie we were there for 30 minutes trying things on . Not one of the staff asked us if we needed anything (NOT ONE ) my sister said to one of the girls , she couldn't believe she's been there for now 40 minutes and hasn't been acknowledged once. The young lady replied very pleasant and said " I didn't know if you were waiting for someone or what . Uuuhhhhmmmmm that's why you ask it's called (customer service) After that she told one of the staff and they wouldn't let us breath lol . At that point we've figured out what we wanted we didn't need any assistance anymore. Only to go grab the color of our choice. I usually only go to the actual store. I must agree with the other posts in regards to customer service. I FINALLY got someone to help me pick a natural lip gloss... the young lady shows me one... I open it up and test it on my wrist... another employee walks over and says... "can i see this" and takes the gloss right out of my hand... walks away...I'm standing there holding the wand in my other hand and I'm looking at the girl that was supposed to be helping me like...DID SHE JUST TAKE THAT OUTTA MY HAND?!?! Eric at store #12606 changed my life! I breezed into this shop yesterday while in the mall to see if this location had an eye color that my usual location was out of. They had the color but only the refill for the pallet and not the individual pot. I told Eric that Mac was the only eye color I use so he suggested that I get the pallet since it is the exact same amount of product and I can change my pallet around. Plus, the pallet plus the color refill was cheaper than buying the individual color pot. He also showed me how to pop the colors out of my individual pots so I can swap them around in my pallet. Maybe this is something that all MAC customers were already aware of. However, I have been buying MAC eye color for many years and this was the first time it was suggested to me. Went in for a eyeshadow lesson, although the associate whom I was in contact with didn't give me all the proper information Breanna was amazing!!! I went into the appointment and was greeted extremely rudely by the stores manager, not sure of her name but she had a natural and when I came for my 12pm she seemed as though I was bother her and had a terrible attitude. If it weren't for breanna and Ej I would've rated the store with 1 star. After my lesson I'm excited to tryout my palettes at home with the help of breanna, she was very knowledgeable about the products and their purposes. 100 stars for her and -100 for her manager!!! read more

So I've been here twice in the same month and both times I've gone the same girl and another girl were so rude to me ! I asked The Hispanics girl with fake blonde hair a question and she just answered in the rudest way I can't even deal . I went again yesterday and I was jus waiting around to return. What I purchased the previous time because I was jus so annoyed at the customer service that I had to return what I bought. So as I was waiting yesterday it was pretty busy for them and there was a few people waiting g to check out and another girl shows up by the register and screams at every body to form a line ! I went in today for a some recommendations on a new foundation so I figured MAC would be a good option. When I arrived here, I stood around the foundation area for about 10 to 15 minutes. All that time I was standing, there were employees passing by, no one even greeted me and I'm sure they saw me standing there which made me really question if they valued their customers but I stuck it out because I really did need assistance and my makeup. After that period of time a young lady approached me and asked if I needed help, I explained to her I needed a new foundation something matte and wouldn't make my skin blotchy. So she helped me, we found a color to match my skin tone so it was all good. She then asked me if I wanted a pump for the foundation and l said yes because without a pump I feel as if too much product spills onto my brush and I really don't need it so a pump for me would just make it last longer and is less messy. After that we proceeded to a setting powder to match my foundation and also a eyeshadow primer. I was pleased with my buys but I realized when I got home that she hadn't gave me the pump that I asked for and I'm really disappointed about that because first of all she offered it to me so how can you forget about something you asked if I wanted? My experience at this MAC is one I hope I never encounter again at any other location but for this one in particular I don't think I'll be returning. They should practice customer service skills a lot more and try to be more involved with the customers so they have a way better experience than I did. read more
