Great options and super quick spot to get lunch! I loved all of the options on the menu and can't wait to go back to try a different item.

I've been randomly following Mac Mart on Instagram for 10 years now so was delighted to learn that it was around the corner from our hotel during our most recent visit to Philly. After a long day, we stopped in and shared an order of their classic mac and cheese to hold us over before dinner. The cheese sauce was insanely rich and thick. It was really delicious. For me, this mac and cheese is more of a side, not a meal because of how decadent it is. My husband and I shared about 3/4 of the container before deciding that was enough. The inside is fast casual style and there are a couple of seat. The service was prompt and friendly.

I've been coming here since they opened. I'm from NYC but every time I'm in Philly I make sure to stop by them. I have brought students, professors, colleagues, family, and friends here. No one has ever been disappointed. It's a family business and they are amazing people. The Mac n cheese is great. I've tried a few different ones over the years and I've liked them all. Creamy, crunchy, and saucy. I also pre-order their fried Mac n cheese. I dream about it. You have to give it a try.

You'd really think this would be a Philly staple but AFAIK I've never heard any hoopla about Mac Mart. I'd passed it so many times that I decided I needed to try it. I'd certainly have tried a few more things on the menu and didn't give it a fair shake all of this time. It seems like the owner himself may have been working and he was friendly -- felt nice to support a small business in the hustle of such a hectic part of the city. One entree was more than enough for two to share!

This has been a favorite of mine for years now! I try and stop here a lot when I am in the city and it is good every single time! The have so many fun Mac options but the Truffle Shuffle is by far my favorite! The space is small but really fun! Your food is ready pretty quickly. I usually get mine to go but they also have a small counter to eat at! Make sure to stop here next time you are in the mood for Mac & Cheese, you will not regret it! I have not tried it but I saw yesterday that you can order trays for the holidays, which is such a fun idea for something to bring to a party or if you are hosting!

Got the jalapeno popper Mac and cheese and it had the strongest flavor of processed cheese which was definitely not the most appetizing. Every single Mac and cheese is made with the same base and then topped with different add ons to change up the flavor profile but I gotta say there was definitely next to no jalapeño flavors coming through. They churn out the food fast though so if you're in a hurry this is the spot to come to because I ordered, turned my back for ten seconds and then my food was ready. The man who gave me my order was helpful in telling me that the container it was in was microwaveable. Unfortunately the Mac and cheese reheated was pretty bad, probably because the crumbs atop got soggy and mixed into the Mac made it all super lumpy. Was definitely disappointed because I loved the sound of alot of the menu items for all their creativity but the execution was lacking.

I really enjoy ordering from this place! Staff is always friendly. I have sat in the restaurant and ate a couple times but there's very limited seating so I prefer to just eat it at home. Convenient location to eat in if you need a quick place to stop in Rittenhouse! My go to is usually the Chicken Bacon Ranch Mac but decided to try the Honey Siracha Chicken Mac and it did not disappoint!

I ordered the truffle Mac and cheese. Very tasty. Must have when you are downtown. The containers are microwave friendly if you don't finish your meal- the menu has creative Mac and cheese options. Owner Garrett is friendly and helpful when it comes to the menu. Seating is available, where you can people watch as you eat. Must try when you are in downtown Philly.

I really hate to leave a negative review on a small, local business, but I just don't think the food tastes good. Everything else is great - packaging, service, ambiance - but the cheese/roux has a very artificial, "goopy" quality to it. Unfortunately, I would not recommend.

This was a great quick lunch that fed my soul. Really loved the ability to make my own mac n cheese flight. And perfect to share. The staff was also so friendly, and told us all about their wedding catering options -- a great late night food option...

I ordered this food through delivery to work and it came pretty quick and still warm with a hefty serving, but the quality of the food was with mixed results. The jalapeno popper mac and cheese didn't taste great, it wasn't bad per say, I did finish it because I paid for it, but it tasted off and the texture was mushy. The buffalo mac and cheese reheated well the next day and tasted better. The mac itself still had a sort of sticky-mushy texture to it, but the buffalo sauce was good and the chicken was fine as well.

The flight packaging is terrible and has been for months. The sad part is the owner knows and says it but hasn't attempted to fix it. She sits on social media attacking those who tell them privately they need to change it. Instead of spending time trying different packaging. The packaging doesn't label clearly what one is what, is in foil so not microwave safe. A lot of product sticks to the cupcake foil. The product is good but the owners attitude is terrible and efforts to fix issues are non existent while she tries to trash people on social media. I told her privately about the problem, she spends extensive time on social media but not respecting her customers or fixing problems! Lazy and arrogant! Lost a loyal customer! One that gave them an excellent review viewed by hundreds.

The mac was honestly pretty average. We felt kind of cat fished by their instagram. The menu in person didn't have as much to choose from.

We asked for the toppings on the side because, you know, kids, but WOW. The vodka sauce was delicious, and the pickled tomato concoction that came with them? I could've bathed in it. The calamari was perfectly crisp and came with the unexpected bonus of onion rings, which were ever-so-lightly battered and perfectly crunchy. And once again, the sauces were superb. The boys shared a cheese pizza, half pepperoni, and really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the burger, and yes, I stole a bite--and yes, to no one's surprise, it was amazing. We also ordered the charred broccoli after seeing everyone rave about it online. They were NOT wrong. Creamy, smoky, charred perfection. And finally... drumroll please... the 10 oz. smoked Duroc pork chop! OH. EM. GEEE. Perfectly charred on the outside and incredibly juicy inside, sitting in the most delicious smoky morita-apricot glaze and topped with a bright cucumber-melon salad with mint and blue basil. The contrast was perfection! The rich, smoky pork, the sweet and slightly spicy glaze, and that cool, fresh salad on top. Every bite had the perfect combination of flavors and textures. Easily one of the best pork chops I've ever had. As wonderful as the food was, the service somehow made the experience even better. From the minute we arrived, we were treated like family coming home for the holidays. Warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. What an absolute joy of a restaurant. Darling Jack's, I WILL be back!

