We went in yesterday right after the power outage. The beef was rotten, they added a lot of baking soda to cover up the rotten taste. It was horrible. We ordered beef with green beans, beef stir fried with rice noodle, and crispy pork chop. Although the pork chops were not rotten but the meat was really taught, old and hard to chew. I ran into this restaurant while driving through Issaquah. Yelp reviews were ok so I thought I'd give it a try. Server not to friendly and seemed perturbed that I asked for restroom To ash my hands. She removed a screen barrier to let me through. I waited for over 1/2 an hour for my food and I was the only customer in the restaurant many take out orders were picked up as I waited. Note that there is no preference to take care of customers that actually enter their restaurant. I ordered the hot and sour soup. Very mediocre. Nothing spectacular. Also ordered Kung Pao chicken. Meat was so marinated that it had a very soft texture. Plenty of peppers and onions. Generous portion. Again very average. Went in for a late lunch. No other diners, but owners were eating. They assumed I was getting takeout, which is maybe better. Atmosphere was awful. You could hear them chewing their food, very uncomfortable silence while waiting for my food. Entree didn't even include rice, had to order separate and for 1/2c of rice for $2 which I didn't know until my bill came. Almond friend chicken was flavorless gravy. I was craving some General Tsos so I called it in with spicy and got in the car. Not only is the food terrible, but the portions are INSULTING. My chicken was overcooked, salty and not even 2 star spicy when I asked for 4 stars. I paid 13 dollars for literally 9 pieces of chicken and 2 pieces of broccoli, that coupled with paying for rice I got taken for 20 dollars. When we entered the place, it was empty.....OH WOW, not a good sign, but me and my husband decided to be brave! We ordered the cream cheese ragoons, BBQ, Hot & Sour Soup....entrees were the Mu Shu pork & Almond Chicken! My husband is very very picky about his hot/sour soup, HE LOVED IT ! Loved the texture, loved the spice, said it was much better that mandarin garden! My almond friend chicken was awesome! I have had some that have had so much breading on it, that at times I had to peel it off....The almond sauce was amazing too, not clumpy, had a really good taste to it! I placed an order online and it was ready quicker than the given estimated time. I received a text that it was ready and headed out and picked it up on the order pick-up table near the entrance. I got the lunch special with the Wild Chili with chicken and the Sautéed Green Beans with Beef. I ordered them both extra hot, but of course, it wasn't spicy to me, and I didn't expect it to be. If you don't normally find 5 stars at most restaurants to be spicy, then I don't think the "extra hot" here will be that spicy for you either. What I like about the lunch special here is that you also get the cup of soup with it to go, where most other places only give the cup of soup when you dine-in. The lunch special comes with steamed rice; fried rice and brown rice is an additional charge. And no rice comes with other entrées. I really enjoyed my food. Everything was flavorful, not salty like some Szechuan food can be. And I really like the tenderness of the meats. I did like the Wild Chili better, and will come back for more of that. read more

After many years of being served well, this business sacrificed quality and a customer's loyalty for truly a truly disgusting $51.00 order. The fried fish and honey walnut prawns were fried in old old oil and the twice cooked pork was not lean but bacon. I understand that finely sliced pork belly is used to give the meat a juicy flavor but it came across as bacon and the fat was palpably and disgustingly obvious. This crap made us sick. It happened once before in another Szechuan restaurant with a dish called cumin lamb where the meat was 70 percent fat. I pulled out bacon from the dish, put them in a plastic baggie and went back to the restaurant for a refund the next day. Their offer to recook the dish I rejected. I demanded a refund. The owner gave me the refund and I told her to give the meat to a dog. read more

We had last minute changes that lead us to this place on Christmas. We completely understood that they would be busy but we were not prepared for rudeness. After a half hour of waiting, we were seated. The staff walked by our table (slowly) 22 times before realizing we still didn't have water or menus. While we understood the kitchen was busy, the servers could have checked our table at least a few times to see if we needed tea or water refills as we waited an hour for our dinner. There were no apologies. Being slammed on Christmas is expected but nobody should ever be ignored, ever. The food- we got mongolian beef, and chicken with broccoli. HORRIBLE. The beef had a gross sweetness to it and it tasted like sugar gravy. The meat was soft and the texture was off. The chicken dish was too salty to eat.
