The crew that did the demolition and construction were excellent. They took out everything, including the footers and poured new footers. All of the wood under the deck was pressure treated. We went with TimberTech material for the new deck. The construction crew was very experienced and meticulous in laying out and building the new deck. Everything is straight, well spaced and level. There was nothing they did that I felt could be done better. I would recommend the work crew very highly. The quality of their work was exceptional. The only issue we had was with communications from the office. We occasionally had problems finding out if the crew was going to work on a particular day, or if they were waiting for material (for example). All-in-all, a good experience and a good deck.

Horizon also replaced cabinets in the dining room, removed blinds, and patched and painted several rooms. David was our project manager. I highly recommend working with both Horizon and David. He provided an accurate estimate for the work, started and completed the work on time, and was always pleasant and responsive when I had questions. It was my first experience with a kitchen remodel and David proved to be patient and kind, never making me feel like my questions were silly or naive. He responded to all of my texts promptly and delivered on every one of my requests. The craftsmen employed by Horizon were professional and skilled. They did a fantastic job, and cleaned up as they went along. Horizon also operates a showroom in Fullerton, so I was able to see options in situ, not just small samples. David and everyone I met in the showroom were knowledgeable and friendly. They listened to me, made a real effort to understand my aesthetic, and then made great suggestions. That level of unprofessionalism created unnecessary stress during one of the most critical stages of my renovation. Thankfully, after extensive research, I found Shower Door Masters. The difference was night and day. Unlike Simmons Glass, Shower Door Masters did not run away from complexity. My project included three bathrooms, all with frameless contemporary shower enclosures, and each required precision, experience, and attention to detail. They handled all three beautifully. I asked Shay for help with adding a wall to my garage, change area of laundry air vent, demo carpet on stairs and on second floor , change subflooring on second floor, install laminate flooring where carpet was, new walk in shower, and upgrade our stairs to have risers.
