I am filing this review because I believe Mac Haik has failed to stand behind the vehicle they sold me and has provided little assistance in resolving ongoing mechanical issues despite my purchase of an extended warranty. I purchased a 2013 Toyota Camry on November 28, 2025. Since then, I have experienced multiple repairs, unexpected expenses, and extended periods without my vehicle. On February 23, 2026, the battery and ABS warning lights came on, the steering became difficult to operate, and the vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. Mac Haik diagnosed a failed alternator and belt. Even with an extended warranty, I paid $318.33 out of pocket. On May 12, 2026, I returned because the A/C was not blowing cold air while idling. The dealership found the system low on refrigerant, replaced a leaking Schrader valve, recharged the system, and later determined the flow sensor in the A/C compressor was not actuating properly. I paid another $343.68 for this repair. Unfortunately, the A/C issue was not resolved. I have since been told that additional repairs are needed, but those repairs are not covered under my extended warranty. I now am expected to pay more than $200 out of pocket. My vehicle has also been at the dealership since June 3, 2026, for over a month. During that time, I contacted both the service and sales departments for assistance with a loaner vehicle, but neither was even pretended to help with that request. I expected more support resolving these concerns. I have lost confidence in both the dealership and the value of the warranty I purchased. read more

After servicing my 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, both the front driver and passenger side fender liners were loose and rubbing against the front tires. Financing department changed the price by a couple thousand. When we asked why the price of the car changed, they said it was just "math." She was so rude and disrespectful. This is what they did to me. First time the charged me 160.00 to test a battery. Then proceeded to tell me I won't get my car back until I paid while I put a battery in it. So I filed with the BBB. Got half back from them. The service manager made excuses of oh the cost of the techs tools his wage. Bla bla bla. An honest service manager would be hey man it's a bad battery and I won't charge you full price for that. Then this week had a bad spark plug. In Jan 2022 the fro t axle went out and I didn't get back until April and the 4 Wheel Drive still don't work My transmission cable went out August 15 and they it will be October before they get the part Just don't buy a dodge and avoid these headaches I just should of bought a Ford. Beware. My husband had his work truck in their sevice department. In a matter of 24 hours, almost everything in his cab was stolen. I mean everything down to the pictures of his family. After repeatedly calling and speaking to various people at the company nothing got solved. They were defensive and shady about the entire situation. Promised to review the 29 cameras they have to see who did it and then promised to call me with the answers. Nothing. Completely ignored us and did not care what so ever that his personal belongings were ravaged through and stolen while in their care and possession. Completely ghosted us. Service department, especially service advisor Pete, has abysmal customer service and customer experience. Warranty replacement of two batteries took 3 days. Service advisor Pete had a condescending attitude at every interaction, and was extremely sarcastic throughout. Pete's reason that it wasn't finished on the second day was "because it was raining." It then took until 5pm on the third day to finish replacing two batteries. Horrible service experience, would not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

Have customed ordered a 2022 Hemi back at the end of Nov. 2021 was told 8 to 10 weeks and maybe as long as 12 weeks. Have only seen any attention to my order is once in mid-March from the salesman. Finally stop by the 18th of May and acted like ordering a new car and was giving the same time in receiving my order. So I ask where was my car being 6 months since ordering. They said they can't tell anything about an order once it says it shipped. No stars! This last experience with MAC HAIK was HORRIBLE. My vehicle was WRECKED on their property, and they did not want to be responsible. I had taken my vehicle to get serviced , and they told me the parts were on backorder for two weeks. We told Adam the service manager we would just bring it back when the parts came in. He then said for us to leave the truck. So we said ok cool we got a loaner so going on to three weeks my vehicle still hasn't been worked on and got hit by a driver that ran off the road. We then talked to the GM Jason and he was no help he told us that it's like if you went to HEB and park your car while going grocery shopping. Which is not the same. So to anyone that takes their vehicle to MAC HAIK in TEMPLE TX beware your vehicle is not in good hands. read more

