Machado Env. is the best company in all of S. Cal for anything related to duct cleaning, AC repair and placement and Heating system repair. We have been using them for years. My husband, Chuck, is a contractor and has used them more times then I can count for clients. They also do mold investigation and are great at it. We have used them for clients and for myself. I have personally used them for duct cleaning and AC repair at my home. They are always on time, their pricing is fair and they are super nice. The air ducts in my 1939 home had never been cleaned after 25 years. Machado Environmental did a great job. David and Nelson were terrific. David gave great advice about redirecting the air flow for maximum efficiency according to the layout of my home. They were efficient and cleaned up afterwards. It took about 3 hours which was a "small job" for them, but after they left I could tell it really made a difference with the air conditioning. And hopefully with the heat in the winter. I cannot speak highly enough about this company. In an industry full of fraudsters and incompetents, these folks are completely open, honest, and professional. We had a very unpleasant odor coming from our A/C, such that we could not bear to turn it on even in the recent 85-90 degree weather. David came and thoroughly checked the coil and all the ducts and said he could find nothing wrong. Then he insisted that we turn on the unit and lo and behold, there was no smell. Why? Who knows. But the point is that that there are many companies out there who would have done a useless cleaning at who knows what cost, and we would never have been the wiser. David said we didn't need a cleaning and there was no charge! When is the last time you heard that? I recommend them unequivocally. read more

I cannot recommend this company highly enough! They incredibly efficient, professional and polite. But even more importantly to me is their integrity. David and Nelson arrived promptly this morning, and after inspecting the air duct system in my home, they informed me with smiling faces that I did not need the scope of work that I thought I did. In addition to the poor quality of work, the workers who came into my home made a mess in my yard, stained my carpets, and were being very disrespectful the entire time. The duct registers in my small house had never been cleaned, so before this winter, I thought it a good idea to have them come out and do it. I was referred to Machado Environmental by my regular A/C-Heating service company. Kyle Machado asked how many registers I had and gave me a reasonable estimate, including cleaning my dryer hose. David and Nelson showed up on time and looked over all my ducts, taking pictures to show me how clean my ducts actually were. I had forgotten that when I had my roof redone, that company installed some new ductwork and that at another time, a few others had been replaced. After David checked with the owner, I was told that I really didn't need to have them serviced now and that I wouldn't be charged for the visit. Wow! I made my appointment 3 weeks in advance so someone would be home. They called 3 days before the appointment and wanted to move the time to later in the day so they could "squeeze in" another customer. That day they called and had to reschedule because the other job was larger than they thought and they wouldn't be able to come to my house. So I rescheduled. They came 3 hours early when I wasn't home. Then 20 minutes before my regularly scheduled time they called and and cancelled. NOT RELIABLE at all. read more

I am livid. I had scheduled an appointment with this company a couple weeks ago to come to my home to inspect my air ducts. I took off work for this appointment to be sure I could be here. I got a call the night before the appointment confirming as all business do but because I didn't answer the call to confirm they just went ahead and canceled the appointment! I have NEVER had a company do that. Not one single service that I use whether it's the dentist, dermatologist, my hair salon NO ONE would then go ahead and cancel a scheduled service appointment. People have busy lives. I work during the day and cannot answer every call that comes through my cell. If I needed to cancel, I would have called in advance. I want to give a shout out to this company. I needed my intake duct cleaned. They were recommended by my air conditioning company. They were very professional when I called to make my appointment. The guys showed up right on time and called me to tell me they were at my house. They took extra care to remove the vent cover which had been painted over and was pretty stuck to the wall. They did the work and put the cover back and you can't even tell that was it was removed. The guys were professional and did a great job. I would use them again and would recommend them. read more
