Wow is this food good. When people heard we were serving street truck Mac N Cheese at a fancy event, I got a lot of raised eyebrows. Not a single person questioned the choice after the first bite. With so many vegan and veggie options, our guests were gushing about Alfredo and his crew. Aside from the food, I have to say, these guys were incredible to work with. It was POURING rain, and they set up a tent outside the truck and got to work as if the torrential rain was just a drizzle. They worked so hard and made such delicious food. I can't say enough about them.

Wow, this is expensive but wow, this is GOOD! http://bit.ly/37dx7HT Okay, technically it's the toppings that increase the price but I couldn't help myself with the toppings. Everything sounded so good! They have 9 protein options, 4 which are vegan. There are also 6 veggie toppings, all of which are vegan. We ordered the Vegan Mac N Cheese made with cashew cheese ($8.75), added Vegan Ham ($2.75) and Brussels Sprouts ($2.75) for a hefty total of $15.60. All that said, I'm not too mad at the price because a regular non-vegan mac n cheese is offered at the same price. So props to this place for not charging "vegan tax." Plus the portion is pretty filling. Eating here was a spontaneous decision while hanging out on York Blvd in Highland Park on a Saturday night. I'm rarely in this area so I'm glad that we had the opportunity to check out this food truck.

Greatest mac - and I mean the vegan mac. It's ruined all other mac for me, and as a 5 year old trapped in an adult's body, that's been something for me to get over. I always catch them on York, and if I'm in Los Angeles for holidays they usually offer delicious giant vegan mac platters that are a big hit with family and friends. They put together a very nice bowl for you that's perfect to eat right there or to-go.

We ordered Mac n cheese w/cauliflower. Burnt cauliflower, leftover kale from one of their previous orders, and something brown?

I'm reading the reviews and.. what? What am I missing? We ordered two regular Macs, one with tomatoes and one with cauliflower. The Mac and cheese tastes like Jack in the box's newest menu item that should cost $2.99. I had to season the Mac when we got home (WHY WAS IT SO DRY. WHO ARE THE POSITIVE REVIEWS FROM? DO YOU ALL HATE CREAMY MAC AND CHEESE??) and ate it because we refused to waste $24. I don't understand. Yelp reviews, why did you mislead me? Was is it an off night? Are they rebelling against flavor? I love Mac and cheese and it makes me sad to leave this review :(.

It took a few minutes to order but the guys in the truck were filling orders. Wait for mac and cheese about 5 minutes. Got the pork belly mac and cheese. Worth it the pork bel li y just shredded. The bacon and onion was declared a winner by my son. Really want to try the vegan nut cheese next time. It does end up pricey the base is 8.95 then add toppings at prices ranging from a few dollars to almost ten. Adds up quick.

Ribs + Kale Mac & Cheese. BOMB 2 Options- Regular & Vegan Great Customer Service. Amazing Food. Never had Mac & Cheese like this before

Great Customer Service! First time here and they were great to explain what options they offer, which proteins & veggies were popular and are very comfortable & proud of their food they offer. A bit pricey for me for a food wagon but, well worth every penny here. You won't be disappointed. I went with the Ribs + Kale M & C and boy was I satisfied!!! Yum Yum!!!

Oooooo this truck is a hidden gem if you ever in eagle rock you have to give the vegan mac. I tried almost all the vegan proteins options my favorite is definitely the vegan duck is sooo fire it's a must try. The service is always amazing just like the food. The atmosphere on York blvd is always a vibe in that small area between 50 and 51st street. I'm sure all the vegan heads know about this hidden gem.

This food truck was at the LA vegan exchange on Sunday. They have cashew based cheese mac and cheese. You can get it plain or add toppings to it for extra $. Some of the choices were mushrooms, brussel sprouts, vegan ham, vegan pepper steak and vegan duck. My husband and I ordered mac and cheese with vegan pepper steak. It was delicious! The cashew cheese was very tasty and creamy. I really liked it!! The vegan pepper steak was even better! It was fantastic, tasty, full of flavor and texture was just like steak! The combination of these both was perfect. I could eat this mac and cheese everyday. It's that good! The servings were good, plenty of food. Plus the price seemed just about right for the amount of food we got. Total price was $12.