Avoid this is the dealership. If you're worried about getting taken advantage of when shopping for a used vehicle, Olin Christian, salesman, is the poster child for the derogatory "used car salesman" stereotype. I bought a 2020 Ram 3500 in December, 2022. The carfax showed that the computer had been "flashed" which means reset so it doesn't show any problem indicator messages. I asked about it and of course "nothing to worry about" was the explanation. WRONG!! Within a couple weeks it was in the shop for a $4400 repair. Then a week later back again for batteries, apparently there are two... another $400 and was told I'll have a $1700 service coming up... none of which is covered by the $5000 insurance policy I purchased with the vehicle. I understand I'm buying a used vehicle and it's not going to be perfect, but this is ridiculous. Turns out, the dealership knew about these upcoming repairs and that is the real reason they "flashed" the computer - to get rid of the warning notices. When confronted they denied, lied, and then they got confrontational. "They" is Olin, the salesman, and the service manager whose name I do not know. The only redeeming person at this dealership is Jessica Simental in finance. She is thorough, conscientious, and honest. She should find a better place to work. I'm fairly certain she is underappreciated there. If it were not for her this review would be 1 star instead of 2. read more

The service department was good, but the technician they had come out to talk to me had an attitude and then said I'm just an apprentice. Issue- The TPS sensor goes in and out while driving but will read while sitting still and on initial startup. I took it in to get looked at and told them about the issue. They couldn't do anything, and the apprentice told me that my aftermark (Cold air intake) was causing a problem with TPS. Since it is not throwing a code right now, they can do nothing about it. That is the problem; it only throws the code when driving for about 30 minutes, so they will never see it. But the apprentice continued to act as if it was my fault and I was lying. This type of service is not warranted and shouldn't be allowed. The truck is not even a year old, and they won't do anything about it because it is not throwing the code. Who would lie about a TPS going bad?. Just do your part and replace it. Get better technicians without attitude to explain the issue. Believe in your customers. read more

