An update. I have now been here 4 times, 2 of were walk ups and 2 while another got the food and we ate in the parked car. I am getting more and more impressed. Yes they cook a bit slowly, but it is from scratch. I have had both breakfast and lunch tacos. Will be back to try a few more items. OK. Just had an Al Pastor snack. Kind of a chorizo flavor. WOW! I've never wrote a yelp review, but this place deserves praise. Im from Arizona and have been craving AUTHENTIC Mexican food and coincidentally I came across this gem on my drive home. Have to say I had the best breakfast tacos I've ever had. The flour tortillas were fresh made, the Pico de gallo was freshly chopped (I love freshly chopped jalapeños), the eggs were just made on a hot skillet ... I could go on. I've never experienced anything like that. The price as expected was very low! Cons: I had to wait a long time for the food, but worth the wait considering they were making it fresh right there. Would have helped if the gals working there would have been a bit more engaging and have told me that. I speak fluent Spanish and they conversed with me but were more concerned with chattering about themselves. Offered me something to drink, but they were also out of everything I wanted or it was warm because they had t iced it yet. Rice - mushy and flavorless Beans - tasted like they came straight from a can Picadillo taco - not very flavorful. Kinda bland. Al pastor - pretty good, but definitely not the best I've ever had. Carnitas - wtf? Some weird ass mystery meat parts in here. Tasted ok, but still couldn't get passed those meat pieces. My mom had the green chicken enchiladas and said they were bland as well. The red salsa was pretty spicy and the green salsa had a good flavor. Prices are a bit steep, especially for a taco truck and mostly because the food wasn't that great. Meh. read more

Terrific little South Austin gem. Wanted something to sustain us for a wine-tour trip to Fredericksburg, and this little truck off the side of a road didn't disappoint. All the food is so delicious. Barbacoa is fresh and flavorful. Guacamole is fresh made and delicious. I've had the Cuban torta three times with Barbacoa and it's awesome each time. She's not open on Sundays. Huge bummer. She's hard to call and contact and hours posted aren't reliable. Her food is soooo food but she doesn't have reliable hours. I had the order of the 5 mini tacos, and I have to say they were delicious! She gives you the option mix your tacos with pastor and steak. The tacos were good, the avocado was fresh and this was the first time in a long time I had my tacos with queso fresco and it was good!
