He's very honest and does his best to work with you whether it's your budget or your schedule - he'll still give you the best service possible. I submitted a yelp project detailing the issue and Marco reached out to me stating what he thought could be potential causes, not one of those automatic responses that requires you to schedule an in person visit before you could get any kind of information. The next day, he dropped by, tested everything, replaced a few parts, couldn't fix the problem which ultimately led to the decision that we needed our unit replaced. If you are looking for an hvac guy, look no further than Marco! Our hvac need replacement, this is something that don't happen often and we are not financially ready. Glad we found Marco's company, MAC Tech. He's an easy guy to have conversation with, straight to the point and have the best price! But days before this, we had a tech from another company came over to check why our unit blows hot air. This visit cost us $49. and offered us a leak check for about $1800, and if its the same coil leak as five years ago, it's going to be $3,400 repair since it's not covered by warranty anymore! Took me a few days to decide that we need a new unit, mainly because we don't have cash laying around. Also, repairing it will only be a temporary fix. When Marco came over he did not charge a fee, he talks to you like a brother and explain well what's going on and how your HVAC works. Right then I know this is the guy we are looking for. Took them a few hours to install our unit, left the house clean like they never been here. Very professional workers! Oh, they also fix the drain pan and unclogged the pipe! Marco, MAC Tech LIC#0088717, provided exceptional customer service to me throughout the entire project by providing great communication, patience, availability and knowledge. He prioritized my miserable situation of no AC during the hottest week in Las Vegas. Although he was on the other side of town when I initially contacted him, he wasted no time getting to my house so that he could quickly troubleshoot my AC issues. I like to ask a lot of questions and have the technical explanations spelled out to me & Marco was very professional, taking the time to explain to me in depth, exactly what the issues were and how to best resolve them. He made my wife and I feel comfortable that he knew what he was talking about. Over the years, my house has never really cooled or heated properly in all the rooms which has been extremely frustrating. My neighbor who has the same house as mine experiences the same issue. Marco determined that when the house was built, the air ducts were improperly installed due to lack of space in the attic at the coil side limiting airflow. He devised a solution to eliminate this issue by constructing an additional plenum so that the air ducts could be properly installed to provide the necessary air flow. I decided it was best to replace the entire AC/heating system seeing that it was the original system that came with my house 28 years ago and no longer worth repairing or efficient to today's standards. It's a split system; my condenser unit is outside and the coil and heating unit are located in my attic. Marco was able to quickly locate the proper AC/heating unit I desperately needed during a time when available resources were extremely limited. He and his team also made themselves available a day sooner than originally scheduled to quickly get the unit installed. They arrived early in the morning before the height of the days heat & were able to replace the old system within a matter of 6 hours without compromising any quality of the install. Marco and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish and the completed install was like a work of art; very clean especially with sealing up all the ducts in the attic and replacing all the parts outside from the condenser to the side of my house. Can't say enough how pleased we are with Marco and his team. Our AC were having troubles for a couple of weeks. If it's not our ceiling is leaking where the AC filter are then it's the entire AC going out. It was rather annoying and stressful especially the AC died. Obviously we are in Vegas so having working AC is rather important for us and our furbabies. After the first one died then fixed, the following week the other unit died. Since it was a Friday night, we can't get our current AC tech at the time to come fix the problem. It was ridiculous. That tech from the other company literally cut a rectangular hole on our ceiling the first time he came out to fix the water dripping problem but only to tell us it's a plumbing issue and the reason it's dripping was because of the toilet located above was leaking and he tighten it up so it's no longer a problem. That's BS, the toilet was not leaking and especially to the extent of soaking through the ceiling to come out conveniently at the AC unit. But it did stop dripping so I left it as that until a week later it was dripping again. The same tech CUT ANOTHER rectangular hole on my ceiling and said our AC has this part problem and that part problem as it's old and rusted at certain parts. So OK, let's replace