I woke up looking and feeling very tired. I wanted to put on a little makeup so I felt refreshed before I got on my early morning flight. Jenny gave me a little make up lesson and she was so sweet and helpful even though she was feeling a little under the weather. I've always been a makeup girl and Jenny taught my some tips and tricks I've never even heard of before. She recommended the best products for the natural look I was going for and taught me so much. Next time I'm in Seattle I'm definitely going to go visit her for more product recommendations! You only pay $90 for her to do a full face of makeup and the $90 all goes towards product purchase. It's been a long time since I left a review for any business, but I am so annoyed after todays interaction. On Saturday morning, I realized I didn't pack my concealer and stopped here to pick some up. The girl who helped me originally (edit: her name is Zera) was super sweet. She helped me right away and matched me correctly on the first try. Very sweet, no issues with her. Now, less than 24 hours, I return to this store to make a return for this concealer since I never got a chance to use it while on my quick overnight trip. I'm not going to hold onto a $25 concealer that I didn't need, nor used, when I have a ton at home. When asked why I was returning it, I said I didn't get a chance to use it and don't need it. She (edit: SHE is Mona) asked if I ever used it (which is a standard question any where that sells makeup) and I told her no, I never even opened the box. She then proceeded to open the box and look at the product and tells me, "I can tell this has been used. You used this." I told her again, "I never even took it out of the box." Again, she tells me I used it and shows me that the stick that she pulled out of it has product on it so she knows it's been used. HUH???? I tell her again, "I DIDNT USE IT NOR OPEN THE BOX!" Again and again, she's arguing with me and telling me they can't take it back because they can't put used products on people. Finally I tell her. "if it was used, then you sold me a used product because I never even opened the box." Finally she goes to talk to her manager and proceeds with the refund. It wasn't until I got home and looked it up that I found out airport MAC stores have their own rules. I assumed they took back anything, like all MAC stores, whether used or not. If it was a used product, I would've said it was the wrong color, or I used it and didn't like how it felt on me. But from the very beginning, I told her I never used it and she continued to basically call me a liar. Super rude and annoying. Work on your customer service skills versus arguing with someone over the little $25 sale your store lost. This is why everyone shops at Sephora or Target versus dealing with your high priced makeup and below standard customer service. Many will share their horrible experience with a store versus a good experience. You just created a bad story for me to share from now on. Good job. read more

What a pleasant surprise, to see a MAC store at the airport. Tucked away, neatly, besides one of the lovely Fish & Chips spots in what looks like a newly renovated food court area is this beautiful lil store. The staff are helpful but luckily aren't the hounding type. All my usual necessities were in stock and my trip here was an easy in and out. All the displays were clean and it was nice to see products being cleaned for the next person to test. I couldn't have asked for a cleaner, friendlier or more beautiful shopping experience. read more

Store opened August 1 2016. Super nice staff, the store is of course organized and Uber clean. The cosmetics they offer are top quality. A little pricey so expect to fork out a little dough. BUT you do get some really well made cosmetics. You dont compare apples to bananas although they are both fruit, so why would you compare MAC to any other company? Because the quality is better than the others. In addition to regular cosmetics for the face, they offer body foundation for people who might need some color correction due to scarring etc I saw an SPF 35 is come of their products which is the highest I've seen thus far from any company. Come check them out. The staff can help you how to apply their make up as intended. They offer small sitting stations with mirrors so they can spend some time one on one. Thee store is located near the food court on the side of Anthony's restaurant across from the Sub Pop store inside the secured area. Swing by when your flying out OR when you get in. read more

Early, early morning on Thanksgiving Day 2018! Jacki was great! The small store was busy and she was the only employee there. I think there were about 6 customers inside running into the store before rushing off to their prospective flights for the Thanksgiving holiday. I think there were three that were ready to check out. Jacki helped each of us and acknowledged our needs, upsold, grabbed product, explained the difference from one to the next and "ran" back to the register after grabbing an upsold lipstick to the gal in front of me. She was quick, friendly and professional. I was amazed at how she did it all without being rude or making the customer feel as though we were putting her out. She was so thorough I never felt like i was being ignored, or had to wait too long when she upsold the gal ahead of me. The only thing i didn't like was the fact that there were no visible prices on the product from what i could tell. The store was clean and organized. The 5 stars go to Jacki! read more

