I had previously used them a few times to clean out a dryer vent at a rental property. The last time they serviced it, the technician cut the vent screen to access the dryer vent and did not fix/replace it. As a result, there was an opening between the 1st floor ceiling and the 2nd floor. A rat found its way above the ceiling and chewed through a drainage pipe from the upstairs shower. Cost me over $1k to fix the plumbing and rectify the rat issue. Never used them again, but I continue to receive emails and phone calls from Marlene after I have literally asked them at least 5-6 times to remove me from their contact list. I strongly do not recommend Fresh Aire Duct Cleaning. While the technicians were fine and did a solid job cleaning the ducts and the dryer vent, I was grossly overcharged by the company. Please get a number of quotes and look up Google and Yelp reviews before choosing to go with Fresh Aire. If I had done so in advance I could have had the same 8 ducts and dryer vent cleaned for ~$600 by A-1 Air Duct Cleaning in Glendale. That matches what every estimate online says is a fair and reasonable price. Unfortunately for me, I told George that I was a new home owner and didn't know how many ducts I had. As a result, he billed me $1670 for the job, more than $1000 more than A-1 (and A-1 has much better reviews). Shame on me for not doing enough due diligence. Shame on Fresh Aire for taking advantage and charging exorbitant prices. Eventually after I complained they gave me a $190 discount, but I saw another user on Yelp comment that for the same number of ducts and dryer vent he paid $1k and not the $1480 I eventually paid. read more

The dryer vent was also pretty clogged up. They sent a couple of guys and it took about four hours, but they were able to clean everything out. If I could give 0 stars, I would! The young man came out with the exact same equipment that we had used- and spent 30 min and was not able to clear the duct. Did not check the dryer to see if it was working properly. Turns out, it was the bathroom vent and not even the dryer vent! Still charged us $400 and provided no receipt. We called back several times to have another technician sent out and though they said they would, they never did send anyone. We ended up calling another company who charged us half of what Fresh Air did AND he solved the issue! read more

I used Fresh Aire to clean the vents in my bosses house at the end of 2021. Every human I contacted was professional, polite, and efficient. It felt streamlined from getting the first appointment, to the quote, to officially booking and the job being completed. They also sanitized all the vents. It was just very easy and the pricing seemed fair. Some companies tell you your vents have to be cleaned every year which can make vent cleaning seem like a service that is pushed on you but the team who handled the actual work was very real with me that every three years was probably fine (unless someone in the house had heavy allergies or if there was a fire resulting in lot of ash or soot in the vents, this happens in Southern California). Just had my AC/Heat ducts cleaned as well as the dryer vent. I was quoted $1040 for 9 duct vents + plus dryer vent. After the work was done by Brian and Ricky, I was told that the dryer vent work was minor and minimal therefore they discounted me $250!!! Who does that??? Clean, professional, honest! Poor service. Our center got a quote to clean our heating & air conditioning ducts at our place. The crew of 2 arrived performed cleaning of some but not all ducts. They said the quote did not include the ducts for the administrative area. Hello you walked into our admin area and main area. What sense does that make? They charged us over one $1,300 and it didn't include 3 ducts in the admin area. They literally came in with their vacuum cleaner and vacuumed 6 ducts. When I called to inform them that they forgot the 3 ducts they told me that that was not included. We asked them to give us a quote to clean our ducts ... not some ducts and not others. Then I get a call from Tom who states on my VM that he wants to come out to go over what was done but, when I called him back twice and left messages on his VM months go by and no return call. This is the last time we give them our money and since they did not respond several months later, I promised them a horrible review. Here it is! Communication - Poor Work completion - Poor Follow up - Poor Customer Service - Poor Taking our money - Excellent We will use any other company and never use them again. I booked this company to clean our dryer ducts for 3 units, including mine in our condo. I had told them that I have a stack able washer/ dryer and that my outside vent is 2 story high up. Carol advised me they can clean from inside or outside. She told me they have a 16 ft ladder. They called and said they were arriving early. I tried to adv my neighbors, but one was far away. It turned out to be a bad time for my downstairs neighbor as well, so we were considering doing his last. I brought them to show them my unit and was told they only had one set of movers that were given to another team, so they would have to re-schedule me. I was already not happy, but tried to take them to see the 3rd fl unit. Unfortunately since he was far, he couldn't make it home at that moment. With all these challenges, I thought it best to re-schedule. Carol had the nerve to write an email saying my neighbor downstairs told the scheduler he never agreed to today, which is a lie. In reality, the scheduler gave him the option of trying to do today or 3 weeks from now, which he said it's a bit inconvenient for him today and he will do it 3 weeks from now with everyone else. Carol also tried to say that we are responsible to pay $125 each for cancellation, but she will "waive" it given the circumstances. Not only did they cover up their own mistake, but try to lay blame on us instead. I would NEVER recommend anyone to work with them in dryer duct cleaning. read more

But when they pushed the dryer out then back in they smashed the vent. I brought it to their attention and they denied doing it. When I called the office to complain they were defensive. Laundry room is in an interior laundry closet, so there is about a 25 foot run from the dryer to the outside vent - the service was $190 for that distance, which was the low price I found. They stand behind their work and have competitive pricing. There was no airflow when they started, and now the airflow is completely excellent. I will be calling them for regular maintenance again next year. My wife and I live in a Hollywood house which is one hundred years old. ( BTW, it was the house which was used in the 1978 movie "Halloween", with Jamie Lee Curtis.). Anyway, when a house is that old, things tend to wear out. So, we had this company, "Fresh Aire Duct," out to clean out the air conditioning ducts, which had not been cleaned in at least 25 years. The "Fresh Aire" people worked like dogs for a full day, and were quite reasonable with the fee. (Also, they took pains to not track dirt into the house.) The results were nothing short of miraculous: the amount of air coming out of the vents was now three times as great as it had been. So about a year after that, when we realized that our clothes dryer vent system, which goes from the back of the dryer and ultimately goes out through the wall of the house, needed cleaning, we again called Fresh Aire. They did a great job in removing a ton of lint from the clothes dryer duct system. (BTW, clothes dryer lint is VERY flammable and results in lots of house fires every year.). The Fresh Aire Duct workers then gave me an interesting, short tutorial on how I can do some cleaning myself in the future, between scheduled cleanings every year or so. And again, their charges were very reasonable. The dryer now dries clothes much, much faster. In closing, I should point out that I have always been very suspicious, especially where MONEY is concerned, since the day I was born. ( Maybe that is why I became a lawyer...) Anyway, in this regard, there were numerous times when Fresh Aire Duct could have done unnecessary work, and for which I would have paid them, but they NEVER, EVER took advantage of my ignorance.
