This is a great place for really yummy large breakfast tacos. The whole family can find something to get here. they have fresh in house made salsa and aqua frescas. we always get the hibiscus and the horchata ones. This is a walk up and order place and then you grab a seat and they bring you your orders. Hands down some of the best Tex-mex food I have ever had. The breakfast tacos are out of this world, the carne guisada is beyond comparison, and it is without a doubt the best crispy beef taco I have ever had. That's a bold statement, but 100% accurate. Every time I eat here the food tastes like it just came out of a family kitchen. Everything is made from scratch, and you can taste it with every bite. I came with our family and we truly enjoyed everything we had. The barbacoa was very tasty and not at all fatty as you sometimes find elsewhere. The menudo is very flavorful as well. My little hole in the wall shack down south. Absolutely love this place, the taco are a good size, two usually do me well. Family run this place is cozy and busy. I have had to wait for a table once. They keep it simple here, no flare with their tacos like other novelty taco spots. Just tacos like grandma use to make. Of course they have more than tacos but I usually end up here for breakfast. Man, I wish I had found this place sooner! What's not to like about a delicious, cheap, clean independent little Mexican restaurant? Go for the taco platos, which come with sides of rice and beans. I've had both the chicken and steak fajita tacos and can't decide which I like better. As other reviewers have said, the tacos are big and tasty. Oh and the staff is uber friendly. Be sure and try some of their homemade salsas, the green tomatillo sauce is addictive! The place is a little hard to find, but once you've been there, you will wonder why you have driven by so many times and never noticed. Wow wow. This was my girlfriend and my first experience here, and our first impression was the super nice service. I got the breakfast taco plate with eggs/mixed cheese and eggs/chorizo and the plate comes with potatoes and choice of beans. It's magnifico. Added with hot sauce these were some of the best tacos I've had here in Austin and I've had a good number. The best part for me personally is that when you buy a drink you also get the chance to refill your cup with Aqua frescas like Horchata which is my personal favorite. This place is great. read more

Cheap no equal good. Their tacos were filled with dry, flavorless, overcooked eggs. Yes, they were stuffed which made them more breakfast burritos but, no real flavor. I would rather have a smaller taco, filled with quality ingredients, less egg and more flavor. Oh, and the secret to a good b. taco starts with a quality tortilla. I have been here twice and I like this place a lot. The breakfast tacos are great. Eggs appear to be cooked to order. Takes about 5 to 10 minutes to get your tacos after you order. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. Love the green sauce. My only issue is the tortillas, which are fine as far as the final product goes, are out of a package. Stopped in for lunch today and got the beef taco lunch plate and it was good! Was told they make their own taco shells and they are very crispy - which I like. The beef was seasoned well with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream piled high! And the rice and beans that came with it are tasty too! Really value priced for all you get. I look forward to trying their breakfast tacos soon as they are well known for those - people were coming and still ordering those while I ate and it was past noon! My favorite place to get tacos, hands down. I go here at least once every two weeks when I go to visit my folks. The food is huge, cheap and SOOOOOOO good!!! I love the orangey colored hot-sauce. Horchata is always a great accompaniment with tacos and they have a giant container of it constantly flowing. I'm happy just thinking about it! The puffy tacos are my favorite thing ever!!!! A long time ago the only place that I was able to get them was in SanAntonio but these are so much easier to get to, AND they're *awesome* here. Actually I've not had anything bad from here. We found this place because of great Yelp and Google reviews. They were not disappointing. Hungry for breakfast tacos, we marched in, confidently ordered two each and sat down. When our food was ready, we quickly realized our mistake. They were HUGE!. One breakfast taco easily filled me up. The first few times I stopped by was just because of the location, which was near my work. Now, I find myself craving a macho taco even when I'm far away. I can't think of a time I have visited when the owner wasn't there greeting customers, answering phones, ringing people up, or working hard to make sure it was clean and inviting. Prices are super low and quality is always good. I get two breakfast tacos, which are massive...have to be more than an egg each...for $3 total. I LOVE this place... I have been going every cheat day (Monday) after school and not only have I never been disappointed, but I have been impressed every time. Their breakfast tacos are huge and cost exactly as much as a taco should cost ($1.75-$2.25). One could fill me up, but I usually force two down because they taste incredible. Great food very friendly. My one complaint is that they do not have a system in place for call in orders. Most places have a call in cook to expedite orders for call ins who typically in the mornings are trying to get to work and don't have time to wait 20 minutes for a taco. This restaurant does not have this but I am hopeful that this suggestion will not go unnoticed and will be implemented as a great majority of their business is morning and lunch since they don't serve supper. read more