Vegan mac & cheese ($8.50). Oh, wow. Creamy, savory, addictive and delicious. Get this.

I got to try Mac n' Cheese Rebel at the Vegan Sunday market in North Hollywood and wow, it's good. At an event that had at least five other vendors serving vegan mac and cheese Mac n' Cheese Rebel stood out with an extra creamy, savory and addictive offering. Their base vegan option costs $8.50 and is worth every penny. If you're at Vegan Sunday, go to Mac n' Cheese Rebel and skip the other places.

AMAZING!!! They have Vegan and non vegan mac and both are DELICIOUS!! I got the vegan mac with fried onions and it was sooo creamy amd flavorful, I know I will be craving it soon. My friend got regular mac with bacon and he said it was one of the best he's had! The owners are awesome and the chef is gifted! Go try it for yourself, it's a MUST!

Something to note is that they don't yet have their liquor license (and are in the process of it being approved), but don't let that take away from their delicious food and stellar service. My family and I came in today, middle of the afternoon so a bit slow, to a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Our server Jaime opened the door to the restaurant for us and personally showed us to our table. Despite the restaurant being quiet, Jaime was incredibly attentive and recommended several dishes to us, all of which were great. First, the appetizers: the fried zucchini chips are lightly dusted with truffle and are paired with a delicious garlic aioli that really whets your appetite. They were crispy and savory, a perfect start to the meal alongside the crispy rice tuna, which are a bit like poke nachos, except the chips are seaweed rice crackers that give a crunchy and welcome spin on the dish. The mango drizzled with eel sauce also added a nice sweet element that paired nicely with the slightly spicy tuna. Second, our entrees, which included the burger, chicken penne pasta, and chicken tikka masala: the burger was juicy and savory, including lettuce, tomato, pickles and cheese, and is one of the better burgers I've tasted recently. It comes paired with some thin fries that are perfectly salted, as well as a side of ketchup, of course. I ordered the chicken penne pasta, though when it first came out, I saw it had linguine instead of penne. Before I even said a word, Jaime took notice and immediately apologized, bringing back the correct order within minutes. He was incredibly kind and professional about it all. The penne was cooked al dente and served with a delicious vodka sauce that really made the dish. The dried tomatoes also added a light sweetness that balanced out the chicken. Finally, my favorite dish was the chicken tikka masala. Other reviews praised this dish, and so my father, not a fan of Indian food, decided to take a chance on it. It was the best dish we ordered! Everyone wanted some due to the two distinct sauces on the plate, one almost like a jam with a citrusy taste, and of course the curry itself, which should be noted is not at all spicy, and has a wonderfully balanced flavor making it suitable for anyone to eat. It was so good, I wish I had ordered it. If you come here and only order one thing, make that your pick. Once again, thank you Jaime for making our experience so memorable! Jaime is a seasoned waiter who has worked many restaurants in the LA area, so we are familiar with him. He is such a pleasure to have as a server who not only gave great advice on the food, but was also conversational and cordial the whole way. We will be coming back!

We came as a large group & sat in the outside back patio. We shared tasty crispy Brussels sprouts, and the fresh Asian ahi poke nachos (on dried green seaweed chips), grilled cheese balls, and delicious oxtail bone marrow tacos. Our dinners ranged from the grilled branzino, miso-glazed salmon, mushroom pasta, and an amazing 1/2-lb burger (amongst other dishes). It was an eclectic culinary assortment, and everyone loved their meals. Chef Bryan also came out to greet us. So... the next night, just my husband and I returned for an intimate dinner inside. Again, the decor is not the best first impression, but we came for the food, and were not disappointed. This time we tried the truffle zucchini chips, the apple/pear/arugula salad with salmon, and the shrimp pasta - all were delicious! Bottom line: this is a hidden gem worth returning to.

