We really enjoyed the restaurant. The staff was super accommodating and split the Cobb salad 3 ways. Tuesday night pizza were $10 each. #iraeats #iraeats1

What a cute, clean and spacious place. We went for me a glass of wine and Mom Joyce dessert plus to listen to Jeff Henry perform. We had a blast and we will return for dinner another time when Jeff's performing. Hoping they can fix me a vegan meal. See you next time!

We sat outside in pleasant weather at one of their high topped tables. The Cincinnati Burger Week special was a French Bistro Burger with 6oz patty, caramelized onions, bacon crumbles, Brie cheese sauce, and balsamic drizzle. I thought the bun and the burger were average, even a tad small; no customizations are allowed so all burgers are served medium (my go-to is medium rare). I love cheese but the Brie cheese sauce was a bit subtle. Service was great; the kitchen split our order of sweet potato fries between two plates which was thoughtful of them!

Grandview Tavern has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the Greater Cincinnati area over the last couple of months. I love the live music on the weekends and the food is fantastic! My go-to is the locomotive burger with sweet potato fries.

I ordered the Burger Week hamburger, with peanut butter and raspberry Chipotle jelly, which was quite delicious despite the bun being very cold. The sweet potato fries were good, but weren't hot. Service was poor, with the server only touching base toward the end of the meal.

    Nice big pieces of fish.

Carry out version review because that all we can do. Very friendly service nice place was here a few times for supper in the past. Big place nice bar. I did notice they do sell pappy van winkle. So a special occasion maybe in the future for this. But got fish, grilled wings and BBQ pizza. Good stuff fish meaty. Grilled wings one of the best I had. Pizza well toppings great, crust was so so. Overall a fantastic experience carry out and all. So do go and enjoy.

This chocolate trifle is heaven for a chocoholic!

The steak salad used to be a favorite. It used filet and now uses something not really resembling beef.

This is basically bar food in an expensive looking setting. We both wanted to order their chicken wings, but were told that they only had 10 wings left. Which was puzzling since the place was relatively empty. And speaking of that, we made a reservation online thinking the place would be hopping for dinner. Not so much. I had the taco el pastor. It was good but was basically pulled pork on a corn tortilla with bbq sauce. I also ordered the Brussel sprouts which would have been really good if they weren't drowning in white sauce. I recommend asking for all sauces on the side, btw. TVs on the wall all around the dining room are tuned into blooper reels and trivia. All in all, the menu wasn't intriguing enough for us to want to go back.

Rarely does a restaurant manage to feel like a neighborhood secret while delivering a high-caliber…read moreculinary program, but Sanctuary Social has mastered that delicate balance. Tucked away in Villa Hills, it has quickly established itself as a "hidden gem" that defies traditional categorization--part sophisticated lounge, part high-end bistro, and part soulful community hub. The design of Sanctuary Social is its first masterstroke. It captures the paradox of being "upscale-casual"; you'll find plush velvet sofas and warm, modern lighting that evoke a high-end city lounge, yet the energy remains as approachable as a favorite dive bar. The addition of live music on the weekends elevates the space from a mere eatery to a destination, providing a vibrant backdrop that feels both intimate and celebratory. It is a "sanctuary" in the truest sense--a place to disappear into for a few hours. The kitchen leans into "Elevated American" with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients and shareable plates that encourage conversation. Small Plates & Boards: The Artisan Meat and Cheese Board is a standout, curated with a level of intentionality often reserved for dedicated charcuterie houses. For a more modern bite, the Fresh Tomato Bruschetta with whipped burrata is a bright, creamy essential. The "Handhelds": The Wagyu Brisket Sammie and Wagyu Brisket Elote Tacos showcase the kitchen's ability to take casual comfort food and apply premium techniques. The brisket is consistently tender, balanced by the acidity and creaminess of the elote corn salsa. Craft Cocktails & Mocktails: The bar program is formidable. Their seasonal cocktails (like the Blackberry 75) are balanced and inventive. For those seeking non-alcoholic options, the Blackberry Lemonade Spritz or the Jalapeño Lemonade offers a complex profile that far exceeds standard soda fare. Sanctuary Social is the kind of place that Northern Kentucky has been craving: a spot that respects the craft of food and drink without the stiffness of formal dining. It's a "destination" restaurant hidden in plain sight, offering A1 surroundings and a menu that hits its mark with precision. If you haven't made the drive yet, you are indeed missing out on one of the region's most compelling new additions.

The first thing I look for is a nice patio. Unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating today, but I will be back for this fabulous patio. I was there before the dinner rush, which explains the emptiness of the restaurant. More people started arriving after 5:00. There were so many yummy sounding choices on the menu that it was hard to decide. I asked my server, Erin, what she recommends and she said the CAJUN BOURBON FILET TIPS were her favorite. I went with that and was not disappointed. The filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It is served over mashed potatoes and topped with onion straws. While the beef portion was small, it was a satisfying meal and the flavors were perfection! I added a side Caesar salad. Their house-made croutons were so good and the dressing was tasty and perfectly portioned. I don't often order dessert, but decided to splurge tonight and got a slice of the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake to-go. OMG, this is one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. It was light and dense at the same time, if that makes sense. So creamy and melt in your mouth delicious. I will dream about it tonight LOL.

The place is comfortable; the tables are nicely spaced. Though it's a bar and grill, it has the feel of a restaurant. The menu is huge; so many options! I decided what I wanted, but kept looking at the menu. I considered changing my mind several times, but stuck with my original choice - SAIGON SALAD - arcadian greens / red and green onions / almonds / rice noodles / grilled chicken / soy ginger vinaigrette. The salad had a nice mix of greens. The chicken had an honest to goodness grilled flavor. It was the perfect size and seemed like a light option. It was delicious and I left feeling perfectly satisfied. Mark had CAJUN CREAM PASTA - grilled chicken breast / artichokes / black olives / tomatoes / spicy cream sauce/ penne. I failed miserably taking a picture, but I can tell you Mark raved about it. He also agreed the chicken had a great grilled flavor. He said the sauce, not too spicy at all, was delicious. He ate every bite. Three people had SALMON SLIDERS - grilled salmon / arcadian greens / tomato / remolaude / slider buns / chips. Everyone enjoyed them, though one mentioned the salmon had a habit of exiting the bun. Someone had a burger and another had NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN WRAP - fried chicken / cayenne chili oil / honey / shredded cabbage / cheddar / pickles/ chips. He said it was quite good and rather spicy. Everyone was happy with their meal. With so many other options on the menu, we could come back and easily all order something different.

I'm honestly surprised this restaurant is getting James Beard recognition. My mom and I dined here today and the experience was frustrating from the start. We were seated and initially greeted by one waitress who took our order, but we were quickly handed off to another server who was already clearly overwhelmed with multiple tables. This quick handoff likely contributed to the miscommunication surrounding our incorrect order, which could have been avoided if the original server had not switched us off so abruptly. She seemed far more focused on guests she knew who were seated nearby, while our new server was left juggling several tables on her own. I felt bad for her--she was clearly doing her best without much support. I didn't see a manager on the floor to help address the situation. On top of that, our food came out incorrect and had to be sent back to be fixed. We were also told my child would receive a kids' drink with her meal, which never came. Unfortunately, this has become a pattern--each visit seems to bring poorer service and lower food quality, especially considering the prices. I do enjoy the atmosphere, particularly during the warmer months, but between the inconsistent service and disappointing food, I don't see myself returning anytime soon.