Most of my repairs have been excellent. I had some major work done on my Durango of over $5000. Car was returned to me dirty and had to be detailed. Dealer relies on text for updates. This place is an absolute joke! Took my truck in for warranty work. Ended up getting some preventative maintenance done . My service advisor was Michael. I was quoted a price and have that in writing. Come time for payment and the price increased by several hundred dollars for absolutely no reason. I paid it so I could get my truck back. I spoke with the service manager Adam and he said the amount paid was incorrect, he would adjust the invoice on Monday and call me back when a refund check was ready . It's been almost TWO MONTHS , I have now called over ten times , left voicemails, sent text messages and have had ZERO response back from Adam . Spoke with another manager Todd who promised me he was going to go make Adam call me back within 10-15 minutes and to stay near my phone. Welp , over a week since and still no contact from anyone . This place is an embarrassment to dealerships and will screw you over. Bought three vehicles from here but I guess the days of customer loyalty are long gone. Subject: Scott-Red Jeep Liberty Made a 9 am appointment for Thursday , for 2004 Jeep Liberty for a/c service. Received a text from Colby, stating if I had concerns pls text him. About 4pm, I texted to find out if it's ready. No response. About ten minutes later I text again. Nope no answer. It's about 4:30 , got to pick up dog from groomer. So I called,ask for Colby. Another guy answers the phone. His response was to tell me,Colby was really busy today. This is not an overnight service unless you are informing the customer. The gentleman said Colby will call me back when he gets a chance. Well I'm home with the dog, have had my dinner and snack, it's 10:22 pm. If Colby calls you,let me know,because I haven't heard a word. Day 2- still no response via text or call. I called at 10:30 on Saturday. Guess who answered--Colby. He has no knowledge of me or my car. He goes to check. Freon has been refilled. Now checking compressor which may need to be replaced. I ask about cost he doesn't know, but will look into it. Will get back with me. I told him I'll be expecting his call. Finally calls compressor gone bad, and will take five days for a replacement.. And run a thousand dollars. Ok at this point a day service is now two, with the possibility of being seven days. Maybe it's just me, but no one has asked if I can bring car back this week, offer a loaner or to do my errands. I ordered the parts that were delivered to dealership about 1 pm. No one has taken the package where it goes, and a message left for Colby to expect the package,has not gotten it retrieved until I called about 1:30pm. Of all the things Colby couldn't tell me,he was able to tell me my car had been there three days. Actually I've been inconvenienced five days now. If I could give less than one star I would. My father had his truck serviced in the past for an oil change and it came back leaking like a sieve and he had to bring it back. Just recently he brought it in for a recall service and a tire rotation. They FORGOT to tighten the lug nuts on one of his tires so after a mile on the way home the truck shimmied and the lug nuts SHEARED OFF. He's lucky he didn't lose the tire on the freeway! Very disappointed in the service we received from this company. We had been looking for Tesla and shopping around. We never came across one we liked till we saw one at Mac Haik Temple. Was exactly what we had been looking for. Called my bank for financing and immediately after called the dealership. It was a Friday afternoon and spoke to a young lady Cynthia. She sent me videos and was asked to send the purchase order to send to the bank for financing and to send over payment. Never got order on Friday so I followed up Saturday and I was asked to go in. I had my daughters football game and said I would go after but needed purchase order. Cynthia said they were having issues with system. I went in after 3 on Saturday and was given purchase order. My bank was closed by then and I sent anyway. Told Cynthia I was worried about losing car and she said not to worry. Spoke to Chance the manager. Explained I had a medical procedure on Monday and that bank would be reaching out for sending money on Monday. He said no problem to pick up on Tuesday. Monday I finalized with bank and they were reaching out. I had my procedure and called later that day. Cynthia and Chance would not return my calls nor text. Called my bank on Tuesday and said they could not get ahold of them. I called dealership and was told Cynthia quit on Monday and that they sold the car. Asked to speak to Chance and he was off. Spoke to a Micheal who was a manager and he was no help. Said he didn't know what happened and would find out. Sent me a link to another Tesla that was older, more miles and none of the features the other car had and was $2,000 more. I declined and he said he would fix it and call me and I never heard from him again. Wednesday Cynthia text me and says the car was sold out fom under her. Said it's a common practice there and she was upset as she was losing her sale and quit. I can't blame her and such a shady practice. I wished her well and can say I'm very disappointed in the way they do business. I was later told a friend worked there and they told to do that to guarantee sale and sell another vehicle as they have already been approved and have the money. We bought a used Jeep and brought it to Mac Haik for diagnostic on the transmission it was slipping and brake job. We paid $150 to have the car diagnosed. kyle thr service guy wasn't listening to us and we had to repeat ourselves that we didn't want anything fixed until we knew it was worth repairing. Kyle called back and said the transmission was dirty and needed flushed and the brakes needed to be fixed.There were other things that needed to be done but nothing bad enough to keep us from keeping the car. After spending $1000, I drove it off the lot and the same transmission issues were still happening. When I called Kyle back he was very defensive. I hung up on him I don't tolerate defensive service workers. My husband called him back, he then tells us he doesn't know if the transmission was bad or not it would have to be looked at... WE PAID for it to be looked at and give us a detail report of what it needed. Adam the manager said to bring it back and he would look at it again. We took it back only to find out the transmission is bad and it would cost an additional $5000! Had they done their job in the first place we wouldn't have worked on the car and known it wasn't worth salvaging. I called the manager Adam back 2 times and he never answered my call. I showed up at 7 am for an oil change and I was the 2nd customer. I didn't get out until 2 hours later and they also broke my lug nut key. I was told to contact my dealership for another key. I was charged $65 from my dealership and they aren't charging labor to bust off my other lug nuts. Mac haik refused to cover the cost of replacing my lug nut key they broke! They have held my car ransom for over three weeks, claims they lost the check from the insurance to cover all of the repairs and keeps ordering incorrect parts time after time. The prices are high and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I inquired about the free WiFi they advertise on their website to the young girl in the service department working at the cashiers desk on Jan 11th 2016 (Elizabeth). She said that she doesn't know the password but the WiFi doesn't need a password. I informed her that it does in fact need a password for the machaikcdjcustomer profile. She just says "well, I don't know" and just went back to doing whatever she was doing before. Good (or maybe even decent) customer service would have gone something like this: "I'm not sure why you're having issues logging on to the customer WiFi account. Let me call someone to see if there is a password or if the router needs to be restarted. Please have a cup of coffee and I'll let you know if there is something we can do." As I am writing this, she is complaining to her coworkers about her job here. She misses working for her dad and hates answering the phone. I'm all for people airing their grievances to coworkers, but not within earshot of customers.
