I just bought a 27" Mac from MacProLA. An excellent experience. The RAM was bad. When I contacted Ray, the owner, he could not have been more helpful Told him the problem I was having.He had me take it get the diagnostics run on the unit. It showed the RAM was bad. I attempted to sell my Nov 2023 Mac book pro 14" to them which is less than 4 months old in perfect condition. I've literally used it 3 times which is why I decided to sell it. I paid 1700 for my MacBook and they offered me 800 which is insane and a lowball offer. Found a different location that offered $1100 when my asking was 1k. Don't waste your time selling your computers to this location they will lowball you. read more

I set something down on my MacBook and broke the trackpad. I took it to Mac pro and a couple days later they told me that both the trackpad and logic board needed to be replaced. They weren't aware of this, but my back book has only been used about 10 times and it's brand new. Something didn't feel right, so I declined to have them fix it and took my MacBook to Mac Horizon. The gentleman did the diagnostic right in front of me and showed me that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my logic board. Mac Pro had said that there was corrosive liquid damage on the logic board, but the gentleman at Mac Horizon showed me three dots on the logic board that turn red when exposed to liquid. The dots were not red, and my logic board was in perfect working condition . He actually laughed when I said I was told it needed to be replaced. He said I could have the trackpad completely replaced for $200. Or, I could do a temporary fix with a external mouse for $20. I opted for the temporary fix, and when I have the rest of the cash, I will definitely be taking it back to him for the full fix. I'm sure Mac Pro is capable of doing great work, I also think that you run the risk of getting fleeced. read more

Ray was fantastic. I cracked my Macbook Air screen and the wait times for Apple or an Apple-approved provider were upwards of two weeks. Ray was upfront with me that the price and time I was quoted by other providers wasn't abnormal and that his price would be similar, but that he did have my display in stock and would be able to fix it within a day. He was true to his word, and got my Macbook back to me the next day, working better than it was when I was using it normally. Like I told Ray, I hope to never need his services again, but there's also no one else I would go to. read more

I purchased an iMac from a Ebay seller and the Hard Drive failed among several other items to the point that I needed to purchase a new iMac. I found the MacPro-LA store online with hundreds of positive feedback. I needed a 5k, 27 inch screen, i9, 2TB storage, and a minimum of 28GB Ram. Ray, the Mac-Pro guy, put this computer together, and after some testing at Mac-Pro I purchased this computer at a reasonable price with a one year warranty included. I spilled coffee on my MacBook Pro. For some reasons Ray took a password from my computer. After they said me a price for 599$ for repair and I decided to pick it up I found new scratches on the angles and the most weird part. When I turned computer on: 1. He said that keyboard is not working, but it was. 2. On my computer was opened a windows which I never ever open. Mail was opened, but I always check mail through safari or google. And Apple Music was open too. It looks like they were searching for my personal information. When I asked about that he started to scream that he will call for his lawyer. The pros at MacPro-LA know what they're doing, and they don't release a product until it is absolutely done right. The aging chip in my 2014 iMac prevented me from opening the newest Photoshop and other updated applications. Tired of waiting for Apple to release a new iMac model, I turned to MacPro. They provided a 2019 model featuring the needed chip, and beefed up with more Memory and Storage. And they took the time to transfer all my data from the old iMac to the terrific new one. Terrible experience. Upcharged me about a hundred to two hundred bucks on each MacBook sold. I took it anyways since it was an emergency. Their cloned drive loads a copy of Sierra with a disk format incompatible with FileVault meaning that you still need to install Catalina, Monterey or Big Sur on them at home. For a place that does this everyday, this is concerning. Unprofessional and disorganized. Sold me two iPad's that still had accounts on them. With credit cards linked to them. It wouldn't be farfetched to assume that your personal information is being accessed if you bring your device here (another review also talks about having their data accessed). One of them also had screen bleed. Still charged full price because "I am giving you discount". One of the Macbooks was also scratched up very badly and it took some talking to get the price brought down. Establishment screams money hungry. Likely dishonest too. Owner was also scolding his tech to me for leaving for lunch, even though they left during a legally mandated lunch break. Would not recommend in any way. Parking is garbage here too. read more

Overall they fixed my computer but had I gotten a "hook up" I would've brought over more customers and products to fix.
