Great dive gay bar. Fun staff and patrons. They have an awesome back patio with wonderful vibes. Must checkout for drinks and good times.

Well I have been coming here late 2012. And to my surprise. They have changed a little. They once had ounce counters on their pour spouts. It always dispensed a correct amount. They now have free pour, which is okay. Well....... My regular drink is a double Bourbon & Coke for $8.75 it now has risen to $16.00 and yet down two doors, they have same for $9.75 where do you think I'll be going?

My night started out very bland and terrible... trying to go out with my girlfriends on our only day off on a Monday.. to our luck we found Mac's and their amazingly funny and attentive bartender Gustavo, we had the best night! We adore him and that's not just the amazing cocktails he has prepared for us talking. I honestly enjoy him and his humor. He definitely brings San Jose back on the map for awesome bar hang outs , even for a boring Monday night.

We're up all night to get lucky...LOL!

Overpriced drinks killed this cool, gay dive. It was more fun when it was cheap and darker.

I ordered the spicy basil chicken curry with coconut rice -- it was decent, but nothing particularly memorable or worth going out of your way for. The calamari leaned heavily on batter, overwhelming the actual seafood, and the Brussels sprouts were overly dressed to the point where the flavors felt unbalanced. Overall, it's a solid spot for group logistics and atmosphere, but from a food standpoint, it felt average. Not bad, just not something I'd prioritize for a return visit.

When I asked for a table, one of them grabbed three menus, walked right past us and started heading outside without saying a word. I literally looked at my kids and said, "I guess we're supposed to follow her to our table." Unfortunately, the service didn't get any better. Our waiter had the same dismissive attitude and actually walked away before we had even finished giving our order. And to top it all off, the food was mediocre. I could keep going, but honestly, I think I've said enough. For the price and the experience, there are much better options. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else.

When it comes to any business that sells and/or serves alcohol, nothing, and I mean NOTHING,…read morecompares to a British and/or Irish pub. St Stephen's Green is an Irish pub that is a Mountain View mainstay and institution. It's been here for a long time, and it's a great place to drink a pint, munch on some food and shoot the breeze with friends. We decided to haul ass down here for the USA vs. Belgium World Cup match. Presently, for World Cup reservations, they have to be made at least 12 hours in advance and are $50/person (which you can redeem for drinks and food on the day of your reservation). We got here fairly early and sat in some free seats near the front entrance. Before long, the place was a zoo, but it didn't matter. The atmosphere and camaraderie were still electric. Despite the atrocity of a loss by team USA, great fun was still had. Their menu, I should note, is extensive with a number of both Irish and non-Irish food and drinks. On my visit, I started with a simple club soda which progressed to a glass of Guinness beer and some Guinness beer cheese pretzels which I split with my friends. The pretzels and the accompanying sauce were delicious. The club soda and Guinness were as good as can be had anywhere. Prices, admittedly, are not the cheapest here though. For two club sodas, two Guinness beers, and one order of the beer cheese pretzels, the total bill (without tip) came to approx. $47-48. Service was good but could have been a little bit more organized. When I was closing my tab, my server ran off just as I began to sign my receipt, and I was unable to get a copy for myself. Not a huge deal I suppose as the pub was awash with patrons on the inside and outside. But I will say this: When I made a few phone calls a day or two before to ask a few questions about reservations and seating, each person I spoke to on the phone was really friendly and answered my questions clearly and with no hesitation or confusion. Some might think that such an experience like that isn't too remarkable, but, in a day and age of picking up the phone and talking to a computer and/or having to deal with poor customer service, this was a breath of fresh air. For those who plan to come for the remaining World Cup matches, if you do NOT have a reservation, be sure to walk around and see if there are any available tables (both inside and outside) that do NOT have a sign saying "reserved." If you're lucky to find one, you can sit there. If the table is indeed reserved, you can't sit there unless the amount of chairs at that table is greater than the amount of people for whom the table is reserved (which is noted on tables that are reserved.) There are a number of free seats up front that are first come, first served (which is where we sat), but they do NOT allow you to save seats for others. So I highly recommend that, if you plan to meet up with others, you arrive TOGETHER and EARLY. They recommended that we arrive at least one hour before the match started, which is great advice and served us well. Overall, if you're looking for a solid Irish pub in the South Bay, I highly recommend Green. SUPPORT LOCAL AND/OR SMALL BUSINESSES. 4 stars

Absolutely outrageous pricing; the worst part is, they originally served us 14 wings instead of the 21 we ordered, and still had the gall to charge us $64 for them. The drink service was also incredibly slow. We waited 15-20 minutes for our first round of two beers. The wings themselves were also subpar; other local places or even Wingstop are miles better. I remarked on wanting to try their Irish pub entrees sometime, but that won't be happening after this visit. Our waitress did comp us two drinks for the service. However, when she brought us the receipt only one was comped, and she only comped the second after we pointed it out.

They're only opened Fridays and Weekends so it makes sense why I rarely see cars there. The ambiance was cool, it was kind of dark, but it had a homey vibe to it. We decided to order a la carte (Texas-style brisket, the cats fusion combo, slider trio, regular fries) and we were able to try both their potato and coleslaw sides. Everything tasted great, we were all hungry and everyone's favorite dish was the Texas-Style Brisket. It was a bit pricey for what the portion was, but it was worth it. All of us had a good experience and much appreciated the service, so I have to give this place a 5/5. They also haven't made us feel rushed when they were about to close, which was very courteous of them. Despite their ratings on Yelp, I think you should give this place a shot. It can be loud, but there's seating in the back that save you from hearing loss. Entering the restaurant is easy to miss, and leaving the restaurant can suck, because you have to make a U-turn within 1 mile, back to where you're coming from.

The location is pretty unique, right off CA-17/Santa Cruz Highway, so definitely pay attention to your GPS and make sure you take the right exit! They're only open Friday-Sunday, so plan ahead. We came right at opening time and there were already customers there while the staff was still setting up, so I guess this is definitely a local favorite. Their AYCE BBQ is $35/person, with around 4-5 protein options like chicken, brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, plus sides like rice, pancit, mashed potatoes, etc. Everything was decent but didn't really wow me. I'm usually all about the ribs, but surprisingly the chicken and brisket sisig ended up being my favorites. Both of us went for about 3 small rounds before we completely tapped out lol. The drinks were actually a highlight! The Calamansi Spritz had me hooked from the first sip and I definitely recommend it. Our bartender was also super sweet and checked on us throughout the meal. My bestie's margarita ended up being too spicy for her, and she was happy to remake it for her. Overall, it was a good experience and I'm glad we made the trip to check out The Cats.
