Even though I had some issues with my Ipad, I give them a 5 for customer service. I bought a used Ipad 2 for pretty cheap, and after a few days I noticed it had some issues. Out of the blue, the screen would start skipping around and clicking random things by itself. I brought it back eventually and they sent it to someone to fix it at no charge to me. They said they couldn't do it in house because it requires special facilities to do screen repair. They also offered a loaner Ipad while it was being worked on. When it was returned to me, the screen guy hadn't done a very good job, and a whole part of the screen didn't work. They apologized and said they would give me a different Ipad 2 when they had one in stock, and again offered me a loaner Ipad. A few days later I had a different Ipad 2 that works perfectly. So yeah, there were some issues, but they offered to fix it for free, offered to lend me an Ipad for no charge, and found a new Ipad 2 for me when the other repair person messed up, so I think they made the best out of a bad situation. read more

Stacy is always in the office and she keeps it running and provides great customer service. She helped me with both Macs I brought in. My first Mac is a 2013 Macbook Pro Retina. It has been a good computer but I had damaged the keyboard through general wear-and-tear and a bit of spilled tea. I visited MacBlowouts and they gave me a rapid fair quote of $150 to replace it. The repair process was supposed to be completed on Friday but unfortunately, these guys are overworked and undermanned. Their outsourced, off-site repair guy took took until Saturday morning to finish. My only real complaint was that I had to call in 3 times over Friday/Saturday to get updates from them. When I picked up my laptop, I shared that feedback and they graciously heard me. On Saturday, I picked up my Mac but by that evening, I found that the bottom-right corner of my keyboard wasn't installed properly. The right arrow key was sagging and was not easy to press. On Monday, I went back and left my computer in Ed and Stacy's hands. They were very understanding and told me the repair would take a few days. They understood my frustration and were going to do their best to make it right. The very next day they called me at noon and said my Mac was ready! I dropped by and found my keyboard was functioning properly and there were no additional fees. P.S. My other Mac is a 2008 unibody, Ed upgraded my RAM and replaced my battery for a great price. I also got a used Magic Mouse in mint condition for $40. Ed and Stacey's store stock so many parts and accessories for Macs. If for some reason they don't have what you are looking for, guaranteed they can get it. All in all, Macblowouts is a great store and though undermanned, they offer top-notch service and listen to their customers. I expect I will be back again if only to buy a used Macbook Air. read more

I took in my MacBook Pro in after discovering that it wouldn't power "on". Stephanie was very cordial and explained that Ed would have to take a look at it to diagnose what the problem was. She did ask if there's any chance of water spilling on the keyboard and I explained, "well yes, I do have two children, so I wouldn't rule it out." A few days later I received a call from Stephanie letting me know my laptop was ready. I met Ed personally and he explained that it was due to water entering the top of the keyboard. This is a follow-up to my review of 1/8/2016. Erik called me after I had posted the 1 star review and offered to refund my $50. I appreciated the offer and took them up on it. We discussed at length what proceedures they need to implement in the future, such as doing a backup of the customers computer if they are going to work on the hard drive. Perhaps also asking the customer to insure they do a backup before bringing the unit in. I hope they implement that policy as it would have gone a long way to helping me out of a lost data situation. I have changed the rating up to 2 stars as they did refund the charge, but can go no further as the result of their work was a trashed laptop and lost data. This was a unit I take on travel and has some older engineering Mac Classic programs that I have used over the years, that are not available anymore, and can not run on my main Intel based Mac. Since I have used them for years it easier to just transfer the results then to try and duplicate the programs on the newer Mac. So I usually don't back it up (I will now!). I did not try to have the unit repaired but purchased another on on Craigs list and spent quite a bit of time setting it up and of course it was not free. read more

I had my iPhone 5 Battery replaced as it would hardly hold any charge, I use my phone for everything so I needed to change it out. Eric was super helpful and changed the battery quick. He also told me that there was water damage at some point just so I was aware which was nice however I was the one who dropped the phone in the ocean several months before and it somehow still works. Phone has been working great to this day. The following week I took my iMac in to have the computer tuned up and to make sure it didn't have any virus' as I was going to start using it for my start up. I bought a 1st gen iMac 21.5 from them last week. That machine runs very good and the apple monitor is really top notch. Their price is very fair. When I compare it with these greedy sellers on local craigslist, this store wins in every aspect. They even has a 60 days warranty. I recommend this store. This place is a gem to fix Apple related issues. I had a RAM issue with my MacBook Air which the Apple store would take days to look at, fix and at a greater cost. A lot of other places could not fix the issue since the component is fused onto the motherboard. Excellent service. My daughter spilled a glass of water inside her MacBook Air (which was only a year old). The laptop worked fine for a couple days and then stopped working completely. My daughter initially dropped the computer off. The next day I spoke with Erik who was in the process of cleaning it up and running diagnostics on it. Everything was working fine which was a HUGE relief. He wanted to keep it another night so that they could do a stress test on it which would ensure that it was operating correctly.