My boyfriend loves their breakfast tacos (super hearty, 2 would be enough but a 3rd was taken home). Super generous portion with their cooked meat on top - SO good (classic bacon, or their mole and barbacoa). The Chipotle chilaquiles were absolutely delicious! I've never had an authentic Chipotle sauce taste like that... super creamy, and homemade, not overtly smoky like you usually have at other places. We also had their cafe de olla cold brew (since it was a hot summer heat wave), and it was good - classic with their cafe de olla spices - but I'm sure their classic hot cafe de olla is even better. I believe I've gotten their other regular brunch items, but wish I just opted for their Mexican favorites since that's their bread and butter here. Great business. Great service. Love to support!

Unfortunately, the service has been consistently disappointing. Every time I visit, the staff seems uninterested, bothered, or inconvenienced by customers. There's rarely a warm greeting when you walk in, no welcoming energy, and often it feels like you're interrupting someone's day just by asking a question or placing an order. I understand that everyone has difficult days, and working in the restaurant industry isn't easy. But hospitality is a huge part of the dining experience. A simple smile, eye contact, a "hello," or making customers feel welcome goes a long way. The food deserves praise, but the service does not match the quality of what's coming out of the kitchen. Management may want to spend some time retraining and refocusing staff on customer service and hospitality. Customers should feel appreciated, not like they're a burden. I truly want to see this place succeed because Highland Park needs good local businesses, and the food is excellent. But after several visits with the same experience, I felt it was worth sharing honest feedback. Great food brings people in; great service keeps them coming back. I hope management takes this as constructive criticism and works to create a more welcoming experience for everyone who walks through the door.

Herby mayo, hot sweet peppers had a hint of spice, pastrami was soft and not too salty, egg was fluffy. It was a good bagel sandwich. However, I don't think I'd reorder this. LATKE Crispy and savory. The sourcream and apple sauce together was delicious. Absolutely loved the apple sauce, which had a beautiful texture and sweetness that was addictive. The star was the applesauce! SALT BAGEL, EVERYTHING BAGEL, CACIO E PEPE, EVERYTHING PUMPERNICKEL BAGEL All of the untoasted bagels except the Cacio e Pepe, had a firm outer texture, a bit hard to tear apart with hands. Inside the bagels were dense, yet had a light chewy texture and not dry either. Toasted, they were even better. The outer crust was beautifully crispy and the inside bagel was soft and chewy. The beet cream cheese was delicious with all the bagels! Cacio e Pepe was soft all around, unlike the other bagels. Cacio e Pepe had a light cheese and black pepper crust. It wasn't full of cacio e pepe flavor right off the bat, but still enough to know what you're eating. If you ate only the top bagel, I think you'll get the best of this bagel. Still good all around, even toasted. I think it will be great as a bagel sandwich. Everything Pumpernickle had a good pumpernickle flavor in addition to the everything seasonings. This is whipped cream cheese with roasted beet puree. Light in beet flavor, it had dill in it too. I was hesitant in getting a tub because it was on the pricier side. But it was so good, glad I got it! SEATS / AMBIANCE It had a lovely East Coast diner feel when walking in. But still, the space felt a bit cluttered. There were booths, counter seats and outdoor seats too. It was packed inside on a Wednesday lunch. Got there before noon. CUSTOMER SERVICE Overall good, friendly service. Staff was smiling and that's always a good thing! Went on a Wednesday before noon, but it was nearly packed. PARKING Horrible. Just horrible. Street parking only. There's a few spots directly in front of Belle's, but it's metered parking too and also it was full. It's parking that always makes or breaks your experience when driving to LA. After driving around to find a decent parking spot, I finally found one close to Belle's, but after parking, I realized it was a loading zone. So hurried to get my food to go and just ate in the car. Overall, I enjoyed the bagels here and would love to return for their bagels and lunch offerings.
