We came here for weekday lunch. We enjoyed most of the food but the lackadaisical service really moved our opinion downward. We waited 25 min for our appetizer and when we asked our waitress, she said she hadn't put it in for a 'few minutes' because she had to walk around back a few times. No apology. What? Waited 15 min in a line of people to be seated. Four men walked in a a girl appeared and instantly seated them. Ignored the line. She then came back and seated the two people in the back of the line and still ignored the four ladies ahead of me and my husband. I am so disappointed it this company as it is the second time we have been screwed by them. We decided to order 2 pizzas to bake at home. Two THIN crust pizzas 1 pepperoni 1 Thai. The pepperoni was good the Thai was thick crust and not 1 peanut on the pizza not 1! We also ordered cheese cake with strawberry topping but the topping never showed. Also a $ 100 gift card. I have eaten here several times and I am always pleased with my meal. The staff is always friendly, the beer selection is good, and the food is always tasty. This is your typical casual dining restaurant and it's a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. As long as they keep doing what they are doing, I'll keep showing up. read more

My daughter moved back to Billings and we had eaten at this Mackenzie river before and were pleased, however, this time we were so disappointed! First of all when we arrived we weren't greeted and she acted like it was a pain to even seat us. Then our waitress was fine, but when we received our food it was cold! All of our food was cold except the burger. My daughter ordered a Thai salad and the chicken was cold and I ordered a bowl and everything was cold from the rice to the meat. My husband ordered a wedge salad , which wasn't a wedge, and asked for more dressing from the gal that brought us our food. She went by several times and didn't look at us and finally my husband stopped her and she brought the dressing and just firmly set it on the table and didn't say a word. Just rude. As far as the booth went the seats were totally haggard, the padding was showing through and the floor was disgusting under the booth. We left and said that's $125.00 that we could've spent at a nicer place with better service! We won't be back unless we hear things have straightened out. The food was great for a person like me. I am a large very big footed female who loves her food. When I went here the food looked good and man was I hungry I had one of everything on the whole menu. Let's count the ways - - - Disappointments galore. Just over four years ago, following a lousy dining experience, we decided never to return the the Billings West MRPC. In a moment of weakness, however, on the last day of January, we relented - - - we ventured in and the disappointments mounted quickly. After being seated with menus, nothing happened for 20 minutes. Nothing. OK, you might say, they were busy. Nope. The dinner crowd had thinned out. Eventually drinks were brought. Then, after ordering an appetizer and main course (and bear in mind nothing complicated graces the menu), nothing for another 20 minutes. After asking about the status of the appetizer, the server quickly brought it, saying it has just been prepared. Another 15 minutes elapsed and a Willow Creek sandwich and a salad arrived. Wrong salad. Had to flag down another server to correct that mix up. A Cobb salad did appear, although with no dressing. Another server, another correction. A Cobb salad without the avocado listed as an ingredient. Hmmm. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. No fooling - - - never again. read more

We started coming to MacKenzie River Pizza years ago in Bozeman. We enjoy having it when we drive through Montana. Today was my birthday so I got to choose. We got the beet salad (the beets were a little chunky for my taste but easily fixed. We had poutine which was so nice and beefy! We ended with Good Ol' Boy pizza and thoroughly enjoyed that. Humble pie and the Thai salad- very tasty salad and dressing- the most measly amount of ricotta on the humble pie, that's the only reason I got the pizza. I made an order through delivery.com. I ordered the fish and chips and was completely shocked when I received my order. The fish was rock hard, dry and more importantly, one of the pieces of fish had a huge mold spot on it! A large dark green spot that I saw on the breading and fish itself, very obvious. I can't believe I was served moldy food. I took multiple photos and reached out to the restaurant manager right away. He falsey promised me a gift card, which I never received. I have tried leaving messages to resolve this issue. However, they lied and have done absolutely nothing to correct their mistake. I am disgusted and very disappointed. I'm not usually a fan of chain restaurants (even though Mackenzie River is a regional chain I still consider it a chain) but this location is awesome. They immediately gave us a small cup of goldfish as we were seated. Those with small children can attest to how thoughtful this is. It have my daughter something to do while we perished the menu. The server was excellent and able to recommend items based on our restrictions and criteria. The cheesy bread is always delicious and I love that their signature pizza is vegetarian friendly. The meal was well-presented, timely, and delicious. The location is convenient and parking is ok, you might have to park further out in the lot by some other businesses when busy. read more

Extremely expensive cold pizza that looked like it was cut by a child. The wait for the food was tolerable, I just could not figure out why my cheese was already cold and had solidified. On top of which some pieces were cut into tiny slivers while others were litereally the size of three peices. Where is the quality control? Such a great place for lunch! I got a small house salad (they have small and large portions) that was topped with pear! I've never had a house salad with pear in it, but it was nothing short of delicious. I ate every bite. The people I was with got Cobb salads which looked much more filling and equally delicious. I'll probably try that or their pizza next time. They have a gluten free pizza option which is always a bonus. Yesterday, my husband got the humble pie and it was the most delicious thing ever! Love me some Mackenzie River. I have been a patron since the 90s at Missoula's original locations. And am happy to be able to go somewhat near my home. Came here on my way to drop my mom at the airport. This location is near Airport Rd by Target. The staff was very accommodating to our needs to have a quick lunch. Albeit we came as they opened on a Sunday. We love the Greek salad and usually split the large and accompany it with a personal pizza. Which gives us two pieces each. It's perfect. We like the Flathead or the Mackenzie River, but the Rancher is great too. We also like getting the house Merlot which pairs well with those pizzas and is nicely affordable. Solid service, solid food every time. Bathrooms clean and tidy. Restaurant clean and fun. The atmosphere is nice, but nearly as done up as say the Kalispell North location, but not much could top that. Will continue to return. Yum! read more

I don't recommend coming here the bathroom has mold next to the toilet the handles are so crusty and gross. Right when you walk in you come into a place that looks nice but it truly horrible and smells like cigarettes at my grandmas house also cat piss. Was not pleased for the amount I paid but I'm not the type to start a fight or complain. When I tipped $10 for a $136 bill they complained that it was not enough.