both units as we do know it's a bit old. The tech then gave a walk through with my partner pointing out how much damage there are internally including the air ducts and other parts that we do not understand. When he looked in our attic's unit, he claimed a pillar is in the way to change out that unit so he will need to return the next day with their construction person. However, the meantime without the additional construction work, the quote is $29,800. We live in a townhouse that isn't huge but has 3 floors. I had never liked that tech or the company he is with but my partner is the one dealing with him and the situation and he likes the tech because he is "cool". When it's couple hundreds to NOT fix the dripping problem and cutting two holes on my ceiling drywall...whatever that makes my partner happy. However, when it's $29,800+ more!!! No. My partner was going to go for it but I hurried and found MAC Tech on yelp. It was already 5pm when I called him hoping for anyone else opinion on the approximate cost would be for my home. After talking to Marco who was very patient with me, he explained all the things needed and "included". The high end would be about $18k. Which is more than $10k less from the other company was trying to charge us. I pleaded with Marco to please come by to my home the same day and do a walkthrough before the other tech comes back with his construction guy for the final estimate as I "know" my partner will just go along with it as he is horrible at saying no or confrontation. Sigh. Well Marco came over at 7:30pm after hours and walkthrough the entire house with us pointing out where the dripping problem was coming from (OUR AC NOT PLUMBING) and responded to my question about the holes on my ceiling was NOT necessary. Go figure. The pillar in our attic did not need to be cut as it's not in the way. And all the parts the other tech said that needs to be replaced but it's individually extra aside from the AC unit turns out to be all included when getting a new AC unit. Insane? Marco was very through and honest with us on everything and gave us his estimate. Again, it's more than $10k cheaper than the other guy/company. We were very grateful and he actually came out 3 days after with his team and took care of everything in matter of hours!! They were efficient and know what they are doing. Everyone is so cool and polite as well. We can't be more happy with MAC Tech. Aside from the wonderful customer service, beyond reasonable pricing and knowledge of the HVAC...they will not leave you hanging on when they will take care of your problem for you. Simply awesome. I rarely leave reviews but I was very pleased with the service received from MAC Tech. Asked for a quote to replace insulation outside from one company and received around ten replies. Marco was the only one who responded with an actual number, which I really appreciated. After a few messages, I scheduled an appointment and decided to do an annual maintenance on the units while he was out here. Marco showed up on time and texted me when he was on his way. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything he was going to do. The system was in good condition and the insulation looked great when he was finished. The air in the house coming out of the vents is colder now which I can only attribute to the coil cleaning of the outside units. I can't believe the difference! He measured the temperatures coming out of the vents and it showed 39-42 degrees which I thought was excellent. It could be cooler too, as the only issue Marco noted was that the refrigerant could be topped off and we decided to add it next year. If you are in the need of anything HVAC related, do yourself a favor and at least contact Marco and see if he can be of service. They all reached out right away but Marco was one of the only ones that didn't charge a fee to come look and give a quote. He came out right away and was able to tell me what was wrong and what I needed in order to have cold air blowing again. I was having issues with my ac, so I went to yelp looking for the highest reviews and highest ratings like i always do. I sent a message to one of the big name companies and had them come out to diagnose my ac unit. I was told my compressor was going bad and had to be replaced. Got a quote and thought it was high, ridiculously high. I did research online before hand. I went back to yelp and sent messages to 5 other companies, which yelp does randomly, stating I wanted an estimate for a compressor replacement job. Mac tech was one them. They had the lowest amount of reviews...2....and thought I dont know about this lol, but Marco responded on yelp and I talked to him and he said he'd come out and double check the ac unit at no charge and he'll give me his quote. He found out it was indeed the compressor needing replacement, so he gave me a quote that was so much more reasonable and fair. I saved a lot. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions regarding the compressor and the price. So I hired him. He started the job immediately!! Same day. 6 hrs straight of non stop work and now my ac is blowing cold air again. He's a hard worker and I respect that.