The Love is better. The space is beautiful, the service is consistently warm, and Stephen Starr's fingerprints are all over it. I love the painted white brick, the floral artwork along the walls, the street-level energy, and the outdoor seating. I also remember taking the elevator upstairs once. I can't remember whether we actually stayed and ate up there or asked to move back downstairs, but the space was charming and extremely private. It would be a great setting for a group dinner or event. Personally, I prefer downstairs. It's darker, livelier, and I like being at street level. The menu historically leaned more heavily into elevated Southern comfort food, which has never been my favorite style of cooking. That's probably why I've tended to prefer The Love for lunch over dinner, especially when Philadelphia has so many Starr restaurants competing for the same night out. I used to get what I remember as a salmon and farro bowl, although the menu appears to have evolved since then. Whatever the exact iteration was, I loved it. Fish and farro are both right in my wheelhouse. I've also enjoyed the kale salad and other lighter dishes. The thing I remember most vividly, though, is the cornbread. It is outrageously good and reason enough to order something for the table. I also give Starr credit for continuing to broaden the range of food styles in his portfolio. Once you've built restaurants across Italian, French, Mexican, English, steakhouses, seafood, and the rest, there are only so many obvious boxes left to check. The Love feels like its own lane: distinctly American, approachable, comfort-driven, and still polished enough to feel like a Starr restaurant. Looking at the menu now, it seems broader than I remember, with more options that appeal to me, and I'd be psyched to go back. The Love probably isn't the first Starr restaurant I'd choose purely based on cuisine, but that says more about the depth of his Philadelphia portfolio than it does about this restaurant. The room, hospitality, location, and execution are all excellent. I'd happily come here any day. Starr doesn't miss.

Crispy on the outside but light and airy inside. I'd definitely order all these things again! The salted butter latte was also delish. The watermelon spritz was very refreshing. The chai espresso martini was very intense with anise flavor, but it was super unique and worth trying. Service is order at the counter & you get a number for your table. A few days before the birth of our first child, one of my oldest friends came down from Brooklyn…read morefor what we understood would be my final properly indulgent night before parenthood. We have known each other since we were five, lived together in New York for six years, and stayed close through marriages, children, and jobs that occasionally made us question our sanity. He has seen me at my absolute best and worst, and he was also the person who helped me get fit and regain some discipline while we worked in finance and used excess to numb the misery of those jobs. Choosing Butcher & Singer gave the evening exactly the ceremonial weight it deserved. Steakhouses take on different meanings as you move through life. In your early twenties, an expense account dinner feels like the dream: free drinks and an extravagant meal while you are broke, eating ramen, and sitting at the bottom of the professional food chain. By your early thirties, after enough wining and dining in Midtown Manhattan, the ritual can feel exhausted, and another steakhouse dinner holds little appeal. In your early forties, with young children and fewer unstructured nights, catching up with a lifelong best friend over a great steak feels incredibly meaningful, partly because neither the dinner nor the friendship needs to become a weekly habit. That contrast was especially fitting because my friend is remarkably health-conscious and frugal despite being tremendously successful. He seldom strays from his disciplined diet, while I have historically been much more willing to wander toward fries, dessert, and whatever reckless topping appears on the menu. A traditional steakhouse lets both people leave satisfied: one can order a lean steak and vegetables, while the other can treat the table as permission to suspend judgment for two hours. We shared the same celebratory dinner, but our plates still reflected exactly who each of us had always been. Inside, Butcher & Singer delivers the classic steakhouse fantasy with extraordinary conviction. The soaring ceiling, monumental columns, and amber lighting give the dining room a glamorous scale, while the dark wood, painted murals, and small shaded lamps keep all that grandeur from becoming severe. This is where Stephen Starr's judgment becomes especially apparent, because both Butcher & Singer and nearby Barclay Prime depend on concepts that could age badly: one could become stuffy and antiquated, while the other could become glossy and artificial. Instead, Butcher & Singer still feels transportive, Barclay Prime remains contemporary and cool, and each succeeds because the design, service, and atmosphere are executed with total confidence. Our meal included what I believe was a Caesar salad, filet mignon, asparagus, fries, and a rich chocolate fudge cake. I added a blue cheese garnish to my steak, a completely unnecessary flourish that became the crown jewel on an already excellent piece of meat, while my friend kept his side of the table considerably cleaner. Parc creates a useful third point in Starr's small Rittenhouse constellation: its bar steak and burger offer a more casual form of red meat, somewhere between an ordinary dinner and the full ceremony of Butcher & Singer or Barclay Prime. I appreciate both, but a burger leaves me feeling heavier, while a properly cooked lean steak can feel filling and indulgent without ruining the rest of the night. Only one detail could have improved our experience. We sat at a small table near the host stand and the clock, which was comfortable and entirely reasonable for a table for two, but it left us slightly outside the dramatic center of the room. This was no one's fault, merely the kind of learned preference that comes from seeing the full room afterward and knowing where I would request to sit on a future visit. I hope to return when the budget allows, settle farther inside among the leather booths, glowing lamps, and sweep of the murals, and once again let Butcher & Singer make a rare night with an old friend feel worthy of savoring.

The table shared the hash brown which was absolutely delicious and by far one of the best items I've had at a steakhouse potato wise. We also ordered the asparagus and the seasonal corn dish. For dessert we had peanut butter tart, cheesecake, and ice cream. Over all this was a great experience and I would definitely come back.