I have been an exclusive MAC customer since 2002. I spend a fair amount of money on this brand each month and I'm always looking to add new colors. When a MAC counter came to the airport, I was pumped. A spot to grab a new lipstick or a new brush - perfect! I'm in the airport every week! Sadly the service is here is awful. I've interacted with about 10 employees at this point. All of them are condescending and act irritated to work with customers. It's easy to feel intimated in big make up counters and having a friendly and helpful attendant makes all the difference. One employee wouldn't even try the eye shadow on me. He put it on his own wrist and acted like he did me a huge solid. You know it's bad when you'd prefer to go to the mall than stop by the counter that is in a location you have no choice but to spend hours waiting. Final insult to injury - they don't carry my favorite lipstick color, Del Rio, nor do they do back to mac. read more

Rude staff with attitude of can't be bothered, even when you know exactly what you want coming into the store. There weren't even any customers in store but me and she blatantly walked away 'we don't have it'. Sad bc as a weekly traveller, was totally looking forward to being able to pick stuff up on the fly. Will continue to use the LAX MAC store as they are friendly, helpful, and seem to have genuine interest in their customers. Seattle staff definitely has training opportunities and kinks to work out. Return/Exchange Policy Warning : you are limited to Mac Stores only(Southcenter/Bellevue). You may not exchange at Mac stores in any department setting but for some reason MAC artist will work at different locations including dept stores. Best to stick with Department stores for access to better parking and more options to exchange your purchase. I wasted time in I5 traffic and a half a tank of premium gas to return a foundation. I ended up returning everything I bought and turned around to buy similar product at Sephoras. On the upside, the gentleman who had helped me was more attentive and approachable which is not typical for MAC. If I see him at any Nordstrom or Macy's I will buy from him. read more

I usually just get my make up from the drug store but today i was looking for something different. i've been wanting a more high end foundation. the moment i went in there, the workers were very attentive! showing me where things were and telling me i could test them on my self. even when i got my foundation matched lady working was more then happy to help me. usually when i get matched or something along those lines a worker will just swatch a little bit on my face and it won't really give me that great of an idea of what my face will look like. but this lady was like i'm gonna have to put this all over your face with some concealer and bronzer so we can get the full effort. i was so happy she did that because i felt like i could really get a feel for how the foundation would work with other products. she even moisturized my face. she so easily sold me the foundation i didn't even have to thing twice! read more

I was shown and purchased what was presumed to be a "long-wear" lipstick....the color lasts for about 3 minutes & i was rudely treated when i questioned this purchase & asked to return it on my way back through the airport. I experienced particularity bad customer service at the Westfield mall location on 7/18/22 at around 2:00. I was picking up an eyebrow pencil to replace an old one, but also needed powder and mascara. There were two girls, a pretty, nice woman with shorter hair and an abrupt, demanding woman with longer dark hair (who didn't look like she should work at MAC) who unfortunately chose to help me. She was more of a shark than the other one, that was clear. She didn't listen to me, repeatedly interrupted me rather than listening to my needs, told me what I wanted before I had the chance to think about it and basically shoed me out of the door before I could decide if I wanted additional items, which I did. I was just so anxious after our interaction, that I just wanted to get out of there. I was later disappointed when I remembered that I wanted to get some powder and mascara, but I was not going back into that situation. I only walked away with the eyebrow liner. MAC, what happened to your staff? This woman was so controlling and looked about as plain Jane a they come. I did not get the feels as I have in the past with MAC. I brought my niece in for a fun girl experience but walked away feeling used and abused by some controlling counter girl. Your company needs to step it up, this is unacceptable. That girl is driving your business away and costing you sales and I would be concerned if I operated a brick and mortar in this competitive environment if I had someone like that on my team. I had a fantastic experience with Sierra at the MAC Cosmetics store inside of SeaTac. This is an incredibly convenient location for travelers just inside of the main security checkpoint, and the store is very well stocked. I needed a touch-up and product recommendations to cover a blemish over the holidays. Sierra quickly took me under her wing, recommended and color-matched concealer, and also provided her expertise on several other items that would complement my skin tone and work well with the concealer. All in all, a great experience and highly recommended, even if you just need to pop-in quickly for last minute travel needs. A+ service! read more

Stopped in while traveling out for the holidays and the employees were super helpful. I don't wear makeup nor do I know nothing about it but they help me picking out some stuff for my girlfriend. I knew some of the color names and they seem to know exactly where the products were and even had other suggestions. I went to the store on 1/1/2018 around 5 pm(in case their manager ever read this review), there was a customer in the store and couple employees behind the counter, NOBODY greeted to me or even asked what did I need. I was asking for a recommendation on some buildable mascara. The associate seemed annoyed I would need assistance. Sorry to take time away from your contouring session, geez. The "employee" merely pointed at the row of some mascara, not indicating which one they were trying to suggest. So I picked one up, and they said "no, that one." Again pointed to a general direction, and not to anything specific. And then walked away to continue a conversation the other employee. Wow. read more
